So you need oil and gas to produce the fibre and the resin, and oil to lubricate the gearbox, and coal and iron ore to build the tower and concrete to make the base. So what is the carbon footprint of all that per tower? Multiplied by well over 100,000 towers to give Obama his dream....thats a lot of oil and gas and coal and ore needed to go green!
I was inside a blade last week when the turbine was standing. It was way cooler than on the ground. don't worry, i locked out the rotor so i wouldn't die.
They have some big rattlers out there in Sweetwater, TX....tastes like chicken....
