@AkLG5 Lighter buddy check the specs on the vehicles. The evo ways anywhere from 3200 to 3400 lbs. That's not light at all in fact its right around the same wieght as the cobra. Now take the two and run it from a roll and the cobra should have the edge because of drive train loss. But there's still traction that comes into play. AWD FTW!!!

both machines are right around 500 hp awd with dominate a launch because of traction, but awd has approx 25 percent power loss between motor and wheels. The cobra being only two wheel drive has a harder time launching, but once rolling and can maintain traction 2-wheel drive will dominate because there is only about a 13 percent power loss, so basically your wrong

18HP difference isn't enough to beat an Evo from a dig. Cobra has more of a chance from a roll. Torque numbers mean more at this point. That being said, The Evo also has the weight advantage. Anyways good race.

My car is built for circuit racing, time attack etc not set up for drags but can still pop a low et without changing a thing. Thats what I hated about owning a V8 or any rear wheel drive car u can have all the power in the world but U'll still get hurt by a Evo or Gtr in street trim. U simply cant put the power down in street trim! My Evo gets tuned next week on E85 700awhp no problems

You can see the light was red to the left. I could not turn my head backwards to see the green arrow turning red the other way. So I revved until the light in front was green. My set up is new now and I raced some 300 times now. I rarely lose, even to bikes. This is a crappy race and Im not proud of it, but here it sits.

Especially when you take it to the track, a 9 second RWD car will pull off a better 60 foot than a 9 second AWD car, and it will do that 90% of the time because you have to get that launch perfect with an AWD car.
once an import is out front you can pretty much hang it up. There short game sucks, but once the pull begins it just doesnt quit. Gotta love big turbos :)

@Brutisxxl not to worried about it any more, the Trans Am has been torn apart is in the process of of being built to run in the ORSCA Outlaw drag radial class next year. Don't see 450 awhp posing much threat to a 434 with a F3R Procharger supercharger (@45psi of boost), and a two speed Coan powerglide. So have fun pick on those Rustangs and what ever else you race against. Peace out.

@honestmarine1 I was never worried, lol my car is already built I only need 450awhp to chop u around a circuit. My car is built for circuit racing, time attack etc not set up for drags but can still pop a low et without changing a thing. Thats what I hated about owning a V8 or any rear wheel drive car u can have all the power in the world but U'll still get hurt by a Evo or Gtr in street trim. U simply cant put the power down in street trim! My Evo gets tuned next week on E85 700awhp no problems

@mikescharger6983 This is an old ass video. And I was very young. There was a lot of people and a lot of shit was talked. I was not going to lose this race no matter what. You can see the light was red to the left. I could not turn my head backwards to see the green arrow turning red the other way. So I revved until the light in front was green. My set up is new now and I raced some 300 times now. I rarely lose, even to bikes. This is a crappy race and Im not proud of it, but here it sits.

@dethpig420 LOL maybe on the street, but even then there is a lot fine RWD examples out there that would burn any AWD car from a dig. Especially when you take it to the track, a 9 second RWD car will pull off a better 60 foot than a 9 second AWD car, and it will do that 90% of the time because you have to get that launch perfect with an AWD car.
