  • @Ziva4Freedom They are contender....I use these because they are a heirloom, so if you want to save seed at the end of the year you can, just let them dry on the stalk and then pick them...You are welcome..

  • I love your videos and your attitude. my mom made me work in the garden i hated it. im 51 now and can't wait till i start canning again. keep up good work

  • @contreeman Thank you! I never worked much in a garden growing, I actually never didi much of anything, my grandma did everything for us....It is ashame.....I have learned so much since I have been married...

  • Beautiful green beans!

  • @prettycountrygal Thank you!!!

  • As usall another fantastic video. I love your channel Thank you.

  • @mrtiedied Awww thank you!!! And you are absoultly welcome..../:-)

  • That canning was really neat to watch... and the bean patch looked like a hidden paridise garden...( Even though i bet your girls would disagree:-)

  • @JRSKICK1 Thank you. One of them actually said she would like to be a green bean gardener...Yes her garden is wonderful.../:-)

  • You are truly a kind, giving person because people are always doing nice things for you. It must be because you are such a blessing to others that God has chosen to bless you with such abundance: good friends and a healthy, happy family. Thanks for another great vid.

  • @chiliprepper Thank you so much!!!

  • Thanks for sharing, that was great!!! Thank you very much!!! City Boy Question: How do they feed the 4 inch pipe to get the water to travel so far? a pump?

    You are truly blessed!

    God Bless yall

  • @StatenIslandPrepper Yes he uses a pump.

    Thankyou

    God Bless yall also..

  • Thanks for the videos. Are you using a gas barbeque for a heat source for the canner? I have a glass top range and it can handle the weight of an American canner. So I'm curious to try to find an alternative method. Outside cooking seems to be a great way to do it.

  • @apaulanarius You are welcome...Yes it is a gas bbq grill. I have used one quite a bit in life. When I didn't have a wood cook stove outsideo on the porch. If you don't think it will handle the weight then find a board or something like that to help with the weight, prop it under the edge to support it..Thank you

  • Wow! That would be more then enough for me but I'm sure for a family it wouldnt take long to use them up. I have to plant more beans since the 2 rows I planted before didnt produce many plants. I love watching your videos!!!

  • @beccawitch Thank you. Yes they have a big family and they sell produce for a living. The grow big......Thank you again/:-)

  • thats a lot of beans

  • Wow that is a lot of beans, would this last a year for your family? Nice job, my beans have not started yet.

  • @GaryMule No, we are trying to get 104 quarts so that would be 2 qt. a week and that is still not enough. Thank you!!!

  • @GaryMule You weren't kidding about loving those Jade beans were you!

  • @GaryMule No I wasn't they are great..

  • Misty~do you think it may have been too hot for my beans down here at this time? It is 94 today & very cloudy & almost 3:30pm. Last nite at midnite it was 80. They are Bush Blue Lake & they started off really nice & I picked about 8 beans~don't LOL~then my plants starting going downhill, leaves turning slowly brownish & dry looking & not really producing. I think I may try again in the fall?

  • @redberrychick43 It may be too hot for them. You might get a better crop this fall when it cools down some. I think we might plant some this fall...If so I'';ll let you know when I am going to plant..((Hugs)0

  • @mmlrc6atgmailcom I think I will pull them up in a few days when I am totally better. And yes I will replant in the fall. Thanks so much for your opinion. Hugs

  • THANK YOU so much for doing this video for us. I know with all of the work you had going on~it was added work to vid also. Big Hugs for that.

What an Awesome gift that your neighbor shared with you. I wish I could have gone help ya'll pick & can~I would have enjoyed that so much. I would love to live by neighbors of like minded people. What a great feeling after all the hard work is done. In July I start with my figs picking & canning. In Aug Pears~I love it! It is a good kind of sweat! Hugs

  • @redberrychick43 I made sure I visdeo it just for you....It owuld have been wonderful to have been able t oworked together...

  • @minbound Thank you very much!! God Bless~

  • love it....jiggle, jiggle!!! LOL

  • @bmeyer44 LOL.That is what it does...

  • I am plum wore out just watching this video! lol such hard workers....I think I may try Jade next time around.

  • @TheCajuntransplant LOL SO was I ..... I really like the Jade..

  • I have so enjoyed your videos! We do things so much the same, even down to the jade beans, they're the best, to me, too. They don't get so fat and tough so quick, if you miss a picking, it's ok, they just get longer, not tough, and they are straighter, so i can cut a handful with a knife, instead of snapping them. God bless you, Misty, have a great canning season! :)

  • @homesteaders6 Thank you so much!!! I am glad to know someone else that grows them also./;-) I like to cut them with a knife also...YOu can do more at a time that way. It takes me too long to snap and my fingers get sore.We do, do so many things alike.../;-)

  • LOVE canned green beans. Thanks for the Jade variety suggestion.

  • @LadyGardenHoe So do we... You are welcome, they are just so much greener than other varietys I have grown.

  • wow Misty you are one busy mama....lol im exhausted after watching your video... where do you get your energy from.... I love that youre always so happy :)

  • @5lilc Thank you!! I was exhausted also. It was humid and hot picking them. I kept one of Timbers shirts wet around my neck the whole time. I just keep going I don;t have much a choice, because when it is done its to late. ANd the beans are 1/2 done..../:-)

  • Great, Misty! I need to learn how to can..hoping my little garden produces enough to..man you are a hard working woman! You make me feel lazy, lol.

  • @kokonutbaby1 Thank you . Yes you do need to learn how to can. I pray your little garden has a wonderful harvest/:-) Oh I couldn't do it w/o the girls. DOn't feel lazy/:-0 Thanks!!!

  • @Ziva4Freedom Thank you!!! Wow I ahve not ever ate much asparagus. I am sure home grown is good though. It is always good to learn something new....

  • @dgerps Thank you!!!..

  • Thanks for sharing Y'all

  • @pughmecdoc You are so welcome..

  • Wow. Thank you for the great video. The canning info is super. I have downloaded this video to keep the info. Thanks

  • @scarmenl Thank you!!! That is so sweet of you!!! Ihope it helps...

  • if all women where like missty the divorce rate would be almost zero.

  • @ImNotGoingtobePC LOL Thank you!!!

  • I've heard you mention the salt you use several times. Where can I find some? Love your videos!

  • @gem1080 Yes I use real Salt it helps you from swelling and if you have high blood pressure it don't bother it. We both have it and it is the only kind of salt we use, sea salt don't work. I sell it on my web-site on my channel page is the link, it is kinda expensive though. If you order it with something heavy like soap or something then it don't cost as much to mail. Thank you!!!

  • i love green beans, just eating em raw. good stuff

thats crazy all that stuff is already in season this early in the year. i usually have to wait another month or so before i can get any green beans.

  • @paradoxdesigns Yes they are sooo good. If they would get to you w/o being all wilted down I would send you some. But I am afraid they would never make it.....I have so many more to can yet..I have only just begun, by the time you are getting some I will prob. be done..lol.

  • You are something else ... I dont know I could do half what you do all that cannin would have taken me days

  • @SasyBecause LOL I had help 3 daughters and a little boy running around...Thank you!!!

  • mountain man is 1 lucky man

  • @mmdghr I agree

  • @SasyBecause Thank you!!!

  • @mmdghr LOL Thank you..he thinks so him self....

  • misstyshooter 227 is 1 hard working awesome wife

  • @mmdghr LOL Thank you!!! MistyShooter223......Misty

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing. I'm a newbie, so all of this is very good information.

  • @chicagocindybuddie Thank you so much!!! And welcome!!!

  • That is awesome, I want to learn to can!

  • @dxporker Thank you I can't believe you living in WV and not knowing how to can. That is where I learned to can, the 1st thing I canned was deer meat....If you are going to buy an "All American Canner" they are more expencive, but so worth it. It will last you a life time. And no rubber gaskit to take care of....If you ever do can you will always can,,,

  • I have never known anyone who raw packed green beans but I'm gonna try it this year! I don't know why I haven't before...I'm all for having one less step... We had to set our garden out late this year, so I've still got a while. I'm looking forward to it and dreading it. LOL I'm sure you know what I mean...

  • @blairseybell I have never done it any other way. Around here most of the ladies don't have time to blanch them first. I am going to check with BexarPrepper why she blanches hers 1st. I just have always done it this way. Take care and God Bless..And boy do I know what you mean..

  • @mmlrc6atgmailcom My mother in law said it's so you can get more beans into the jars, since the blanched beans are more soft and pliable, you can really pack them in. I'm going to try raw packed anyway and see how I like it. I usually have leftover beans when I open a quart anyway, so a few less won't hurt. Now, in a few years when my boys are bigger.....LOL

  • beautiful harvest Misty!

  • @ownhomedog Thank you!!!

  • Nice job! I grow royalty purple bush beans. They are purple when you pick them but turn green when you cook them. The purple helps when picking since you can see them real well, plus the bugs don't like them as much and they can be started a little earlier. Green beans are our favorite here! I pickle some too.

  • @Herbalpagan Thank you so much, I would like to try some of those, that sounds like they work well. I twould helo the girls not to miss so many, I have to go over the plants once they are done and get what they missed...

  • as always, bgreat info Misty, thank you so much for sharing

  • @LowBuckPrepper Thank you sooooo much!!! You are always welcome/:-)

  • Excellent video! What a great garden they have there.

  • @CopingWithTheTimes Thank you and that was only a small part of it...

  • Misty are you using your outdoor grill? Does that work well? What a great idea so as not to heat up the kitchen! Beautiful batch of beans you put up :)

  • @1dutchgrl Yes I am useing my gas grill on the porch. It does work well, my aunt uses on of those fish/turkey fryers that you see ppl use when they fry whole turkeys. I want one of those to can with. It your grill eye is not strong enough then you may have to put a board under it to help. I always cook outside in the summer to keep the heat out of the house. Thank you!!!

  • I did that just yesterday! Got tired after 40 feet, lol. Good eating for sure :)

  • @MyHollowpoint Hahaha....I was completly wore out when I was done canning...Good eating we had a big batch for supper.../:-)

  • Where did you get the Jade? I would love to trade you some seed to try some of the Jade!

  • @cfenster It is what my friend grows and has been for several years now. I will check about getting some, I would like to grow some next year. If I get ahold of some I will send you some no problem...

  • Dang that made so hungry, lookin forward to my beans when there ready.

  • @RICHROOFER1 LOL We seem to have them coming out the ear right now...

  • I love green beans, and I LOVE my New All American canner... so much easier than baby sitting one that doesnt have a release weight... thanks Misty... Hoping my beans are half as good as those you showed us...

  • @SoCalPreppers Yes so do we... You can't beat an All Americian Canner, they are the best..They are the easiest canner to use. I am sure you beans will be great...Thank you!!!

  • @mmlrc6atgmailcom they should be, because Im gonna copy you.. thanks for the education! take care!!!

  • I love eating green beans.

    Greetings from Holland.

  • @Gunsfromholland Yes they are good...Thank you!!!

  • I like how that garden is tucked back in.The watering setup is real good.Thx.for sharing

  • @toppfuel It is very cozy...Yes they have lots of water...Your welcome...

  • Holy cow...2 acres...I'd run as fast as possible..AWAY from the bean patch ! My beans are full of blooms, so still at least a couple weeks away from picking. Gonna be a heap of canning going on. We use the grill outside too, keeps the heat out of the house . Good job !

  • @mhpgardener You mean Holy Cow!!! I don't think you would run you would be sooo happy to get such a wonderful harvest./;-) You are going to be picking a bunch yourself soon...I got 35 qt. and gave about 14 qt. worth away to the neighbor, whose garden is almost to late here in the south. To hot and dry. Thank you God Bles!!1

  • @BexarPrepper Yes it is nice to have such good friends! She has always let me come and glen off her garden she has such a big one. I am still eating corn I canned off of it 4 years ago, It was a good summer that year! She is very speicial, She has 8 children and I lived acroos the road from her when she had the 2 last ones, and we have been through death together, the good times and the tough times. I guess things like that bring ppl either closer together or father apart. Blessings!!!
