I use to use morphine, oxy, fentanyl. Whatever i could get to stay high and not get sick. I got on methadone, switch to suboxone.I was sick of taking pills everyday so i weened myself down to about 1mg. When i stoped taking my subs i felt dope sick, but it wasnt as bad as when i switch to subs and had to be off methadone for 3 days! That shit was brutal. Anyways, by day 5-6 i could actually do the things i enjoyed again. I went 12 days clean then 3 days ago i fucked it up. Feel kinda sick today
I found opiate addiction so powerful that I didn't even try to fight it. I happy being an opiate addict, in fact it's helped me in many ways. Currently I take Buprenorphine and see no way off it and don't wish too either.

Great video. I take opiates for chronic pain, though actually I take it for severe depression, against the advice of my psychiatrist. I can be on one drug (that doesn't help) or another that does. It will be for the rest of my life. I take one Tylenol 3 daily and it has made all the difference in the world. I don't get sick or vomit without it, but I feel cruddy. I'm not ready to come off drugs, and I doubt I ever will be. I need it like a diabetic needs insulin. If that makes me scum so be it.

Baclofen has helped me get off 300mg oxycontin following brain surgery. I have a whole bottle I haven't touched. Day 4 no oxy! Baclofen is a wonder drug for WD's i've been able to sleep and have NO WD's

Hey everyone, I too am an opiate addict. I was using IV heroin everyday for over 4 years. I got on suboxone at first without insurance and had to pay $7 per pill for 90 pills per month plus Dr. fees, which was more than $1000 a month just to stay clean. I've since gotten great insurance which allows me to get all my suboxone for free and I have a lot of extra suboxone scripts left over. I took meth and percocets under PM for back pain for 3 years, but it's a slippery slope to gradually take more than prescribed. I committed to going coldturkey by flushing all my pills down the toilet, (per the little shits that they are). It's "Day 11" - I've experienced classic withdrawal: chills, body aches, joint & muscle pain, low energy, anxiety, loss of appetite and intestinal (diarrhea) distress. Feel like shit!

Question to anyone that has relapsed from painkillers. 10 days clean and i feel great other than the fact i have not got any sleep in thoes ten days so i got sick of it and did 15 mg of perc just so i could sleep. will i go through all the same shit i did after the first couple of days of detox. Or have i gone long enough that it wont make me feel like shit. because i dont want to have to go through all that over 15 mg.

@hailstorm1375 subutex is much better but make sure you haven't had methodone for days or true opiates for a day or two because it'll give you an almighty rattle otherwise. Methodone's horrible stuff to give up, gives you a sweet tooth and slows down your metabolism (causing weight gain). Good luck

I say if you manage your life on Methadone, it's much safer than taking heroin or even pills. I was addicted to hydrocodone, which is really only about 5 percent weaker than oxycodone (OxyContin) Most people are deceived into thinking it's not nearly as addicting which is bullshit. I've used both I used to work with a guy that abused methadone, taking enough that it would easily kill most people. I think this is rare though, it can get you high but it can also help you manage, best of luck.

the argument against opiates always comes down to "addiction." booze and cigs have countless medical evidence that clearly explains how it fucks up your lungs and organs. opiates don't. diabetics are dependent on meds as are opiate addicts. once fixed up they can go on with other parts of their life (work, school, etc). docs prescribe narcotics for the elderly and sick...they would never recommend meth or alcohol. it should be our choice to be emotionally unavailable. not the governments.
Just keep the Lord in your life, and do his will, and he will take care of you. DON'T give in to the world, it will only drag you down and furtherly stray you away from your dreams. Once you get past the withdrawal stage, kick the methadone and suboxones, ONLY use them for withdrawals. Because if you're still doing them afterwards, your mind isn't truly free from addiction, and it's still dragging you down from being set free from it all.
(I'm an ex heroin, oc, and coke addict, along with alot of other opiods.) Coming off opiates is a LONG and HARD road, and a difficult challenge. You just need to hang in there, and ALWAYS keep in your mind, that you want to be on top of things, not things (like opiates) controlling and being on top of you. After you TRULY kick the addiction, that feeling of being on top of everything and nothing on top of you is better than any feeling.

I am on methadone also, I was on a program, but then I got this doctor to prescribe them for me, I know in my heart that I will always be on meth. My doctor also gives me clonodine, and seraquil, and pins, and i sometimes feel like I am worse now then I was then. the only difference is I aint trickin and runnin the streets of Baltimore city. Like you i still smoke weed. but at least i am getting help, and i wish u the best of luck in your recovery. I understand where u r comin from

you need suboxone - yes it is trading one drug for another but you can get by with as little as 2mg per day but can max it to 16 mg; if you take too much you will get sick and won;t take that amount the next day - BELIEVE ME IT WORKS - i used to chew 20 - 25 percs/vicodin per day = suboxone instantly took my withdrawal away too...........good stuff but manageable and wont' burn a hole in your wallet. It is dr. prescribed and monitored via office visits.

looking back on this video it seems so long ago, I was still using at that point, but not opiates, coke and crack mostly. But I can say now I am truly clean, have been for almost 7 months, I get 5 take home doses a week. I still smoke weed tho, it helps with cravings.
I been thinking about going to metadone, im using 600 mg on dolcontin and it has actually helped me alot. I have used or gotton drugged maybe 8 times, and when i took one it lasted a couple of days. Lets say 8 times i TOOK, in 8 months. And if i look back thats just amazing for me. I can get my driving licence back and still use 600 mg on dolcontin, so it doesnt drug me but some people think they do. So how would 600 mg dolcontin become in metadone. How does it feel taking metadone????

I've been opiates for about two weeks. Went through withdrawal, have depression, and crave, but have no sick feeling. I don't feel like myself though. Getting off of them is a good idea, but it takes alot of time to get back to "normal."

I use to use morphine, oxy, fentanyl. Whatever i could get to stay high and not get sick. I got on methadone, switch to suboxone.I was sick of taking pills everyday so i weened myself down to about 1mg. When i stoped taking my subs i felt dope sick, but it wasnt as bad as when i switch to subs and had to be off methadone for 3 days! That shit was brutal. Anyways, by day 5-6 i could actually do the things i enjoyed again. I went 12 days clean then 3 days ago i fucked it up. Feel kinda sick today

I found opiate addiction so powerful that I didn't even try to fight it. I happy being an opiate addict, in fact it's helped me in many ways. Currently I take Buprenorphine and see no way off it and don't wish too either.

Great video. I take opiates for chronic pain, though actually I take it for severe depression, against the advice of my psychiatrist. I can be on one drug (that doesn't help) or another that does. It will be for the rest of my life. I take one Tylenol 3 daily and it has made all the difference in the world. I don't get sick or vomit without it, but I feel cruddy. I'm not ready to come off drugs, and I doubt I ever will be. I need it like a diabetic needs insulin. If that makes me scum so be it.

Hey everyone, I too am an opiate addict. I was using IV heroin everyday for over 4 years. I got on suboxone at first without insurance and had to pay $7 per pill for 90 pills per month plus Dr. fees, which was more than $1000 a month just to stay clean. I've since gotten great insurance which allows me to get all my suboxone for free and I have a lot of extra suboxone scripts left over. I took meth and percocets under PM for back pain for 3 years, but it's a slippery slope to gradually take more than prescribed. I committed to going coldturkey by flushing all my pills down the toilet, (per the little shits that they are). It's "Day 11" - I've experienced classic withdrawal: chills, body aches, joint & muscle pain, low energy, anxiety, loss of appetite and intestinal (diarrhea) distress. Feel like shit!

Question to anyone that has relapsed from painkillers. 10 days clean and i feel great other than the fact i have not got any sleep in thoes ten days so i got sick of it and did 15 mg of perc just so i could sleep. will i go through all the same shit i did after the first couple of days of detox. Or have i gone long enough that it wont make me feel like shit. because i dont want to have to go through all that over 15 mg.

@hailstorm1375 subutex is much better but make sure you haven't had methodone for days or true opiates for a day or two because it'll give you an almighty rattle otherwise. Methodone's horrible stuff to give up, gives you a sweet tooth and slows down your metabolism (causing weight gain). Good luck

I am truely sorry for your Pain. Your right if you have taken Narcotics for a long time it can take longer than 3 days. But with certain OTC meds and some amino Acids, which are readily availible anywhere. You can make the Withdrawls bearable after the initial 3 days. It is not addictive and many scientific studies have shown that it helps people with Opiate addictions.

I say if you manage your life on Methadone, it's much safer than taking heroin or even pills. I was addicted to hydrocodone, which is really only about 5 percent weaker than oxycodone (OxyContin) Most people are deceived into thinking it's not nearly as addicting which is bullshit. I've used both I used to work with a guy that abused methadone, taking enough that it would easily kill most people. I think this is rare though, it can get you high but it can also help you manage, best of luck.

the argument against opiates always comes down to "addiction." booze and cigs have countless medical evidence that clearly explains how it fucks up your lungs and organs. opiates don't. diabetics are dependent on meds as are opiate addicts. once fixed up they can go on with other parts of their life (work, school, etc). docs prescribe narcotics for the elderly and sick...they would never recommend meth or alcohol. it should be our choice to be emotionally unavailable. not the governments.

Just keep the Lord in your life, and do his will, and he will take care of you. DON'T give in to the world, it will only drag you down and furtherly stray you away from your dreams. Once you get past the withdrawal stage, kick the methadone and suboxones, ONLY use them for withdrawals. Because if you're still doing them afterwards, your mind isn't truly free from addiction, and it's still dragging you down from being set free from it all.

(I'm an ex heroin, oc, and coke addict, along with alot of other opiods.) Coming off opiates is a LONG and HARD road, and a difficult challenge. You just need to hang in there, and ALWAYS keep in your mind, that you want to be on top of things, not things (like opiates) controlling and being on top of you. After you TRULY kick the addiction, that feeling of being on top of everything and nothing on top of you is better than any feeling.

Due I been addicted for 20 yrs and I'm 32 yrs old.. ghostofjim, I if u take them as prescribed, the chance od addiction is way higher...Talk to ur Doc...If your snorting thenn , taking more that waht th bottle sayd and selling and trading you do need hel. Methadone comes a s a painn reliever too, plus alll those stories you hear"my son died for 1 pll is bull shit they was prob getting high all NIGHT! OR TOOK BENZOS WITH EM!

but I had The Methadone to help me. Wow this video Takes me back, I made it so long ago! But here I am still going! The highest on my juice I went was 90, and I am slowly coming down and I'm at 37 mls right now. I think it really saved me cause I couldn't get off by myself, I tried a million times, I'd be dope sick for days, but I'd always go back. I say use ONE of the tools avail to you like Methadone or Suboxone....Just a thought.

Methadone is hell to kick ( i assume) Suboxone was hell to kick ( i know) and oxycontin was impossible to kick( at least for me)
the best way for me ( actually the only way) to quit opiates was rapid detox under anesthesia by the Waismann method..

I am on methadone also, I was on a program, but then I got this doctor to prescribe them for me, I know in my heart that I will always be on meth. My doctor also gives me clonodine, and seraquil, and pins, and i sometimes feel like I am worse now then I was then. the only difference is I aint trickin and runnin the streets of Baltimore city. Like you i still smoke weed. but at least i am getting help, and i wish u the best of luck in your recovery. I understand where u r comin from

Methadone can be the first step in recovery but most times it just puts you in a holding pattern. That's not a bad thing it's called harm reduction.

you need suboxone - yes it is trading one drug for another but you can get by with as little as 2mg per day but can max it to 16 mg; if you take too much you will get sick and won;t take that amount the next day - BELIEVE ME IT WORKS - i used to chew 20 - 25 percs/vicodin per day = suboxone instantly took my withdrawal away too...........good stuff but manageable and wont' burn a hole in your wallet. It is dr. prescribed and monitored via office visits.

So is the methadone I've been taking for 4 years, Suboxone just became available at the clinic I go to, I don't think it was avaiable in Canada when I made this vid, but I'm tapering my dose, and have been clean for almost a yr now.(cept for weed)

oxycontin is has the same stuff minus acetominophen(tylenol). however oxycontin is made to release in your body over a period of time. in fact the word oxycontin means (OXY)codone- (Contin)uous. thats why addicts crush it and snort it or chew it so it all releases at once and they really messed up

eh when i did OC for the first time i snorted a 10 mg right off the back....and chewed up a 20(nasty....)
well i did it a few more times in the process of about a year and finaly stopped since i overdosed and puked some yellow and green shit...didnt eat that whole day

looking back on this video it seems so long ago, I was still using at that point, but not opiates, coke and crack mostly. But I can say now I am truly clean, have been for almost 7 months, I get 5 take home doses a week. I still smoke weed tho, it helps with cravings.

I been thinking about going to metadone, im using 600 mg on dolcontin and it has actually helped me alot. I have used or gotton drugged maybe 8 times, and when i took one it lasted a couple of days. Lets say 8 times i TOOK, in 8 months. And if i look back thats just amazing for me. I can get my driving licence back and still use 600 mg on dolcontin, so it doesnt drug me but some people think they do. So how would 600 mg dolcontin become in metadone. How does it feel taking metadone????

Yeah, I've been using heroin since 2007. Two months ago I finally took the step to get clean and received a subutex script from my Doctor. I am dual diagnosis and have mental illness from the drugs unlike other people who can take drugs all the time and not suffer. yea bro i was doin 4 OC 80's a day for years then i couldnt spend the money so the last 3 years i got on heroin n been shootin the last 2.5 years and it was awful im only fuckin 19 but im glad to say thanks to NA my sponsor and suboxone i got my 60 day key tag today! so its possible to get clean n i tried methadone and just a heads up thats not the answer u can say what u want i kno i was there

I've been opiates for about two weeks. Went through withdrawal, have depression, and crave, but have no sick feeling. I don't feel like myself though. Getting off of them is a good idea, but it takes alot of time to get back to "normal."

THERE IS NO SAFE PAINKILLER except meditation and exercise. Eat healthy, exercise, meditate, yes, it's the hard way, but it's the ONLY way. Methadone killed my stepson. Try Subutex if you MUST take something.

Good girl, gate crasher suck. Ive was on the done for years, it took years to come off. The last 20mls, is the hardest. Its been two years now, trying to break the cycle. Current dose is 5ml. But its hard, Ive had years of being clean, and I didnt enjoy it much, and I dont like being stoned. Just straight works for me. Shit I dont know its really really hard.

Hey sweetie I was on methodone for 15 years I decided to try and get off myself , it can make your life more managable replacemnt therapy it was good for people like me suboxon wasn't around back in the day but I did go to a dr for them , way to expensive and it is easier though to get off you trid N.A But darlin you need help thngs actually can get worse nd Your using barbitutes careful I also did that taking zanax clonopin not a great idea good luck think about getting help PLEASE

Hold in there , if you are nodding off - your ready to lower your dose. I regret everything I did, always will - and crave things... but from 85mg down to 15mg now. And Honestly I feel just as good, No sickness and just take it slow. If iM on methadone at a low dose my whole life - so be it.

Have a good relationship with you Doctor and Pharmasist. And with an addictive personallity you have to take it one step at a time. When you have a craving for something bad think to yourself "Is it really something I need, Do I really want to destroy my life?" Obviously your going to say no. And then be proud that you said no.

I feel for you,and I hate we have to live with pain and worry about addiction at the same time. I have chronic pain and have to take a non-narcotic now. I was so scarred of the oxycontin. But also needed something for pain just to brush my teeth and put on make-up.
