@Elvenmunky The ML03 has 70mm height limitation for the CPU cooler. If the Scythe is lower than that than it should fit. The fans are set to blow IN to the case. Positive air pressure design pulls cool air in and exhausts out the vents. With the filtered fan covers, the inside stays pretty clean too.
Do you have any idea of what kind of aftermarket CPU cooler you could fit in this? Especially considering the support bar that looks to be running right above the cooler. I was looking at the Scythe Kozuti which is 4cm (1.6") in height. Would really appreciate some insight.
@azade91 The ML03 has 70mm height limitation for the CPU cooler. The center brace is designed for structural reinforcement to support monitor placement on top of the case. If you are not going to be placing anything on top of ML03 and the CPU cooler interferes with the center brace, it is safe to remove it.
Oh my. I have to say that this is by far the BEST (not "one of") video and review I have EVER seen on a case. Seriously. I learned so much in under 10 minutes that it's ridiculous. Demonstrating where the hard drives could be mounted was GENIUS! My man, thank you. If I could give you a chocolate-chunk cookie through the interwebs, I would. Thanks again.
@KeygenOSCracker You have to use low profile (half height) cards. You will be limited to cards that may not be the best for serious gaming. If this is to be a home theater PC, this will not be a problem. If you plan to do some high end gaming, you may want to check out a case that supports full size video cards like the GD06.
Does the pci-express port of a mini-itx fits with the first expension slot of the case ? ( for a low-profile video card )
Also, I didn't read well about PSU and I bought a Micro-Atx supply that doesn't have a ATX-like bracket to fit in this case, guess I'll have to get another one like the silverstone one you use in this video ?
@ThrlsS The PCI-E slot matches up with the first slot in this case. And yes, the case uses ATX form factor power supplies if you don't have one with an adapter. Go with the non-modular (the ones with permanantly attached cables) otherwise you may not be able to fit an optical drive in there.
@TekkSpekk They are intake fans. The ML03 uses "positive air pressure". The fans pull cool air in and force warm air out through the top and back of the case. You can add optional exhaust fans to the back if you want.
@ksstudios yes, thats for sure. my board would be a gigabyte h55m-usb3. i was just wondering if the height of the ml03 is not sufficient for the card. nevertheless i think i will go with a bigger micro-atx case like the grandia gl04 or gl06 in case i want to install high profile pci cards in the future ...
@Leudey then again, the ml03 would suit my living room much better ... will I be able to install andy kind of audio card in this? (the build will just be for audio applications, no video card needed at all)
@Leudey You are correct, this case only supports half height cards so even a different board would not help. Was thinking of a different sound card that has a short ribbon cable that plugs into the PCI slot with a second bracket that contained the external ports. Sorry!
@killhimordie Thank's! We will be doing quick look builds for as many cases as we can get our hands on. We are also planning a feature length gaming PC video as soon as the new processors from Intel and AMD are released very soon.
Very informational. Thanks. Although I have two questions...
1. Would the Scythe Shuriken Low Profile cooler fit in this case?
2. What orientation have you placed the fans? Blowing out or in?

Will the front USB 3 ports preform at USB 3 speed speed when the adapter cable is used to plug them into USB 2 motherboard headers?
0dogg2000 5 months ago
@0dogg2000 No, the adapter is just a device to allow users without USB 3 headers on the motherboard to use the ports at USB 2 speeds.

Great review! Nice to see an actual build instead of just reviewing the case itself.

This is the only video I could find regarding this case. Thank you for this awesome review.

are the 80mm fans intake or exhaust????

Thanks for this informative review. After searching Newegg and mulling over a case for weeks, I think I'm going to go with this one. Thanks again!

can i put in a m-audio audiophile 2496 pci card?
Leudey 1 year ago
@Leudey Not with the board that we used because there is no PCI slot. You can use a Micro-ATX board with a PCI slot and it will work.
