  • wait how much do the dummies weigh?

  • wow 175 with gear our Randy weighs 200 no gear at all

  • "Rescue Randy is straight up evil!"

  • I'm seriously thinking of taking firefighters (as a academy, next school year in 11th grade) :) i do known it might be hard but I'm sure i WILL get use to it. ("practice makes PREFECT" :) ) anyway i have plenty of time to start ahead like, workout; to get in a good physical condition and get stronger and need to lose my belly fat :( (its a small belly fat) and do some research about firefighter over the internet. :) I been thinking of doing firefighters SINCE 1st grade!!!!!I :)

  • thats fitness for you!!

  • Did this for the first time last October, and will be doing it again in October 10, 2010, cannot wait....best thing you can do as a Firefighter, it will challenge you and make you look at yourself in a whole different way.

  • @stvoyager wow

  • WORLDS FASTEST FIREMAN GRAHAM MACKENZIE SETS NEW WORLD RECORD TIME OF 1:16.07 AT SCOTT FIREFIT CHAMPIONSHIPS IN COQUITLAM BC CANADA ALL RIGHTS RESERVED MAY 15 2010 ... (more info)

  • u suck alvinfry im sure that ur could not drag the hose so... shut up

  • Some of you should be ashamed to yourself. Go to your local fire dept and tell them what you just told us, about how they are worthless, and get paid to sit around and play games. Very rarely do you find a firefighter who makes 75k a year, we get crap pay Usually. And those that do get great pay? Good for them. You go work a job where there is a high chance you dont come home. As a firefighter, I'd love to see you do what I do. By the way, I'm volunteer. So why dont you think before you speak.

  • Hey Alvin.... so I'm not the only one who sees through this baloney of how 'brave we are'.

Be fit (for fuck all except pointing hose) and be a 'tough guy' to boot.

You got it right my friend.

  • Niether of you retards know what youre talking about, the reason fire departments dont run only off volunteers is because who whould staff the station for the smaller calls that go out 50 times a day. you dont know how shit works so keep your goddamn mouths shut you jealous bastards

  • @battles916 Yeah those "smaller calls" include rolling a fire engine when a kid falls off his skate board, that's how you economic drains on society justify your jobs. Fucking pathetic.

  • @alvinfry departments arent paid by the call they are paid by the hour so that statement doesnt apply. when a person is hurt the fire department goes its what the public expects, people call 911 for a reason and thats why we go.

  • @zrett7t Try it then. If you think it that easy try it. You wouldn't last a week. Tell me. Where is the best place to ventilate to prevent backdraft. If you get this wrong. You could kill yourself and your fellow firemen.

  • @Miroshinen If firemen did anything useful they would prevent fires... oh but that wold put them out of those high paying jobs. What a freakin joke.

  • @alvinfry I'm a volunteer. I don't get paid to risk my life. We try our best to teach fire prevention. It is up to them to take t to heart.

  • All these guys do is hang out and play games. They're not worth the money. All fire fighting should be done on a volunteer basis.

  • Oh really? You volunteer than you stupid cock.

  • What a buch of self serving crap...it would be comical if it wasn't for the fact that these macho men are paid for this.

Point a hose at a fire... 'hey look at me, 'am a fireman'

and finish the house with a thousand gallon of water. Yep..... takes a lotta brain for this.

    Bozos.

  • Zrett7t, you had better hope they're not bozos, because it's them hauling your ass out when you forget to blow out a candle or are trapped in your rolled car or have a sucking chest wound from a mugging gone wrong. Firefighters are EMTs and Paramedics (at least... some have more medical training.) You can't be a retard and be EMS: you have to be able to apply your knowledge in constantly changing surroundings, with ever-differing presentations of wounds.

  • I know several firemen who get their Bachelor's, go into the Fire Service, then do another 2 years to get their Associate's in Fire Science. Those guys get promoted.

All the aspects of the combat challenge have direct applications in the world a firefighter lives in.

Firefighters are the true "First Responders" and the best-trained individuals you'll meet at an emergency. Speaking as a trainee, anything that makes us better at our job or improves the way we do it has my support.

  • @zrett7hmm...why dont you stop running your mouth and try it then...yeah wet stuff on the hott stuff...no brainer..could you tell the condition for flash over or maybe try pulling out a brother firefighter knowing that there may be others still in need of saving..yeah fucks with your head just a little...thank a local firefighter tool

  • No shit, these assfucks are getting paid $75,000 and up with benefits no one else can get to basically sit around and lift weights. they make people evecuate when there is a fire so they won't see them let their house burn to the ground. What a crock of shit.

  • @alvinfry Sounds like a great job doesn't it Alvinfry? So why don't you apply? Oh... that's right, you did! And you were weeded out with the rest of the losers.

  • @wildman51 Good job wildman!

  • @alvinfry lol wow your way off... for one.. even the paid firefighters only make 25-38,000 a year for one. for two what do you expect us to do? ask you to sit on your couch and watch t.v while the house is engulfed in flames? i dont wish any harm on anyone... not even your pathetic excuse of a life... but i do hope you have to call 911 one day and have a firefighter save your life... maybe you'll pay some respect where it's do..

  • @buckshot10101 No, I'll probably end up putting out the fire myself like I did the last time after catching the firemen looting my garage. You guys aren't fooling anyone, scamming pension whores.

  • @buckshot10101 I don't dial 911... they want too much money and in my town the stuck up firemen don't show up anyway because they are protesting to get more money fo rtheir pensions. So fuck yourself.

  • @alvinfry stuck up firemen?wow you must live in one fucked up town dude..If only you knew half the shit volunteer and paid go through each day you would have more respect.Would you risk your life for people who don't give a shit about you?Deal with hazardous materials?fires?accidents?being one of the ones who go through without a pipe?Be in full gear while doing so?You should try it for a while just by the way you talk I bet you would not take the job for the salary.

  • @alvinfry When there at the station they are working still most of the time making sure everything is ready for the next call cleaning the engines/ladders the station itself then drills for volunteers at least in my city are 1-2 times a week but they are still on call so most of the time drills are cut short. The fireman paid and volunteer I have met are amazing people they always encourage each other to never give up brothers and those in pursuit of it.

  • @alvinfry Dude you think you have problems?Become a volunteer or paid firefighter you will see problems then and stuff you will never forget.Imo if you are looking for a way to get rich this job isn't for you.If you have a passion for helping people this job is for you.Would you take a job that can kill you on any call for 25- 45k a year depending on your rank and where you live, what degrees you have or get paid 100k+ at a desk job where you only have to worry about stomping your foot?

  • @alvinfry When you first become one it will be hard for a while until you get used to it after a while and catch on to things.I have only been on two calls so far just to observe I am still training and getting into tip-top shape atm.For some reason I think you are stereotyping every fireman because of one a-hole.I was on Engine 712 a thirty year old engine that we stripped a few days later because of finally getting a new one.Our fireman are one of the first on scene most of the time in Florida

  • @legend1617 Brother, don't waste your time with this fucking troll (alvinfry) He's going around on every firefighter video and calling us retards and such.

  • @buckshot10101 So they make crap money, but get high respects when they are needed?

  • @buckshot10101 fire fighters where i live make 80k a year lol

  • @alvinfry Learn to spell dumb ass!

  • @LuvLatinos3 OK... "dumb ass" - F-I-R-E-M-A-N - "dumb ass" Now go fist yourself until you see stars asshole.

  • @alvinfry why do you talk about yourself like that? It's ok that you couldn't pass the test to become a firefighter-- welfare won't be around forever but you can always get a job scooping dog poop! HAHAHAHAHA

  • This guy is jealous because hes stuck working a shitty 9-5

  • @zrett7t Being a firefighter is a lot more than "pointing a hose at a fire." Go to a fire house and ask them to demonstrate their skills. It may look easy, but try doing it yourself. You will FAIL MISERABLY. And not all firefighters are paid. A lot of us are volunteers. Do some research before you go out spouting bullshit like a cow with diarrhea.

  • @zrett7t Its unappreciative people like you that make me sick. You try doing what we train and prepare for every day.

  • He has no tanks he should be able to fly the course without the 20 kilos of tanks and gear. I ran a school training class like this. The dummy carring technique they use could be improved. Get the dummy at the waste and lift above the knees if possible.

Additionally the schools comments are incorrect. Most ff's sit around the station getting fat.

Try a highrise fire with no elevator. Add 50 kilos with haligan. exstinguisher, SCBA and 30 more floors. They'd puke at floor 13..

  • ow my days man this is gonna be hard i need to train my stamina my strenght and more

  • My department hold 3rd overall for the scott firefighter combat challenge. There time was 1:29 the record is 1:19

  • We did something like this in Fire Exlorers. That block when you hit it, in full PPE, it's a beast! Then we did something called the "Attik Crawl" ( I know I spelled it wrong bear with me) But we had to crawl through this attick on a thin VERY thin piece of board. I'm talkin not even a foot across. It was really fun tho! Don't I dare forget to mention "Gear Donning"!

  • I had to do this in michigan at the fire academy i went to, we had full gear and scba but we werent hooked up to air we just had the tank on our back and we still had to wear our face mask so it fogged up and junk, them steps are the worst part.

  • Yes I agree. The Attik Crawl we did that with the tank on, but not the mask. The worst part was that the regulator kept getting stuck. And the Chop Block... well nobody really likes that anyway.

  • sweet man, where in MI? i was in a fire academy there too and we had to do something like this also

  • nice guys

  • Comment removed

  • That is a crack up!

  • Go Cincy State!!

  • I just did this in order to take classes at Cincy State.

  • thats so cool i had no idea about a championship for firefighters. i'm gonna talk to my school about this, it sounds like alot of fun.

  • we have rescue randy too. it sucks for me cuz im 5 foot 8 inches weighing in at 150 lbs.

  • @emtmartinez1989 Me too! Go lil guys that can tuck in and be agile with full PPE and SCBA! Represent

  • rescue randy doesn't feel like 165 when your tired!

  • 1:47 in turnout gear we done it in 1:35

  • Is it your first year?

  • um...I think he took at LEAST 2 minutes on the Keiser Sled...and BTW, I hate Rescue Randy too...

  • My Appoligies rosher551, and my other brothers. My negititivity is directed towards media, not the brothers. Although we try to "control" the media, often not all information is passed effectivly. Again, I'm sorry if I pissed you boys off... train hard - promote the sport- save lives.

    Wild Man

  • So wildman why do you feel the need to be so confrontational? No one from our program has ever said a bad word about fellow competitors whether from Canada, or the US.If you have an issue with kids trying to better themselves physically as they enter the fire service then I feel sorry for you.The piece was done for exposure of the program, and the sport. So instead of being confrontational, maybe you should be encouraging them like everyone else on the Challenge circuit,Firefit or On-Target.

  • National??? No... it's International. "Entire State of Ohio???" Thats nice. Let's get it on - tough guys.

  • What do you mean wildman? These kids may be young but they have heart cut them some slack

  • It is a shame that some of our brothers to the north have to put their fellow competitors down for no apparent reason. Here is a great program that encourages the next generation of firemen to get and stay in shape. To do that well each year with new kids each time says something not only their level of dedication but also the energy Schreck puts into training each of them. I have practiced next to all of them for the last 3 years and they deserve the props they got from Bob and Channel 12.

  • those guys are hot
