This is more a discussion of priming effects than implicit memory. Looking at priming isn't the only or even the best way of measuring implicit memory.
From my research it seems that Serial Reaction Time (SRT) developed by Nissen And Bullemer (1987) is more commonly used for measuring implicit memory.
