Oh my god, vitun urpo. No? Well how surprising. i hope someday I might and my group of three others might become the new Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. (hope that's not offending anyone because i too love Eric and Dylan)
April!!! 7 months before Auvinen killed people she was encouraging OTHERS to do the same!
mhm but still im going to say rest in pece to pekka auvinen to he was a good nice man that got mad !! becouse? we don't know why don't we look for answers !!
In America, we have a very bad problem with this. I dont understand why people kill innocent people. I dont think anyone will ever know what is in these persons minds. Very sad.
Many have been stating that he was not bullied in school, that is not true. He had been bullied since 4th grade and he was afraid to leave home alone. He also had panic disorder. In my oppinion, he never should have got license for a gun!
From my own perpective the effect of Tuusala shooting is egsagerated.
I haven't heard anyone mention that incident for months and this "lost trust" is totally foreign to me and the people I know.
No matter where you live there are always some nutcases.
Loosing your trust to society, school system and other individuals because of actions by lone lunatic means that there was no real trust to beging with.
I remember this... I live in Vantaa, and it is so close Tuusula... From my home is only 10 miles to Tuusula! I remember clearly when everyone were saying: "Hey do u know that there's a shooting on Tuusula?" In finnish of course... But... I hate people too, but not that much that I could kill... I heard there was two friends, one ran away but stopped because the shooter shoot her friend, and she died too... So sad....
When that happent, in auor school what is too in Tuusula, teachers say ''EVERY STUDENT KEEP INSIDE OWN BODIES''
Me and my friends are thinking ''what the hell its going on?'' Then someone looked on internet news. First we thinking there is train acident or something but that someone looked internet and there is shooter.
I sendet message on my phone to my cousin ih Helsinki and he say there is schools doors locked and they inside, becose that shootter was in Jokela school.
"You could have achieved so much on your visit to Finland to make this video :("
Well, yeah.. They were here for few days and came to my school to interview us - me, my friend and teachers, but they used that material for like 10 seconds :D
Hmmm this al-jazeera journalism seems to be little misleading, they seem to overgeneralize the whole image based on only few sources and by doing that they are missing the vital points. Just look at the news concerning about Finnish wolfs where the translations are fucked up.
You can't fit much more into three minutes of film, and keeping that in mind, this little video is as good as can be. I live in Finland and while we might not be "reeling" after the Jokela incident, I think the effects of it are still felt and I agree that some naive part of our feeling of safety is gone.
"Still reeling"? "Everyone are still affected"? Yeah, right.
Oh come on - none of that is true! In which country did these reporters go to, and who did they talked with? Im from Helsinki, Finland, and i can promise you, very few people here are "reeling" over what happened, most of us have moved on.
We remember it of course, we won´t forget it, but we don´t dwell on it. Why should we?
That report - in my opinion - does not reflect the true feelings of Finns.
Why hasn't the media ever reported that Auvinen's ex-girlfriend is Royalty?
Did he really send her an email saying "you now have my blood on your hands"?
Why did it take the police hours to get him to hospital?
Why were eyewitnesses told NOT to talk about what they had seen?
Was he prescribed SSRI medication? Had he been taking medication/stopped? Or was it just a rumour he spread to make him look "cool" among the ss community?
Was there a second shooter like some reports early on said? Do any of the witnesses actually ID Auvinen as the second shooter? Why has no public investigative report been released? What was the motive? There is no such thing as a motiveless crime, and until this question can be answered the crime cannot be solved.
Have gun laws been increased in the wake of the shooting? If so, well there is your motive right there.
Your reaction is sadly symptomatic of a populace that has been trained not to question the official dogma. Shut Up? No, people should rise up and demand some answeres.
Well the thing is, as u probably have heard of already, or maybe not; that it indeed is more difficult to get a hold of a real gun here and all instead of like somewhere like in the US.. Well anyway, at least u could get the picture that he'd been planning it for a long time.. possibly... Offtopic: ..But i wonder if the reason why theres so many murders a year in the US is because they can get a hold of a gun easier and can rely on it more than necessary and wont hesitate to take it use...
Says who? Because he made a video? I would assume nothing. Everything can be faked, even an online presence. Especially an online presence. In fact, I wouldn't even assume Auvinen was the killer. I have researched many of these school shootings and have come to the conclusion that many are actually government-run covert operations. The purpose is more laws to control the population.
What i meant by that was he must've been up to something like that for a long time, i mean he had his reasons i think, though he didnt have to plan any master plans to work it out, pretty simple.. Just get in there and start shooting living and running targets, since well there hasnt been many of these especially over here and as u've prolly heard of it already nobody over here or anywhere else knew something like this would happen..
Also even if there have always been people like this, there hasnt always been guns and bombs of all kinds at your disposal... And what ure saying about covert operations and goverment related operations or whatever doesnt really make any sense..... Sounds too dramatic for me.. Oh to control the populace by killing school pupils?... Huh?
Is there a single eyewitness that identified Auvinen as the shooter? Was the police report made public? Why not? Has there been new laws enacted to restrict gun purchases, to make Finland's laws more in line with the EU?
I can tell you for a fact that there were more shooters than the media are telling us in the cases of Columbine, Erfurt(Germany), Dawson College(Montreal), and Virginia Tech. These events are illusions set up by the nations' intelligence agencies, unfortunately the dead are very real. Believe it!!
Anyway i think the police and all came to the conclusion he was acting alone, THOUGH. He was (Auvinen) keeping some contact with some American kid who was also about to do the same thing in ANOTHER school in the US(if i remember correctly:D) but yea even he said, after he had somehow come into the scene in the news and all and had been arrested or took to some mental hospital, that he didnt take Erik could've done it...
Actually i believe i read from some magazines or heard from news that some people managed to get away and not get killed and even saw him, too bad i cant confirm it, but there sure was a lot of text about the incident in news papers and other magazines... The police had this strategy to prepare for so called "+1 situtation" where they would assume there was always one shooter more than what they were told if u know what i mean. Have you read about this from many sources..?
Helsingin Sanomat - Plus one rule of the Bear unit prolonged the siege.
Bear-unit arrived to the scene half an our later than the first police-unit.
This plus one -rule was the reason why the situation lasted so long. The school building was a large complex and it took time clear every room and closet. Police also suspected that other assailant could have infiltrated one of the classes.
Today, police brought final results to public. Auvinen had been planing his "main strike" since March 2007. This was found from his diary and information found from his computer. He was acting alone and there is no proof that someone made him do it or supported him in his naive one-man war.
What he did, he did alone, there is no question about that. All evidence support that. There is no reason to cover up that kind of things, not here. If someone pushed him to do it and there is no evidence about that, we will never know.
I thought this only happened in Brutal America??? Could it be that today's society is sick and this has NOTHING to do with geographic or language issues???
This is my theory and I'd like to know what you guys think of it: Killing people has been happening since the beginning of human history.
But these killings have almost always happened in the context of wars and conflicts between different groups.
Now that wars and conquering don't happen as often as before, a few psychos who would have blended well in any army or paramilitary group are acting out on their own.
It's all the result of the good old nature and nurture combination.
thats a very complicated question, ill just try to add thought briefly that i agree with. every individual has potential that they may or may not reach, depending on what kind of development they receive from society. reaching this potential will allow the person to act in their full capacity and freely contribute. the outcome of the individual character is greatly effected by society (ex. capitalist societies engender distrust, competition and fighting)
someone in a situation like servicing an imperial force that is sent to conquest is encouraged on a daily basis to dehumanize the people they will be oppressing. this leads to a greater occurrence of torture, murder, and terrorism. it is part of a tactic of spreading terror throughout the population so occupation will go along more smoothly.capitalist society has produced these psychological tactics to break down people and make them into tools.many of these people end up insane from their acts.
it is not just a matter of a few psychos, this is a tactic that is planned for and used. officials in the US army will claim that it is only the acts of a few soldiers when the victims are able to get their voices out and the truth can no longer be hidden. normally, this happens on a daily basis and goes unheard of.
i think it will be useful to compare these school shootings with what is going on in iraq. people who fight in iraq are often driven by huge harms that have been committed against them (occupation and rape by foreign forces, killing of family memebers, etc.), they see no other way to help their situation. in capitalist societies, these school shootings are often done for fun and can even be considered "cool" by popular culture. capitalist society dehumanizes people in many ways.
im not saying that this is the only reason for school shootings, obviously these kids feel shut out and have been abused by society in some ways, but there is also elements of capitalist culture that produce this "cool" element into the shootings.
capitalism promotes looking at every aspect of human life as a competition to be won, with winners and losers; people then become only worth as much as they can put themselves with the winning side. this encourages retarded interaction between people; some have to be on the loser side, and everyone is fighting in every way possible to put the other person on that side. examples of this fighting can be seen in imperialism, racism, class.
capitalist culture has produced a public relations industry that encourages and promotes these kinds of destructive behaviors and supplies the information for what people are to be considered winners, and what people are to be considered losers. this industry, through corporate media, put out the message starting at childhood that tries to turn humans into products that can be sold.
this industry wants to put certain goals in the minds of those who will be fighting to be winners: winners will be the people with the most toys (expensive clothes, cars, luxury) and whores (cheapening commercialization of human sex relations).
by promoting the qualities of consumer materialism with no moral strings attached, capitalism invades every aspect of life. people become nothing but body parts for sex (drastic increases in capitalist western societies of child molestation, pornography business, broken homes, etc.), marriage becomes a business deal that usually has no founding in love, friendship is determined by what kind of material or reputation advantage one person can get.
by promoting the qualities of consumer materialism with no moral strings attached, capitalism invades every aspect of life. people become nothing but body parts for sex (drastic increases in capitalist western societies of child molestation, pornography business, broken homes, etc.), marriage becomes a business deal that usually has no founding in love, friendship is determined by what kind of material or reputation advantage one person can get.
in this type of environment, kids who are being attacked have developed no respect for their fellow humans who have mainly abused them to get an advantage. all the information these kids have been exposed to has taught them to look at people something whose worth can be bought and sold.
this cheapening of human life makes it much easier for school shootings to happen, both because humans are looked at as something that can be bought and sold, but also because of the problems that the selfish push off onto the ones they abuse. a type of individualism emerges from society, where a person thinks they should generally do whatever they want to gain, without worrying about hurting others. it becomes "cool" and brave to murder defenseless people who stand in your way.
im not saying that some of these behaviors did not exist before capitalism. i am just saying that capitalism promotes these behaviors on a massive scale and refuses to accept that humans are capable of any type of other motivations. capitalism blindly ignores much of what makes up the "good" in human experience and come closer to forcing ultimate human destruction the more influence it gains.
Hope theres still people around that aim further and do as much as they can for their people and not just themselves.. Well isnt it just so that in groups lies real strength? And well theres many reasons why people should live for others at least as much as themselves but in a nutshell, men are herd animals (or whatever u like to call em)and well thats why people shouldnt walk on other, especially weaker people. And should try to show some love lol.
Also im not sure but i think its been said here and there that the world is already becoming overpopulated... Well.. I dunno. If thats the case, i guess a "natural" limiting system steps into the scene and drives the mankind selfish :D and in some cases gay..........? Way to go... Also well not only does war unite the people under the same flag, at least those who are having a hard time staying alive.. but it'll limit the population of man ;) yeah lol..
increasing brutality of wars has not done anything to limit population growth, but it has driven the world closer to self-destruction from the hatred it promotes. the human is a complex being, that shows much more emotion and morality than any other animal. humans are raised and dependent on society for individuality; humans have an extended period of raising the young. the question is what do we want to use to deal with our problems, including overpopulation: holocaust or mutual effort?
i think you have to recognize the difference between humans and other animals to be able to understand a desired way to deal with global problems. pretending that humans do not have greater emotions from other animal can allow the lazy reasoning and perverse morality of "might makes right" and hitler's "natural limiting by blood and soil right". when people suggest that others should be slaughtered to address overpopulation, i believe they should volunteer first for what they believe.
also, overpopulation is often claimed as the cause of problems like starvation that are actually the result of "free trade" practices that do not allow independence of national food supplies, making a people subject to the profits of foreign markets if they want to eat. the most densely populated countries even would not have problems with starvation if they had independence over their food markets. this is called overpopulation to make excuses to murder for profit.
also, if a small minority did not try to steal all the worlds resources and prevent development, these problems would be solved by the people themselves; war is only a tool to prevent a solution and create these problems from global imperialism.
the citizens of the US need to create a functioning democracy in the US through mobilization. if public opinion in the US gained democratic control; we see an end to the unpopular brutal aggression called "war on terror" (reparations should come for the crimes against humanity) , end to the israeli/palestinian conflict coming about immediately after cutting off US aid, ending predatory "free trade" and working with countries to transform into sustainable development, plus many more.
the shooter was. he communicated with theamazingatheist on youtube and TAA then admitted his 'vindication' after that he did some damage control which I commented on in his videos, TAA has blocked me since. the shooter was a disturbed boy, no hope may lead to violence.
I lived in finland, the best country I ever been in and even got education there. When I compare the finnish education system in Australia it is light years ahead.
The violence was random. The trustful feeling is commonplace here. But the conflict between Pekka-Eric Auvinen and his school was not random. The community uses violence against individuals all the time in Finland. People intentionally treat individuals maliciously, exclusively and destructively, and join together to maintain existing norms and ideas of normal personality. Everywhere individuals are put under the threat of violence should they disconform.
your a liar. the shooter was never subject to violence from the education system or other people and thus responded in kind. ala valehtele maailmalle (don't lie to the world).
Joo, Samu. But as a sociologist I wonder how the people involved in this were told to carry on their lifes and cope with the shock, and were never made aware of the competition they are living in.

So sad....
TiiaSan 3 years ago
When that happent, in auor school what is too in Tuusula, teachers say ''EVERY STUDENT KEEP INSIDE OWN BODIES''
Me and my friends are thinking ''what the hell its going on?'' Then someone looked on internet news. First we thinking there is train acident or something but that someone looked internet and there is shooter.
I sendet message on my phone to my cousin ih Helsinki and he say there is schools doors locked and they inside, becose that shootter was in Jokela school.

I live in Finland and while we might not be "reeling" after the Jokela incident, I think the effects of it are still felt and I agree that some naive part of our feeling of safety is gone.
eiralinnea 3 years ago
In finland...
We don't have metal detectors in schools.
We don't have security guards in schools.
Surveilance cameras are rare in schools.
We don't need them. And none of those would've prevented what happened.
o3bot 3 years ago 5
"Still reeling"? "Everyone are still affected"? Yeah, right.
Oh come on - none of that is true! In which country did these reporters go to, and who did they talked with? Im from Helsinki, Finland, and i can promise you, very few people here are "reeling" over what happened, most of us have moved on.
We remember it of course, we won´t forget it, but we don´t dwell on it. Why should we?
That report - in my opinion - does not reflect the true feelings of Finns.
cacomuco 3 years ago 2
As a Finn from Espoo, I find the name of the video odd. I don't know one person "still reeling" from the Jokela incident.

I'd read it as referring to society and the framework set by legislation (such as the revised sports firearm bill), not so much the people.

Was Auvinen's YouTube life examined properly. YouTube WAS an important part of his life he uploaded 89 videos in 18 days! and watched over 2000!
Of course he would have been influenced by what people said to him here!
foreric4 3 years ago
Was there a second shooter like some reports early on said? Do any of the witnesses actually ID Auvinen as the second shooter? Why has no public investigative report been released? What was the motive? There is no such thing as a motiveless crime, and until this question can be answered the crime cannot be solved.
Have gun laws been increased in the wake of the shooting? If so, well there is your motive right there.

Tupiii89 3 years ago
Well the thing is, as u probably have heard of already, or maybe not; that it indeed is more difficult to get a hold of a real gun here and all instead of like somewhere like in the US.. Well anyway, at least u could get the picture that he'd been planning it for a long time.. possibly... Offtopic: ..But i wonder if the reason why theres so many murders a year in the US is because they can get a hold of a gun easier and can rely on it more than necessary and wont hesitate to take it use...
AttilaKattila 3 years ago
"he'd been planning it for a long time"
Says who? Because he made a video? I would assume nothing. Everything can be faked, even an online presence. Especially an online presence. In fact, I wouldn't even assume Auvinen was the killer. I have researched many of these school shootings and have come to the conclusion that many are actually government-run covert operations. The purpose is more laws to control the population.
starviego 3 years ago
What i meant by that was he must've been up to something like that for a long time, i mean he had his reasons i think, though he didnt have to plan any master plans to work it out, pretty simple.. Just get in there and start shooting living and running targets, since well there hasnt been many of these especially over here and as u've prolly heard of it already nobody over here or anywhere else knew something like this would happen..
AttilaKattila 3 years ago
Also even if there have always been people like this, there hasnt always been guns and bombs of all kinds at your disposal... And what ure saying about covert operations and goverment related operations or whatever doesnt really make any sense..... Sounds too dramatic for me.. Oh to control the populace by killing school pupils?... Huh?
AttilaKattila 3 years ago
Is there a single eyewitness that identified Auvinen as the shooter? Was the police report made public? Why not? Has there been new laws enacted to restrict gun purchases, to make Finland's laws more in line with the EU?
starviego 3 years ago
I can tell you for a fact that there were more shooters than the media are telling us in the cases of Columbine, Erfurt(Germany), Dawson College(Montreal), and Virginia Tech. These events are illusions set up by the nations' intelligence agencies, unfortunately the dead are very real. Believe it!!
starviego 3 years ago
Anyway i think the police and all came to the conclusion he was acting alone, THOUGH. He was (Auvinen) keeping some contact with some American kid who was also about to do the same thing in ANOTHER school in the US(if i remember correctly:D) but yea even he said, after he had somehow come into the scene in the news and all and had been arrested or took to some mental hospital, that he didnt take Erik could've done it...

think*, man its difficult to type without seeing the keys.......

Yes both Auvinen and his ex-girlfriend had contact with Shadow19462 Dillon Cossey.
Which is maybe yet another reason why his ex-girlfriend should have been investigated.
onlyone84 3 years ago
Actually i believe i read from some magazines or heard from news that some people managed to get away and not get killed and even saw him, too bad i cant confirm it, but there sure was a lot of text about the incident in news papers and other magazines... The police had this strategy to prepare for so called "+1 situtation" where they would assume there was always one shooter more than what they were told if u know what i mean. Have you read about this from many sources..?
AttilaKattila 3 years ago
Helsingin Sanomat - Plus one rule of the Bear unit prolonged the siege.
Bear-unit arrived to the scene half an our later than the first police-unit.
This plus one -rule was the reason why the situation lasted so long. The school building was a large complex and it took time clear every room and closet. Police also suspected that other assailant could have infiltrated one of the classes.
onlyone84 3 years ago
yep.
AttilaKattila 3 years ago
Today, police brought final results to public. Auvinen had been planing his "main strike" since March 2007. This was found from his diary and information found from his computer. He was acting alone and there is no proof that someone made him do it or supported him in his naive one-man war.
jpenna1976 3 years ago
"He was acting alone and there is no proof that someone made him do it or supported him"
Yeah, that is what they always say. Don't beleive it! These types NEVER act alone.

What he did, he did alone, there is no question about that. All evidence support that. There is no reason to cover up that kind of things, not here. If someone pushed him to do it and there is no evidence about that, we will never know.

Yes/no?
PhilistineTheArtLuvr 3 years ago
thats a very complicated question, ill just try to add thought briefly that i agree with. every individual has potential that they may or may not reach, depending on what kind of development they receive from society. reaching this potential will allow the person to act in their full capacity and freely contribute. the outcome of the individual character is greatly effected by society (ex. capitalist societies engender distrust, competition and fighting)
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
someone in a situation like servicing an imperial force that is sent to conquest is encouraged on a daily basis to dehumanize the people they will be oppressing. this leads to a greater occurrence of torture, murder, and terrorism. it is part of a tactic of spreading terror throughout the population so occupation will go along more smoothly.capitalist society has produced these psychological tactics to break down people and make them into tools.many of these people end up insane from their acts.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
it is not just a matter of a few psychos, this is a tactic that is planned for and used. officials in the US army will claim that it is only the acts of a few soldiers when the victims are able to get their voices out and the truth can no longer be hidden. normally, this happens on a daily basis and goes unheard of.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
i think it will be useful to compare these school shootings with what is going on in iraq. people who fight in iraq are often driven by huge harms that have been committed against them (occupation and rape by foreign forces, killing of family memebers, etc.), they see no other way to help their situation. in capitalist societies, these school shootings are often done for fun and can even be considered "cool" by popular culture. capitalist society dehumanizes people in many ways.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
im not saying that this is the only reason for school shootings, obviously these kids feel shut out and have been abused by society in some ways, but there is also elements of capitalist culture that produce this "cool" element into the shootings.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
capitalism promotes looking at every aspect of human life as a competition to be won, with winners and losers; people then become only worth as much as they can put themselves with the winning side. this encourages retarded interaction between people; some have to be on the loser side, and everyone is fighting in every way possible to put the other person on that side. examples of this fighting can be seen in imperialism, racism, class.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
capitalist culture has produced a public relations industry that encourages and promotes these kinds of destructive behaviors and supplies the information for what people are to be considered winners, and what people are to be considered losers. this industry, through corporate media, put out the message starting at childhood that tries to turn humans into products that can be sold.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
this industry wants to put certain goals in the minds of those who will be fighting to be winners: winners will be the people with the most toys (expensive clothes, cars, luxury) and whores (cheapening commercialization of human sex relations).
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
by promoting the qualities of consumer materialism with no moral strings attached, capitalism invades every aspect of life. people become nothing but body parts for sex (drastic increases in capitalist western societies of child molestation, pornography business, broken homes, etc.), marriage becomes a business deal that usually has no founding in love, friendship is determined by what kind of material or reputation advantage one person can get.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago 3

in this type of environment, kids who are being attacked have developed no respect for their fellow humans who have mainly abused them to get an advantage. all the information these kids have been exposed to has taught them to look at people something whose worth can be bought and sold.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
this cheapening of human life makes it much easier for school shootings to happen, both because humans are looked at as something that can be bought and sold, but also because of the problems that the selfish push off onto the ones they abuse. a type of individualism emerges from society, where a person thinks they should generally do whatever they want to gain, without worrying about hurting others. it becomes "cool" and brave to murder defenseless people who stand in your way.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
im not saying that some of these behaviors did not exist before capitalism. i am just saying that capitalism promotes these behaviors on a massive scale and refuses to accept that humans are capable of any type of other motivations. capitalism blindly ignores much of what makes up the "good" in human experience and come closer to forcing ultimate human destruction the more influence it gains.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago 2
wow, that a long comment...
AttilaKattila 3 years ago
Also im not sure but i think its been said here and there that the world is already becoming overpopulated... Well.. I dunno. If thats the case, i guess a "natural" limiting system steps into the scene and drives the mankind selfish :D and in some cases gay..........? Way to go... Also well not only does war unite the people under the same flag, at least those who are having a hard time staying alive.. but it'll limit the population of man ;) yeah lol..
AttilaKattila 3 years ago
increasing brutality of wars has not done anything to limit population growth, but it has driven the world closer to self-destruction from the hatred it promotes. the human is a complex being, that shows much more emotion and morality than any other animal. humans are raised and dependent on society for individuality; humans have an extended period of raising the young. the question is what do we want to use to deal with our problems, including overpopulation: holocaust or mutual effort?
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
i think you have to recognize the difference between humans and other animals to be able to understand a desired way to deal with global problems. pretending that humans do not have greater emotions from other animal can allow the lazy reasoning and perverse morality of "might makes right" and hitler's "natural limiting by blood and soil right". when people suggest that others should be slaughtered to address overpopulation, i believe they should volunteer first for what they believe.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
also, overpopulation is often claimed as the cause of problems like starvation that are actually the result of "free trade" practices that do not allow independence of national food supplies, making a people subject to the profits of foreign markets if they want to eat. the most densely populated countries even would not have problems with starvation if they had independence over their food markets. this is called overpopulation to make excuses to murder for profit.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
also, if a small minority did not try to steal all the worlds resources and prevent development, these problems would be solved by the people themselves; war is only a tool to prevent a solution and create these problems from global imperialism.
jklasdfjdfksl 3 years ago
Hmmmm maybe u won... But is there anything that can be done to solve the biggest problems all over the world..? im pretty sure u know some...
AttilaKattila 3 years ago
the citizens of the US need to create a functioning democracy in the US through mobilization. if public opinion in the US gained democratic control; we see an end to the unpopular brutal aggression called "war on terror" (reparations should come for the crimes against humanity) , end to the israeli/palestinian conflict coming about immediately after cutting off US aid, ending predatory "free trade" and working with countries to transform into sustainable development, plus many more.
