  • @MegaElmo64 Hearing damage is cumulative. Go look that word up, because I'm sure you're too stupid to know what it means.

  • @MegaElmo64 only if you dont want to go deaf, my ears start to ring after a few shots out of my 410 without ear protection

  • Shots here and there without ear plugs are fine but prolonged exposure to high levels of volume will damage your ears. A lot of kids these days have reduced hearing because they listen to their ipods too loud.

  • LOL@ all these ass clowns on here bitching about ear protection...STFU!....Yes if you are target shooting...and running many rounds/shells down range you SHOULD wear hearing protection....It was ONE shot people.....A .25 ACP has a higher dB rating than a 410...good god people move on.....I fuckin hate trolls who come on here and get into other peoples business....are you gonna make you kids wear hearing protection when they go outside in case a car backfires?..dumbass trolls!

  • @TheVert1276 HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU ! my kids shot on occasion sometimes make them were ear protection never did when i was a kid although wasnt firing 10000 rounds in a day if your firing a barret or an anzio id say most definitely

  • shit I grew up shooting without earplugs. I can hear fine. What you say?? Huh?? You talkin to me???

  • No ear protection....pretty stupid don't ya think ?

  • ha da person letting da 6 year old play wit a 410 calling some one irrisponsible. when i was 6 i only had an axe and couple pocket knives. didnt get to play with da real guns till i was 10. pellet gun would be good though. and ear plugs for a 410 really? maybe a 12 or good rifle.

  • Kitchen Training: Outdoor Edition

  • practice makes perfect...

  • my ear is ringing

  • 110decibals is enough to damage the inner ear. Should I wear ear protection the first time my girlfriend yells at me (the human voice can reach that)? Other than that I see no problem in firing ONE shot with a .410 slug (which is much louder than 110decibals, probably around 170). If you're introducing someone to a gun, why not let them experience it to the max, to full understand what they're dealing with.

  • you don't wear ear plugs when you hunt, but when u target shoot yes you should but for fk sake one time is no big deal people need to stop freaking out and worry about them selfs

  • wear ear plugs, people! Lost half my hearing in my left ear because of walking by big speakers in a club when I was a DJ there.

  • Wear ear plugs, it only takes 30 seconds to put them in. I'm only 34 and my ears NEVER stop ringing. Can't hear my cell phone ring, almost can't hear the speakers on my laptop.

  • oh my god people. shutup. ! i went to beretta day at a friends farm, beretta brings new guns and you skeet shoot. they supplie everything, i shot the whole day, no ear plugs and im fine ? im pretty sure two shots wouldnt matter. and it looks like she really likes it, and if she wanted ear plugs im sure she could've used them, she looks like thirteen ? by the way, nice shooting, i wish we had cute chicks that shot around here.

  • @badassedis sure you're fine?

  • I don't mean to bitch like alot of these other people, but these guys do have a point, hearing is a precious gift that we are given, you don't get a second chance if you lose it. Surely its worth picking up a 20$ pair of ear phones at Walmart?

  • you like my name huh? haha

  • haha think its funny all the whiny people on here

  • @wolfcookieo9 i know right, there so anoying, its like u guys she shot a 410 OMG in like 40 years she migt go deaf, holy crap , make sure you wear earplugs when your watching TV cuz you will go deaf!!!! man grow up you babies, so haha wolf cookie

  • @avetravis so, it's a 410 So, can still lose your hearing. can tell your just a kid.

  • i never wear ear plugs the guns aint that louad u dont have to and u shouuld not wear them

  • That is an odd looking kitchen. =/

  • @xATiD

    You just won the game.

  • why are these people bitching about ear protection wat god damn idiot hunts with ear plugs in

  • You know its pretty irresponsible letting a little girl shoot a real weapon :P

  • holy crap, Haters on the comments, just chill, most people dont use plugs, i use em at the range if there are lots of other shooters, my hearing gets tested yearly for work and I shoot alot, there was no harm ,

    freakin kindergarten here!

    Awesome video man

  • Haha. "My ears are ringing." "Yeah well they will, get used to it." I shouldn't laugh at other's discomfort. It's great experience for her, she'll need it when the zombies take over.

  • ~GOOD JOB~ STILL TEACHING MY KIDS~

  • Nice to see the youth of today getting some quality trigger time!

As far as ear plugs...maybe she can ask the deer she's going to whack, if it will hold still while she puts her hearing protection in?

  • @brl1324 In this instance, here's a couple of the problems with your unlearned train of thought: 1) there are no "damn machine guns"; 2) for continuous noise, to protect hearing so's it'll last, ears have little muscles which attenuate the sound. Before your one shot, there, the ear drum is set to maximum sensitivity—never having time to adjust—kind of like putting a big steel kettle over yer head an' slammin' it a good'n' with a hammer. Now, you kin unnerstand all that—can'cha'?

  • @brl1324 You will be dumb when you need hearing aids.

  • @bill647 you're a pedo

  • wow what a irresponsible father or grandfather or uncle or whatever, making her get used to it and not giving her ear protection.

  • @hunterguy28 Wow you're a dipshit. These are the backwoods of Vermont that we hunt in. Do you wear ear plugs when you deer hunt? If you do... you don't deserve to enjoy the outdoors.

  • @Pricetag185 Um... Ya i do wear em when i deer hunt, its called i don't want to go deaf like you apparently want her to. My father as a kid would never wear hearing protection when he shot and now he has very bad hearing.

  • @Pricetag185, you´re clearly NOT hunting there! so give hear some hear protection, and don´t act like an idiot by replaying in a douchebag-manner!

  • @Pricetag185 agree with you mate

  • @Pricetag185 amen to that brother ive never used earplugs n i hunt with 30-06, and a 12 gauge

  • @tankownzu

i usually hunt deer with a 270. or a 30-06 or a 30-30 i prefer a 30-30 fuck pussies that use earlpugs i like listeing to the wildlife.

  • @juggaloliove God Damn Right!

  • @juggaloliove The first time I used a rifle, was a 7mm magnum, without ear plugs. holy crap, my ears rang for hours after! I still love my 7mm though

  • @juggaloliove U people are all ridiculous. In what universe is it ok for a child not to use the proper safety equipment??? WHile out in the woods hunting, I see b/c we ourselves dont use them when out hunting but while practice shooting it is a must!!! And people from WV get a bad rep......look at the winners from wherever it is you are

  • @Pricetag185 You are irresponsible. I hunt in the backwoods of ohio and west virginia. And yes while I'm hunting I don't wear ear plugs, I most certainly do while practice shooting. My husband and I have a great love for the outdoors, we too got our children involved. Our oldest who is 6 shoots a 410/22 combo and while practicing it is mandatory she use the ear muffs. That's just common sense. If you have no sense of safety especially when it comes to a child then you sir dont deserve it

  • @HisHeartlessBitch Wow. This was her first time shooting a gun and we wanted her to know what it was really like to shoot in the woods. She fired ONE shot without earplugs. ONE. There is no point in steering a kid the wrong way. This was years ago. She still likes shooting and still goes hunting every year.

  • @Pricetag185 Her first time shooting really?? Well then I guess your right being her first time and all, there would be no reason to do things with the proper safety equipment. She'll be alright I'm told the sense of sound is over-rated these days lol Good luck to her!!

  • @Pricetag185

That was two shots not one.

  • @Pricetag185 all it takes is 1 time to lose your hearing.

  • @HisHeartlessBitch ur a dumpo mckilljoy!

  • @Pricetag185 Not only that but its hard to hear an animal walking up with ear protection on. I use ear protection when I target practice but NOT when I hunt. Any one who hunts should already know this.

  • @Pricetag185 Actually,I do wear earplugs when I take a shot when I hunt.I put them in just before the shot so that I can continue to enjoy the sounds of the wild after I enjoy the meat that I take.

  • @Pricetag185 Shooting once in a while in a hunting situation is a lot different than continuous practice fire. Trust me, that constant ringing in the ears isn't something she needs to have. Foam ear plugs cost pennies, certainly cheaper than buying her a hearing aid by the time she's 18. Eye and ear protection is mandatory at any reputable shooting range, it should be at home as well. You can call names all you want, but you're still an irresponsible adult.

  • @hunterguy28 She could have had earplugs in. She looked like she was adjusting one. You don't know an ear plug isn't working till after you shoot. Hehe...

  • @hunterguy28 Yeah, kin'a toopid, there; I always carry a little something which I can make an earplug of—taught my boys the same way, . . .

  • @hunterguy28 ohh shut up

  • @hunterguy28 stop bitching and get back in the fucking kitchen!

  • @hunterguy28 lol you dont need ear protection even for a 12

  • @hunterguy28 well actually it can be dangerous but im an expiriences 10 year old 410 shotgun shooter and owner i did my reaseach and it cant damage your hearing unless you have ear problems but i get where you coming from

  • Get used to wearing a hearing aid.

  • huh! WHAT! HUHHH!

  • Next up is the .500 S&W, I'm sure she'll get used to that too. Hearing is overrated.

  • the dad is a dick

  • no u dont get used to it you lose your hearing XD

  • oh well u get used to it XDDD

  • I've always hunted whitetail with a .338 win mag, for years. My ears never get used to it......... It depends on what you shoot, I can shoot my brothers 20 gauge without ear plugs an my ears don't ring...... Different tones of gunfire, but that's beside the point of this video. Nice shooting! those .410s sure make nice slug guns, pretty accurate!

  • yeah get used to it man she got owned

  • use a 20 ga i hit a doe in the lungs at 100 yards with a red dot and she went 20 yards then she died

  • @TheSchrader21 sounds like you got dinner!

  • she said her ears were ringing ass hole you said it will to you get use to it. no it wont ass hole that's hearing damage.use ear plugs next time girl.

  • im glad Im not the only one that was thinking that

  • you ever shot a gun before? obviouslly you havent. because you actually do get used to it.

  • i have shot thousands of rounds through shot guns of all models and calibers numbnuts! the girl in the video after firing the gun said her ears were ringing, that ringing is damage to her hearing dumbass. you don't get used to it . ask any shooting pro.i have a dull ringing in my ears all the time and will for the rest of my life.when i take my kids to the range i make them use plugs and muffs.

  • well i have shot a .410 quite a few times. and my ears still work perfectly.

  • even the report from a .22 rim fire will cause irreversible hearing damage trust me. my ears have a slight ringing all the time and it sucks!

  • then its your fault that you dont wear ear protection. i am not saying its not needed.

  • what are you saying? are you retarded? your original comment was she would get used to it. has nothing to do with my hearing. so you can take your little gay.410 good for nothing at all and shoot butterflies until your ears bleed.

  • you have a choice to wear them. and if nobody wants to, then they dont have to! so shut the hell up and stop complaining! fyi: i shoot a .410 mossberg m183 d-c- bolt action!

  • how old are you little boy? do you listen to you daddy? or you just one of those little pricks that have to learn the hard way?

  • no. im not a prick who disrespect people and runs around drinking and doing drugs. yes i listen to my dad. and im 15.

  • tinywentz your ears are just different from other peoples your are obviously sensitive. mine are not and jonnythe ninja is right. my ears dont ring they did after the first shot i ever took and that was with a 410. cal also

  • look i don't care if you or jonnytheninja use hearing protection. the girl in the video is the one i was worried about.

  • what the hell are you talking about!? your ears do get used to it. mine did after the 2nd shot i ever made. your ears are just sensitive red neck

  • you are a dumb ass you don't get used to it pin head. sorry little boy but you don't know shit about guns.

  • hahaha she got owned....kinda

  • Comment removed

  • lol get ussed to it :D

  • WTF wear ear muffs

  • Comment removed

  • so im ten and ive shot 410. slugs i shoot clays with 410

  • when i was ten i was shottin moose every fall now im 13 and i got 3 mosse 1 blacky and a browny

  • was she wearing ear plugs?

  • lovely little girl

  • "What'ya say sony? I can't quite hear ya!" Yeah, that'll happen in about 15-20 years without hearing protection. Pretty irresponsible dad. BTW, i have a question, does a .22lr produce hearing loss? I mean c'mon even a hand clap is louder than it.

  • well i have a ruger 10/22 and it wont hurt your ears but if you shoot something like the ruger mark lll pistol wear ear protection!!

  • HAHA ringing in my ear... you'll get used to it. No you won't, you'll just go def.

  • Yea pretty much.

Anything .22 and over does instantaneous and permanent hearing damage without ear protection.

  • i wonder if hearing protection such as muffs really do the job? ~30 db

They always say up to x db. That could mean anything below, even 0.

  • 150db(.410) - 32db(NRR ~32db)=118db

that means what you are hearing is actually 118db which is below pain threshold (125db) and below permanent hearing loss (140db)

And they say up to X db, because you could put ear plugs in incorrectly and you may be 20db protection from 32db ear plugs Follow the instructions on your ear plugs. I made the mistake of thinking i didn't need them once when i was shooting my .45 and i couldnt hear out of my left ear for a week, never again did i do that.

  • how loud do you suppose they play music in clubs, rock concerts, etc.?

    motorcycle?

I shot off my ar15 without hearing protection once....damn. HAHA. I think I hate the ringing more than I hate the hearing loss.

Do you wear muffs/plugs or both?

Cool pistol by the way. I'm thinking of getting my first pistol soon (not old enough yet), would you recommend the kimber as an all around pistol? Desert eagle is strong, but hard to shoot in succession, and some pistols are easy to shoot but 2 weak.

  • this conversation would be easier by IM do you have yahoo, or msn messanger?

  • in the alaskan village ya gotta get used to it im 13 and i shoot mini 14s all day without ear protection and i can hear fine after that

  • thats cool shoot however you want to, you aint my kid, if your parents wanted you to be able to hear past 20 they will give you some ear protection, just keep this in mind one single shot from a .22 LR does permanent irreversible damage. And your shooting a .223 Rem., maybe in alaska you are all bamfs but i would still want good hearing later in life.

  • well all the elders hear fine and i ddont know what a bamf is

  • Yeah dude kimbertactical45 is right. I know you CAN shoot without hearing protection but think of it this way, chicks hate it when guys can't hear them. If you don't do it for yourself, at least do it for your girl. 'Nuff said. Stay cool.

  • huh? what you say? i refute whatever you say! huh? hey, how come there's a hummmmm? can you hear that hummmm? hmm?

  • i was 13 when i went to my first youth day it was a lot of fun and a good program.

  • it hurts her ears because you need ear plugs dad......

  • is she wearing earphones?

  • i got a .410 gauge its my favorite i actualy like it more then my 12 gauge its a mossberg model 500 pump action with a golden trigger and my 12 gauge is a maverick model 88 pump action with a 28 inch barrel but mabye just cause it seems more accurate and stuff

  • she should be using at least a 20ga a 410 is not a youth gun it is a gun that is used by skilled shooters since the .410 slug is a 40yd gun this is a common misconception

  • last sunday i shot an eight pointer with a thompson center 50 caliber with 55 grains of powder and it was awesome

  • AhHAhAh

    "my ears are like... ringing?"

"well yeah, it will, get used to it...."

awesome.. ringing ears means dying receptor cells meaning loss of hearing over prolonged time period.. use ear plugs. its worth the 5 bucks for a pack of 40

  • Man wishes he had a son

  • lol true story

  • a 260 remington, i mean

  • im a 13 year old girl shooting a 360 remington

  • same, what do you think kicks more306 or 410? except i be dude.
