It makes me happy to see scientists, even though with living proof here, are wrong and skeptical about chi. I wonder what other mysterious things they say couldn't possibly be real exist.. like Idk, God?
what exactly do you mean by "living proof here"? because i see no proof of chi here and haven't seen anywhere. and speaking of religions, again there's no proof to support the existence of god. anyone can believe it if they want to but it's only a belief and nothing more. something that many tma believers should start to understand already.
You tube has plenty of video's of untrained female school girls bending a re-bars with their throats. Look it up.
And you tube has plenty of video of old age pensioners in dodgy personal development seminars breaking arrows with their throat. Look it up.
Oh, medievalKninja and 7890cv how silly are you. Chi is for new age massage therapists. Look up Wollfs Law and conditioning, and while you are at it can you ask your mummy and daddy why your such twats.
@wolverqueen69 Yeah seriously dude you need to rethink this comment. Wolff's Law, which i'm sure you only know about through watching the 'Human Weapon' videos and not your own research, applies to BONES. The lady in this video has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (or something like that if i recall) and clearly says no modern science can explain it. Chi is for new age massage therapists? Fuck me you're a moron. Im not even going to go into it..but i'll give you a clue, its much older than you are.
@Russ078188 Hi Russ, The Sternum is made of bone as far as my primary school education taught me. The lady in this Video has a PhD in being a Drama Queen (it is T.V after all) and James Randi would quite happily give a million dollars to the poor chap and any of you mugs who could prove that it is chi. Oh, and I'm a woman... dude ! (but I'd still kick your arse)
@wolverqueen69 Wow fascinating.. do you even know where the sternum is? It ends at about 3cm below the clavicles. That's right trust it all to high school education you learn everything there is to know there.. 'It is TV after all'? So this means her credentials are fake? Wow. Also, you'd kick my arse? Over the internet? You wouldn't anyway so don't make me laugh. Oh and girls can be dudes too.. I'd guessed from wolverQUEEN you were female.. I conclude with this... Bitch Please!
How dare you ! Don't you know who I am? I am a 5th Dan in Sho-da-kok. Show some respect back ! I suppose you might try and Dim Sim me if I don't agree with your naive, little boy ideas. I would also image that both of you, 7890cv and MedievalKninja are both 40 year old men with Bruce Lee posters on your bedroom walls and no life. Probably both fat and living in the deluded fantasy that given a chance you could save the word with your 5 knuckle shuffle (aka 1 inch punch). Grow up.
@wolverqueen69 Oh my god show some respect? This comment alone proves you are not a 5th dan in anything. OR that if you are you should be stripped of your rank and made to learn it all again - starting with respect. If you dont give respect you should expect to be treated without respect - for lack of a better explanation you will be constantly put in your place.
@Russ078188 Hi Russ, so are you a new age massage therapist? Sounds like it. Are you a 5th Dan in Reiki as well? Are you going to put me in my place? Would that be a massage couch? Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. In my art of Sho-da-kok, we can fire chi like in Star Wars... It's blue and everything !
What a load of useless bollocks. These monks and their wannabe supporters need to grow up and have a big reality check. Iron shirt your face (iron face !) (your throat, your eyes and your nose and the back of your neck) and you might be onto something. Until then stop trying and failing to be something your not - invulnerable. It's a big joke and an even bigger con. As for the spear thing, any second rate personal development seminar will show you how to do that. It's a trick of physiology.
@MedievalKninja How dare you ! Don't you know who I am? I am a 5th Dan in Sho-da-kok. Show some respect back ! I suppose you might try and Dim Sim me if I don't agree with your naive, little boy ideas. useless bollocks is commenting about something that you clearly know nothing about (the show, the art, monks, iron shirt, grammar, knowing about how to bend a spear with your neck). If you knew something and posted here, fair enough, but you don't. Keep your ignorance to your self.
@7890cv How dare you ! Don't you know who I am? I am a 5th Dan in Sho-da-kok. Show some respect back ! I suppose you might try and Dim Sim me if I don't agree with your naive, little boy ideas. @7890cv its futile man, just ignore those frustrated dorks... trust me I've tryed it, he already made his choice and no matter what he see or even feel he will be determined to defend his Ignorant and shallow position. People like that are not open to any ideas besides their preinstalled Engrams.. its probably not their falt either.. who knows what his parents or Sourroundings did to him, where is he ducated and how (or is he at all),anyway no point,not over WEB and not with ytube comments
Why not just go get the training if you want it, then maybe you can experience chi and it's effects for yourself. Science not being able to measure it make sense. The Western world this science came from doesn't even percieve the world of chi. Why would you have the tools to validate something you can even confirm exists. People all over the world though can and have confirmed its existence and have sciences to make use of it. Why not learn from them rather than to validate them?
This video isn't about whether ch'i is real or not, so quit arguing over something thats like catching smoke. Its about the power that this guy has to resist something an uncondiotioned human coudn't, what or however he attained it. Whatever the explanation is, I certainly woudn't be stupid enough to press a spear against my throat without such training.
I always said bruce lee got murdeded for teaching non chinese martal arts after he was orded not to but he continued anyways and of course they got away with it no charges were filed for it and I still say he was cold blood murded to this day damn losers COLD BLOODED MURDERS
@crazychiefwolf Bruce Lee died from a cerebral edema due to the medication he took for a sever headache. There was also evidence of a rare strand of cannibus in his stomach as well, and since his body did not contain the fat cells required to store it, it may have caused biochemical damage as well. He passed away shortly after slipping into a coma in his bed peacefully, no evidence whatsoever of murder.
@CarsGunsBooze I doubt the presence of cannabis made much of a difference. The active constituents are not known to have any drug interaction, or toxicity; Negative and undesirable effects yes, toxicity no.
ur one those types of people who try to explain everything with science this is not the place for u plz gtfo bcuz scientist constantly tried to prove chi wrong but it always came up a inconclusive face it chi is real u skeptic fucks
why? because nothing in that video is suggesting that chi exists? they are just tough dudes doing challenging things that however may look more challenging than they are. for example the guy hitting with the bat is doing extra by pulling the bat after the hit making it look like more powerful. they have done absolutely nothing that couldn't be explained. some of the things they are doing are quite normal actually.
This shit is real, my dad is a master in Shaolin Kung Fu and spent 18 training in Iron Palm and he said he could put a serious dent in a one inch iron plate with one left handed open palm strike. Him telling me that and him being in his late 40's i thought it was absolute rubbish and forced him to do it after a good 2 moths, but sure as hell he did it and ever since to this day i know there is such thing as Chi even when my mates thing it bullshit i just keep shut cos they haven't seen shit.
so our atoms or molecules are merely the architecture or highway for energy transmission and interaction, the energy is like cars driving through the highway, perhaps, or like information going through the Internet.
oooooor perhaps the spear thing is a trick and taking that hit was not that impressive at all. The guy with the bat even reduced the force when he was actually hitting the monk and the monk took some force out of it by stepping forward. To be honest I couldn't do that spear trick but taking that kind of hit is quite a basic thing in any combat sport.
@MasterWarri yes that is a possibility. but when he took 2300 or 2500 pounds of force to his neck as measured by the computer that is very hard to explain,
you mean a throat? again, i believe it's a trick as also explained in these comments (page 2 or 3). why not take the same force as a strike? because he can't. the guy would've hit much harder with the bat if the monk really could. and it's annoying as hell how the guy with the bat is overacting. how he punches his bat back is obviously overreaction.
this makes me wonder if chi/energy is like the communication going through our body and our body is like the structure, the neurotransmitters for example are chemicals but they transmit electrically chargged ions that travel thrpugh out the body, perhaps there may be a connection of chi and electricity since their may be some unknown discoverys in physics connecting the two, like how electricty and magnetism is connected.
This guy is awesome. Iron Shirt. Untaught secret science is collagen is a liquid crystal. Its tensile strength is a function of the electrical energy passing through it. Fascia, tendons, bone marrow, and skin is made of liquid crystals. Liquid crystals are used in fibers with tensile strength greater than steel. The energy of the collagen in humans has already been measured by Dr. Robert Becker. We all have a liquid crystal shirt just don't know how to condition or use it.
Bruce Lee was a true MMA fighter rooted in Kung Fu. Qi Gong is a shaolin method. You wont learn how to use your spirit to strengthen your body like that doing a mix of Muy Tai and Braz Jujitsu because they don't focus on the spiritual aspects like Monks do. There is integrity in Muy Tai and trad Jujitsu you probably wont run into any spiritual people that practice it these days just a bunch of jocks who use it as an excuse to knock each other around at bars and gum flappers.
Sparring and unprovoked violence is not the way of kung fu. Since 500 AD the shaolin have been using it to defend the temple from invaders and bandits back when people just killed other people for the sake of looting or rage. Its the most tried and tested fighting style that has proved itself over the generations. However Kung Fu can still participate in open tournament, so you are wrong there, practitioners do spar. 500 AD was 1511 years ago.
only kung fu "sparring" i've seen has been pretty much just little less choreographic demonstrations. and that's sad when sparring is THE MOST IMPORTANT aspect of learning to fight. without it you don't know how an opponent reacts when he is fighting back.
spiritual aspect have nothing to do with fighting, you don't have any scientific proof of that. motivation, training methods and techniques are the ones mattering here.
@MasterWarri The danger with too much sparring is fighters getting comfortable. In sparring the other person won't hit you from behind unawares, or pull out a knife from under his jacket. It's important to remember that sparring is controlled and pre-emptive but the world is not.
indeed but even still sparring is 100 times more uncontrolled than any training methods i've seen in tma. the chances are extremely low for that kind of suddenness in the area where i live and places where i go. i'm more comfortable that i can trust my instincts and know that i can fight rather than being cautious like a ninja all the time. there's really no question about it. without sparring (or fighting) you don't know how to fight.
@MasterWarri There's really no reasoning with you, and I'd rather not drag this on any further. I'm just gonna end this by saying that MMA is not superior just because it provides more choices. What about Hybrid Martial Arts? That also provides a wider variety, but that doesn't mean it's superior. Think about it.
it's the practitioner who wins not the art but when it comes to technique vs technique sorry but mma is a sport not a defensive system that means no eye jabbing no striking in groin , in the neck no breaking bones.
sorry no comparison between mma for the ring and traditional kung fu for street and wars.
no, it's the practitioner and also the art. mma has evolved so greatly BECAUSE it's a sport. big moves beat small moves always. it's only a speculation that tma guy could do a shit with no rules when he/she can't do a shit with little rules. also lol at "breaking bones". care to elaborate that a bit more because now it sounds just a typical tma exaggeration?
@MasterWarri haven't u heard broken bones or ear cut or eye jabbed b4 from a fght in a street ???? may be u fight in the street with rules too LOL
please answer me honestly and don't be like other mma mindless freaks whom just believe themselves, what happens when 2 fighters in the ufc and 1 jabbed his finger in the other guy's eye or he holded his thumb and break it or gripped his balls violently ??? this fellow doing these (violations) will be kicked out of mma community 4ever. face it
i asked you to elaborate (to show if YOU actually have any idea what you're talking about) but you didn't. fair enough, let me explain. in order to break a bone you need a big move: a punch, kick or a submission hold. bones break in mma every now and then, small bones (fingers, toes, noses) often and big ones rarely. i'm not sure if anyone has quit fighting because of a small broken bone, at least i don't remember. If larger bone breaks then it's game over.
@MasterWarri to break bones u need your opponent stuned for at least 2 seconds to make the technique because it's very hard to apply the technique while the opponent attacking , to do this u need some kind of a fast efficient attack like front kick to the groins then hand knife to the back of the head, sure he is stunned then grab his thumb or leg or whatever and then explode it the opposite way.
if the opponent is stunned, what's the point of breaking anything anymore? :D
anyway, not quite getting how that is supposed to prove tma's effectiveness but i can tell you that an opponent doesn't have to be stunned in order to break a bone. type "josh barnett vs aleksander emelianenko" and "shinya aoki vs mizuto hirota" and watch yourself. there are loads of other examples as well but those two show very well the difference of a small bone(s) and a large bone breaking.
@MasterWarri u seem u didnt get me very well , fedor, a silva bj penn all r masters and i'v learnt from them a lot, but when u face a drugged heavy set muscular thug this is something else,the fight will become dirty so these ground fighting is not so efficient in the street ,so u need to stick to striking as all the K.Os in the rings is done,and remmember the best K.Os is the vital organs the core of the body all of the head,eyes,back of the head,neck,between lungs,groin.
oh my oh my, exactly opposite. you can see all the videos on youtube where bjj is used in the street. when there's only a one opponent, going on ground is the safest option. there i can easily take a much heavier guy out whereas in stand up i have always the risk of being ko'ed, especially if the guy is big and strong. go watch the early ufc's where everything was allowed and see which kind of fighters did well. exactly, grapplers.
@MasterWarri iv never heard a video of bjj in street but heard and seen many and gone myself in st fight where striking is the only option , and as i said most or even all K.Os that happens in the ring in all tournaments for every sport comes from striking. but bjj is used in the ring for submission and if u want to strike ur controlled opponent u must have full control over him and this will not work on dirty fight on the street or even if succeeded , it will not work on multiple opponents
could you please stop making things up and give some evidence for a change? there's one video for example of bjj used in a street: watch?v=08mSN2ol5ek
grappling is proved to be the safest option in 1 vs 1 situations because indeed a good grappler has full control of his opponent, big and muscular or not. it's just done too many times to be denied.
of course if there are more opponents an mma fighter will use his stand up skills especially boxing like this turkish boxer did watch?v=zWGwBHavbu0 . it's funny how people think mma=bjj because it's much more than that. oh, and why would anyone have to ko an opponent on the ground (which happens a lot though) when he can either choke him unconscious or break his limb?
if you're still gonna respond, please put some logic and evidence in there will ya!
just fyi,that guy is not a boxer,he is a security personnel at a bank.I know this because i am from turkey as well and this fight was in news for some time.
continuing... to answer your question: obviously you can't do what's allowed. now let me ask you: why you think tma guy can do these SMALL moves to mma fighter when they can't do even big moves to them?
@MasterWarri if u think this kind of fighting is imaginary or exaggerated and mma is the real deal in the street then good day,\ it seems that the rules of the ring is ruling your mind too, u need to be freed man
@MasterWarri u know why a lot of tma practitioners looks flashy and not effective because they r learning it for show and impressing people, but when practiced the ancient way, absolutely lethal
for instance let's take tiger fist u do pushups and pullaps with five fingers then 4,3,2,1 finger all the workout then start punching a sand bag then hiting hot sand then hitting trees, all of this is the conditiong let's go for the targeting and timing: a dummy with yellow(normal)
so your basically saying that tma guys are flat out lying to the audience. they are giving totally wrong image on purpose so that they would get more paying customers. nice but i like more of mma's honest approach.
sorry but a dummy (even if someone is moving it) is never ever as good as real living sparring opponent who is actually fighting back. if you don't do full contact sparring you don't know how to fight. as simple as that.
@MasterWarri orange(danger) red(lethal) spots, u start striking and gripping all these daily,when progressed ur sifu start moving the dummy like an actual combat and dozens of similar workouts can u imagine the effectivness, believe me man street is something else than ring.
@MasterWarri (Cont.) Also, I do agree that MMA provides more option that most other martial arts, but that doesn't mean that an MMA fighter can easily kick a Kung Fu master's ass every time. As I said before, what matters is how long they've practiced. A novice in MMA would not defeat a master of, say, Capoeira
obviously a pro tends to beat a novice but again i was talking about effectiveness. and that means that you have to look at 2 guys with similar bodies and similar time of training. in that case mma wins almost always. it doesn't really matter what i say about myself but believe it or not, i (like many other mma practioners) have started from tma's. it is just that after mma there's no going back.
@MasterWarri How is there 'no going back'? Do you realize how many martial arts there are in the world? MMA instructors don't even teach an eigth of the martial arts that exist. There's PLENTY of arts to choose from, most of which you and I have never even heard of, so it's really biased and unfair to assume that MMA practitioners would beat anyone.
yes, and i realize how many different car brands there are. i don't still need to drive them all when i can choose from the test winners. if a martial art is unheard of, then there's a larger chance that it sucks. due to competitive nature and openness mma has been able to evolve so radically in less than 20 years. if a system is closed and "complete", i'm not gonna waste my time in it.
@MasterWarri That really isn't the case. Take, for instance, Capoeira. I guarantee that if you ask a handful of people what it is, they'd never guess. But does that mean it sucks? No. You'd have to be open minded to understand that no martial art is essentially the best. A martial ARTIST could be better than others, depending on how hard they train.
capoeira is actually relatively well known. of course some see it only as a dance. but the thing is that capoeira isn't that effective. there's some hard kicks but the base is terrible. there's nothing preventing the usage of capoeira in mma but it isn't used for a very good reason. it takes way too much movement to do simple things which most likely even miss because the opponent sees them coming.
@MasterWarri If you know the history of how Capoeira was created, you'd see why they dance this way. And there's quite a few moves that make you unpredictable, it isn't just about au (cartwheels) and ginga :I
if you mean the legend that they masked it to look like dancing because fighting was forbidden in law, then yes i know. however, what do i need with that knowledge? now is now and then was then. it doesn't change the fact that mma is far more effective. as i said there no capoeira in mma matches for a very good reason. again, i'm not saying capoeira would be useless against your average joey.
@MasterWarri Now that I have read your first comment, I can tell that you are insulting the art, calling it "all theatre" and no fighting. And I am focusing on you because you have a less experienced view that, with good reasoning, can give you insight. I'm not saying I'm an expert on the subject, but it's pretty clear that this isn't theatre, otherwise it wouldnt be important in Fight Science
maybe i went too far with that theatre comment but what i meant that these demonstrations don't tell anything about real fighting skills. you can't tell a shit about someone's ability to fight by hitting bricks etc. i don't understand why they are even doing it if it isn't to make them look tougher and to sell their thing. to many people these demonstrations give a totally unreal image of fighting and then you start to hear all kinds of "killing with one finger etc." bs
@MasterWarri (Continuing from my last comment) It doesn't matter what style you practice, but rather how often you do it, how determined you are, how much discipline you have, etc.
@MasterWarri I haven't read all of your comments, but from what I can tell, you don't seem to know much about martial arts as a whole. For the past 3 months, I've practiced mainly MMA, and neither of my teachers, both of which could end my life in one punch, would dare insult a martial art for its appearance alone. I'm a quick learner myself, but I'm sure I'd have an extremely difficult time defeating someone of my body weight and power who practices another art, like Kung Fu. It doesn't matter
and it seems you don't know much about mma because you are exaggerating like a typical tma guy (no offence there) who is focusing on me and my comprehension rather than on the subject and real arguments. my teachers could knock me out/down with one punch but defiantly not kill. or lets just say that the percentage for that is very very small. i'm not insulting anything when i'm pointing out obvious facts like that mma has done most to prove it effectiveness.
(continuing..) style/art does matter. i know i would beat the shit out of other me who had been focusing on tma's the same period of time. i'm not saying tma's are useless. i'm just saying that there are more effective options and mma is the king of that hill.
Yet they do these shows all over the world for a big money. Shows where they are showing how tough they are by doing things that don't have anything to do with real fighting. IMO that's hypocrisy as its finest.
@MasterWarri actually, the performances come really cheap
they dont do it for money
they're doing it to spread their art
and UFC isnt the only "real fighting" out there, shaolin kung fu (along with many other styles) was built on the concept of defending the temple from invaders
and qi gong is practiced to both enhance martial arts performance and health. its a completely different philosophy so dont be ignorant and criticize something you cant understand
if they're wanting to spread their art as a life style or something then i don't have any problem. but the problem is that because of those shows people believe they are the best fighters even though those tricks have nothing to do with real fighting. in this day and age, believing something like that just feels absurd. sure they have defended temples ages ago but i highly doubt they were fighting like in their demonstrations and ma's have developed vastly since then.
@MasterWarri uggh i hate repeating myself but listen
kung fu is a lifestyle, think of it as the eastern equivalent of going for a morning jog (some styles are for health only)
just because you dont understand qi gong doesnt mean it doesnt work
when you say fighting, i can tell you're only thinking of MMA and sports oriented martial arts but kung fu and other traditional martial arts are a completely different concept and unless you train at a traditional school you wont understand it
only thing i have to understand is that these traditional martial arts ESPECIALLY shaolin have absolutely no proof that they would be even close as effective as mma. anyone can believe in whatever they want but one has to also acknowledge when it's only based on belief. i think i understand well enough to see behind theater. mma has done most to prove it's effectiveness so it should be viewed as the most effective way of fighting. and it being a sport only solidifies that.
@MasterWarri see, judging from what you said, you classify fighting as only body to body, in other words, sports oriented and self defense. Many styles of kung fu and other traditional martial arts were also used to fight wars. kung fu is just a general term for chinese martial arts and shaolin is a style, similarly to how karate is a "Style" of japanese martial arts. Kung fu was used to fight wars for thousands of years in china so i think its combat effective, but modernized to be more gentle

This guy is literally bulletproof, a typical bullet expels around 1500 psi. So they could repeat this test with someone shooting him in a predetermined part of his body and have him concentrate his qi on that area and the bullet would not harm him.
The simple fact is modern science cannot prove everything in this world and the ancient Chinese (as well as many other ancient cultures) have known about the existence of Qi energy and has incorporated it into medicine and martial arts. I believe in the 80's a French nuclear physicist proved the existence of Qi but nothing more has been demonstrated by the scientific community since then.
chemist, biologist should not be called scientist without understanding of simple physics. chi is still not proven and everything shown here is merely what many traditional circus have in china...
1. that batter is doing half the work by swinging fast enough and retract quick to reduce impact. where is the data of actual velocity of the bat? if they real scientists they would have found deceleration exists before impact
2. take years of practice to gain enough tissue to withstand spear, not chi
@chongxiong look, just keep on scratching and pressuring your neck but not really damaging it for 5 yrs and u will see it become harder. another example, if u use pen/pencil to write alot since young, you develop alot stronger tissue near your middle finger, possibly index finger. or find someone that has. those extra tissues are strong.
@DDzeal So you mean, he's been conditioning his skin to withstand the pressure of a sharp blade. I have to disagree, the extra tissue are just duplicates of the previous tissue.
@chongxiong if there was no big loss of tissue while gaining more, then it stacks up. and yes, i am saying he is conditioning parts of body to withstand pressure. every so-called qi master can only perform very limited tasks because each task takes years to perfect. even if you disagree, 0 is still 0. qi is one of the BS in chinese culture, similar to western psychics, horoscopes, etc. but it doesnt take credit away from chinese martial arts
in UFC you cant gouge the eyes and no nut shot I think thats about it...
i would love to see these monks in action and break the bones of some hih profile UFC fighters.. ither that or watch them get destroyed. either way it would be interesting. if this qi qong stuff is real then size wouldnt matter, they still be able to take on 300 pound fighter.
@bilibalala qi gong is real. I do it and a qi gong guy took energy away from my arm so when he pushed down i couldnt use any force against his hand. When he put the force back on it as stronger than it was before he took it off.
@dablackmankhamani im actually half serious. be curious to see how they do. they will either destroy competition or get destroyed. either way it would be entertaining.. no?
@bilibalala yes, glad I asked instead of assuming you were trolling
sadly
thing is they don't allow so much in the UFC that it would make it difficult, like telling someone who been training in muay boran(art of 9 limbs) since 8years old to come into a boxing ring and only use hands
too conditioned to using everything or a jujitsu artist and telling him no grabbing
rendering these people of many techniques most useful
Guys, even if the spear was blunt, it was enough to go through a watermelon. It was enough to kill people (Which is what it was used for when first created). Not to mention at THAT amount of pressure, even a spoon, bat, pole, even a finger could break through or crush your throat. How he took that to his throat is proof of SOMETHING being in qi gong. We cannot say what, but there is something. Science is ever changing and on going, we will learn eventually.
talking about mma and ufc training, huh.. Their training is nothing at all compare to this monk real hard training chi kung fu to the body. Kung fu and other styles are banned out of ufc and mma because they trained deadly martial art which it can painfully injury their oppoment or kill them. while mma or ufc train you to punch, a few kick and grappling only. The fact why kung fu is banned out ufc or mma. It's because the style is self defense but also, can kill someone too.
sorry- qi aint outside the realm of science. Science, conventional western science just hasn't been able to properly analyze the applications of qi.
Just like Electricity was never "outside" the realm of science- The conventional western science just never was able to properly analyze the application of electricity for many centuries
just because it appears ridiculous does not mean that it IS ridiculous. just because qi is not proven does not mean that it is not real. grow up u "scientists" and get a real PHD or doctorate.
Should have an anonymous guy hit him. There will be no doubt if hitting hard, added that sensor to it and that prove a real strike. As the strike can be slowed down at the last part.
@PrismaCry If you slow a force like that down, it would mean that the bat/wooden stick wouldn't have broke. At least it would have been unlikely to have broken. You have to swing with full force all the way through, otherwise the pressure isn't great enough to do nowhere near as much damage! He must have hit the guy with a decent amount of force for that to break.
a scientist could never understand a thing like qi gong. It does not matter what other people believe should happen, it only matters what you believe is possible and where that belief takes you. Faith can be the most powerfull force at times but love still trumps them all.
@AFKslashSLITTING a flathead screwdriver u serious plz stfu if u throw a flathead screwdriver like javelin muthafucka u aint piercin shit u damn whack ass bob da builder i use plastic tools to build my house retarded ass little boi

@crazychiefwolf Bruce Lee died from a cerebral edema due to the medication he took for a sever headache. There was also evidence of a rare strand of cannibus in his stomach as well, and since his body did not contain the fat cells required to store it, it may have caused biochemical damage as well. He passed away shortly after slipping into a coma in his bed peacefully, no evidence whatsoever of murder.

oooooor perhaps the spear thing is a trick and taking that hit was not that impressive at all. The guy with the bat even reduced the force when he was actually hitting the monk and the monk took some force out of it by stepping forward. To be honest I couldn't do that spear trick but taking that kind of hit is quite a basic thing in any combat sport.
MasterWarri 1 month ago
@MasterWarri yes that is a possibility. but when he took 2300 or 2500 pounds of force to his neck as measured by the computer that is very hard to explain,
summa2201 1 month ago
@summa2201
you mean a throat? again, i believe it's a trick as also explained in these comments (page 2 or 3). why not take the same force as a strike? because he can't. the guy would've hit much harder with the bat if the monk really could. and it's annoying as hell how the guy with the bat is overacting. how he punches his bat back is obviously overreaction.

@MasterWarri hey im not disagreeing with you i think they need more scientific tests!

this makes me wonder if chi/energy is like the communication going through our body and our body is like the structure, the neurotransmitters for example are chemicals but they transmit electrically chargged ions that travel thrpugh out the body, perhaps there may be a connection of chi and electricity since their may be some unknown discoverys in physics connecting the two, like how electricty and magnetism is connected.

@MasterWarri
500 AD was 1511 years ago.
liftthecurse 3 months ago
@liftthecurse
only kung fu "sparring" i've seen has been pretty much just little less choreographic demonstrations. and that's sad when sparring is THE MOST IMPORTANT aspect of learning to fight. without it you don't know how an opponent reacts when he is fighting back.
spiritual aspect have nothing to do with fighting, you don't have any scientific proof of that. motivation, training methods and techniques are the ones mattering here.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri The danger with too much sparring is fighters getting comfortable. In sparring the other person won't hit you from behind unawares, or pull out a knife from under his jacket. It's important to remember that sparring is controlled and pre-emptive but the world is not.
notdrockok 3 months ago
@notdrockok
indeed but even still sparring is 100 times more uncontrolled than any training methods i've seen in tma. the chances are extremely low for that kind of suddenness in the area where i live and places where i go. i'm more comfortable that i can trust my instincts and know that i can fight rather than being cautious like a ninja all the time. there's really no question about it. without sparring (or fighting) you don't know how to fight.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@liftthecurse
only history lessons that matter are:
1. if they fought, they fought with weapons and there's actually no proof that hey would have fought the same way as in their demonstrations.
2. kung fu was made in small area whereas mma was made (and is still being made) world wide.
3. back in the day didn't have the same information and research methods that we have now.
4. kung fu is one of the least tested arts in the era where we can record evidence.

it's the practitioner who wins not the art but when it comes to technique vs technique sorry but mma is a sport not a defensive system that means no eye jabbing no striking in groin , in the neck no breaking bones.
sorry no comparison between mma for the ring and traditional kung fu for street and wars.
Azmorai 3 months ago
@Azmorai
no, it's the practitioner and also the art. mma has evolved so greatly BECAUSE it's a sport. big moves beat small moves always. it's only a speculation that tma guy could do a shit with no rules when he/she can't do a shit with little rules. also lol at "breaking bones". care to elaborate that a bit more because now it sounds just a typical tma exaggeration?
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri haven't u heard broken bones or ear cut or eye jabbed b4 from a fght in a street ???? may be u fight in the street with rules too LOL
please answer me honestly and don't be like other mma mindless freaks whom just believe themselves, what happens when 2 fighters in the ufc and 1 jabbed his finger in the other guy's eye or he holded his thumb and break it or gripped his balls violently ??? this fellow doing these (violations) will be kicked out of mma community 4ever. face it
Azmorai 3 months ago
@Azmorai
i asked you to elaborate (to show if YOU actually have any idea what you're talking about) but you didn't. fair enough, let me explain. in order to break a bone you need a big move: a punch, kick or a submission hold. bones break in mma every now and then, small bones (fingers, toes, noses) often and big ones rarely. i'm not sure if anyone has quit fighting because of a small broken bone, at least i don't remember. If larger bone breaks then it's game over.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri to break bones u need your opponent stuned for at least 2 seconds to make the technique because it's very hard to apply the technique while the opponent attacking , to do this u need some kind of a fast efficient attack like front kick to the groins then hand knife to the back of the head, sure he is stunned then grab his thumb or leg or whatever and then explode it the opposite way.
Azmorai 3 months ago
@Azmorai
if the opponent is stunned, what's the point of breaking anything anymore? :D
anyway, not quite getting how that is supposed to prove tma's effectiveness but i can tell you that an opponent doesn't have to be stunned in order to break a bone. type "josh barnett vs aleksander emelianenko" and "shinya aoki vs mizuto hirota" and watch yourself. there are loads of other examples as well but those two show very well the difference of a small bone(s) and a large bone breaking.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri u seem u didnt get me very well , fedor, a silva bj penn all r masters and i'v learnt from them a lot, but when u face a drugged heavy set muscular thug this is something else,the fight will become dirty so these ground fighting is not so efficient in the street ,so u need to stick to striking as all the K.Os in the rings is done,and remmember the best K.Os is the vital organs the core of the body all of the head,eyes,back of the head,neck,between lungs,groin.
that's tma is about
Azmorai 3 months ago
@Azmorai
oh my oh my, exactly opposite. you can see all the videos on youtube where bjj is used in the street. when there's only a one opponent, going on ground is the safest option. there i can easily take a much heavier guy out whereas in stand up i have always the risk of being ko'ed, especially if the guy is big and strong. go watch the early ufc's where everything was allowed and see which kind of fighters did well. exactly, grapplers.
MasterWarri 3 months ago in playlist Qi Gong
@MasterWarri iv never heard a video of bjj in street but heard and seen many and gone myself in st fight where striking is the only option , and as i said most or even all K.Os that happens in the ring in all tournaments for every sport comes from striking. but bjj is used in the ring for submission and if u want to strike ur controlled opponent u must have full control over him and this will not work on dirty fight on the street or even if succeeded , it will not work on multiple opponents
Azmorai 3 months ago
@Azmorai
could you please stop making things up and give some evidence for a change? there's one video for example of bjj used in a street: watch?v=08mSN2ol5ek
grappling is proved to be the safest option in 1 vs 1 situations because indeed a good grappler has full control of his opponent, big and muscular or not. it's just done too many times to be denied.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
continuing...
of course if there are more opponents an mma fighter will use his stand up skills especially boxing like this turkish boxer did watch?v=zWGwBHavbu0 . it's funny how people think mma=bjj because it's much more than that. oh, and why would anyone have to ko an opponent on the ground (which happens a lot though) when he can either choke him unconscious or break his limb?
if you're still gonna respond, please put some logic and evidence in there will ya!

Azmorai 3 months ago
@MasterWarri u know why a lot of tma practitioners looks flashy and not effective because they r learning it for show and impressing people, but when practiced the ancient way, absolutely lethal
for instance let's take tiger fist u do pushups and pullaps with five fingers then 4,3,2,1 finger all the workout then start punching a sand bag then hiting hot sand then hitting trees, all of this is the conditiong let's go for the targeting and timing: a dummy with yellow(normal)
Azmorai 3 months ago
@Azmorai
so your basically saying that tma guys are flat out lying to the audience. they are giving totally wrong image on purpose so that they would get more paying customers. nice but i like more of mma's honest approach.
sorry but a dummy (even if someone is moving it) is never ever as good as real living sparring opponent who is actually fighting back. if you don't do full contact sparring you don't know how to fight. as simple as that.

RyanLuckyNinko 4 months ago
@RyanLuckyNinko
obviously a pro tends to beat a novice but again i was talking about effectiveness. and that means that you have to look at 2 guys with similar bodies and similar time of training. in that case mma wins almost always. it doesn't really matter what i say about myself but believe it or not, i (like many other mma practioners) have started from tma's. it is just that after mma there's no going back.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri How is there 'no going back'? Do you realize how many martial arts there are in the world? MMA instructors don't even teach an eigth of the martial arts that exist. There's PLENTY of arts to choose from, most of which you and I have never even heard of, so it's really biased and unfair to assume that MMA practitioners would beat anyone.
RyanLuckyNinko 3 months ago
@RyanLuckyNinko
yes, and i realize how many different car brands there are. i don't still need to drive them all when i can choose from the test winners. if a martial art is unheard of, then there's a larger chance that it sucks. due to competitive nature and openness mma has been able to evolve so radically in less than 20 years. if a system is closed and "complete", i'm not gonna waste my time in it.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri That really isn't the case. Take, for instance, Capoeira. I guarantee that if you ask a handful of people what it is, they'd never guess. But does that mean it sucks? No. You'd have to be open minded to understand that no martial art is essentially the best. A martial ARTIST could be better than others, depending on how hard they train.
RyanLuckyNinko 3 months ago
@RyanLuckyNinko
capoeira is actually relatively well known. of course some see it only as a dance. but the thing is that capoeira isn't that effective. there's some hard kicks but the base is terrible. there's nothing preventing the usage of capoeira in mma but it isn't used for a very good reason. it takes way too much movement to do simple things which most likely even miss because the opponent sees them coming.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri If you know the history of how Capoeira was created, you'd see why they dance this way. And there's quite a few moves that make you unpredictable, it isn't just about au (cartwheels) and ginga :I
RyanLuckyNinko 3 months ago
@RyanLuckyNinko
if you mean the legend that they masked it to look like dancing because fighting was forbidden in law, then yes i know. however, what do i need with that knowledge? now is now and then was then. it doesn't change the fact that mma is far more effective. as i said there no capoeira in mma matches for a very good reason. again, i'm not saying capoeira would be useless against your average joey.
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri Now that I have read your first comment, I can tell that you are insulting the art, calling it "all theatre" and no fighting. And I am focusing on you because you have a less experienced view that, with good reasoning, can give you insight. I'm not saying I'm an expert on the subject, but it's pretty clear that this isn't theatre, otherwise it wouldnt be important in Fight Science
RyanLuckyNinko 4 months ago
@RyanLuckyNinko
maybe i went too far with that theatre comment but what i meant that these demonstrations don't tell anything about real fighting skills. you can't tell a shit about someone's ability to fight by hitting bricks etc. i don't understand why they are even doing it if it isn't to make them look tougher and to sell their thing. to many people these demonstrations give a totally unreal image of fighting and then you start to hear all kinds of "killing with one finger etc." bs
MasterWarri 3 months ago
@MasterWarri (Continuing from my last comment) It doesn't matter what style you practice, but rather how often you do it, how determined you are, how much discipline you have, etc.
RyanLuckyNinko 4 months ago
@MasterWarri I haven't read all of your comments, but from what I can tell, you don't seem to know much about martial arts as a whole. For the past 3 months, I've practiced mainly MMA, and neither of my teachers, both of which could end my life in one punch, would dare insult a martial art for its appearance alone. I'm a quick learner myself, but I'm sure I'd have an extremely difficult time defeating someone of my body weight and power who practices another art, like Kung Fu. It doesn't matter
RyanLuckyNinko 4 months ago
@RyanLuckyNinko
and it seems you don't know much about mma because you are exaggerating like a typical tma guy (no offence there) who is focusing on me and my comprehension rather than on the subject and real arguments. my teachers could knock me out/down with one punch but defiantly not kill. or lets just say that the percentage for that is very very small. i'm not insulting anything when i'm pointing out obvious facts like that mma has done most to prove it effectiveness.
MasterWarri 4 months ago
@RyanLuckyNinko
(continuing..) style/art does matter. i know i would beat the shit out of other me who had been focusing on tma's the same period of time. i'm not saying tma's are useless. i'm just saying that there are more effective options and mma is the king of that hill.

MasterWarri 4 months ago
@MasterWarri actually, the performances come really cheap
they dont do it for money
they're doing it to spread their art
and UFC isnt the only "real fighting" out there, shaolin kung fu (along with many other styles) was built on the concept of defending the temple from invaders
and qi gong is practiced to both enhance martial arts performance and health. its a completely different philosophy so dont be ignorant and criticize something you cant understand
dynastyflygon 4 months ago
@dynastyflygon
if they're wanting to spread their art as a life style or something then i don't have any problem. but the problem is that because of those shows people believe they are the best fighters even though those tricks have nothing to do with real fighting. in this day and age, believing something like that just feels absurd. sure they have defended temples ages ago but i highly doubt they were fighting like in their demonstrations and ma's have developed vastly since then.

kung fu is a lifestyle, think of it as the eastern equivalent of going for a morning jog (some styles are for health only)
just because you dont understand qi gong doesnt mean it doesnt work
when you say fighting, i can tell you're only thinking of MMA and sports oriented martial arts but kung fu and other traditional martial arts are a completely different concept and unless you train at a traditional school you wont understand it
dynastyflygon 4 months ago
@dynastyflygon
only thing i have to understand is that these traditional martial arts ESPECIALLY shaolin have absolutely no proof that they would be even close as effective as mma. anyone can believe in whatever they want but one has to also acknowledge when it's only based on belief. i think i understand well enough to see behind theater. mma has done most to prove it's effectiveness so it should be viewed as the most effective way of fighting. and it being a sport only solidifies that.
MasterWarri 4 months ago

DDzeal 4 months ago
@DDzeal Its impossible to gain extra skin, unless you get fat, and then lose enough weight to get that flab.
chongxiong 4 months ago
@chongxiong tissue... also recovering from scratches develops "skin" that adds up if you keep on repeating it
DDzeal 4 months ago
@DDzeal That doesn't make any sense. The skin that grows does not duplicate another layer but a layer that fills the missing skin.
chongxiong 4 months ago
@chongxiong look, just keep on scratching and pressuring your neck but not really damaging it for 5 yrs and u will see it become harder. another example, if u use pen/pencil to write alot since young, you develop alot stronger tissue near your middle finger, possibly index finger. or find someone that has. those extra tissues are strong.
DDzeal 4 months ago
@DDzeal So you mean, he's been conditioning his skin to withstand the pressure of a sharp blade. I have to disagree, the extra tissue are just duplicates of the previous tissue.
chongxiong 4 months ago

@bilibalala can't kick a down opponent in the face or behind the head also.
HCNguyen86 4 months ago
@bilibalala qi gong is real. I do it and a qi gong guy took energy away from my arm so when he pushed down i couldnt use any force against his hand. When he put the force back on it as stronger than it was before he took it off.

... I see people who don't do MMA at all confuse it to mean UFC and vice versa
and don't understand differences of the 2
while looking down on traditional MMA/MA
if all you do is watch TV
it's best not to comment on such matters

@dablackmankhamani im actually half serious. be curious to see how they do. they will either destroy competition or get destroyed. either way it would be entertaining.. no?
bilibalala 4 months ago

Should have an anonymous guy hit him. There will be no doubt if hitting hard, added that sensor to it and that prove a real strike. As the strike can be slowed down at the last part.
PrismaCry 6 months ago
@PrismaCry If you slow a force like that down, it would mean that the bat/wooden stick wouldn't have broke. At least it would have been unlikely to have broken. You have to swing with full force all the way through, otherwise the pressure isn't great enough to do nowhere near as much damage! He must have hit the guy with a decent amount of force for that to break.

@PrismaCry Speed cameras can tell that. They used one, fyi.

a scientist could never understand a thing like qi gong. It does not matter what other people believe should happen, it only matters what you believe is possible and where that belief takes you. Faith can be the most powerfull force at times but love still trumps them all.
