My Great Grandfather discovered the Bisset Goldmine. Alexandra Desautels May 17th, 1911. Alex was canoeing one sunday afernoon along the shores of ricelake. He noticed a rock that had some kind of vain running through it. When he got out to look at it, he said, "By Gosh There's Gold Here." (Bisset Daily News). Till this day I have the documents and claim papers upon his discovery.
