Hey Gerta, let's have a public radio dabate between you and me. Then you can explain to everyone why those kind Nazis fed you, and cared for you, and protected you from the cold and disease and so many other nasty things. Try to tell the truth for a change. Stop lying!!
The Nazis kept you ALIVE Gerta! You "survived" because the Nazis wanted you to "survive!"

i really really dislike this -.-, i have to write a essay about her and some other survivors.. Gay as hell, heard this story about 100 times and tbh can't give a fuck anymore..
I have myself attended a lecture/speech/interview by a survivor, and it is amazing how everything and everyone goes completely silent when they tell their story. It is the one thing people still have the utmost respect for.
Gerda, I read your book years ago. You are so eloquent! When I read your book, I could not believe that English was not your first language. My mother is a surivor of Auschwitz and she very much wants to get in touch with you. She just finished reading your book, with only one good eye, holding a magnifying glass in your trembling hands. She cried and felt such a connection to you, telling me that she walked on the same bridge as you in Dresden, only a few months later in May 1945. write me

Is this the same video that won the Oscar in the late 90s or simply a talk with that same person under the same name?
SamECircle 2 years ago
@SamECircle yes, she won an Oscar for this.

@tmwalkerm Well, she wouldn't have won the oscar, the program would have (the hbo program.) Is this that program?
