  • I love her little face

  • There's a local holocaust going on there inside that glass!!!

  • Like fine wine!

  • Please keep the bullshit political debates off the comments here. People raise and keep these animals for valid reasons.

  • @bxkforu101 They tend to sleep all day so if you worked during the day then yeah it would be no problem but it's a good idea to have a room that's made safe for them in case they do get up. They can be destructive.

  • What's the deal with the mound of poop(?)

  • @KPDProf That's food.

  • Finally I found the secret: Ants can transform to shit - but they need an anteater.

  • poor little ants lol.that anteater licked them all up in like 5 seconds

  • Only way this would have been better is if he was eating them from a champagne glass.

  • Where can I buy an anteater? ç__ç Please help me!

  • where do you get that anteater?

  • @ericzak2011 I got Pua from a guy in Florida.

  • Pua, don't eat beef! It isn't natural for you! Go vegan :D ( and hunt bugs when your outside )

  • @fantax929

Whether you like it or not, anteaters-and any other creature that naturally eats bugs or the flesh of another creature-CANNOT go vegan. There have been horrible, documented incidents of owners who tried to put their pets on vegan diets (like cats, dogs, etc.) with tragic results! (cont.)

  • (cont.) The animals suffered everything from neurological damage (sometimes PERMANENT) to unpredictable behaviour similar to psychosis in humans!

Talk to a vet if you don't believe me. A vegan diet is anything but "natural" for an anteater!

This owner hasn't randomly created a self-styled diet for her anteater. Instead, she is feeding her pet a scientifically-formulated, proven diet that meets as close as possible what Pua would receive in the wild. (cont.)

  • (cont.) As for allowing Pua to receive her daily protein needs ONLY from what ants she could forage for herself in the wild, do you have any idea HOW MANY ants she would have to consume to get anywhere near what her daily protein needs are?! 35,000 a DAY! How/where would she be able to find that many in her current habitat?!

  • @Babyhowdy233 Silly, there's vegan food for pets. It's sure that if you feed your cat with carrots he won't last long, you gotta give him substitute

  • @fantax929

I can assure you, as someone who worked as a vet's assistant, there is NO vegan foods for cats.

Cats need MEAT, as well as some grains and vegetables. I still shudder when I recall the many cases of cats brought into the clinic who had been fed "meat substitutes" (soy, etc.) and my god the resukts were HORRIBLE:seizures, hair falling out, severe digestive disorders, psychosis, etc. (cont.)

  • (cont.) I attended one of the best colleges in California for education and training in the care and management of exotic animals:Moorpark University. Among the many diverse animals we worked with were anteaters, and I can assure you NONE were ever put on vegan diets, ever.

  • @fantax929 There's no such thing even though marketed that way. Vegan means no animal products. Cats and some dog breed need taurine for example and there is no way to get that except from flesh. You can buy taurine supplement but it's derived from flesh. Even in humans true vegans are not healthy unless they take supplements to replace what can only be taken from flesh and some of those supplants also can only be made from flesh.

  • I'll bet his tongue gets him all the ladies

  • Best house pet.

  • Awwwwwww! So cute!

  • owwww that the most ADORABLE thing ive ever seen! i think im in LOVE! <3

  • Would you like Red Ants with your Steak or White?

  • What noises do they make?

  • @dossaroo1 They mostly make different hisses and can growl. The babies chirp and trill.

  • ZOMG I need him or her in mah house pron-TO!

  • do you know if theyre legal in ny?

  • @1stresponder1 In the state I don't think there are any laws. NYC they aren't allowed. Other counties and cities you need to check.

  • @TamanduaGirl Holy Shit is he fast with his tounge, how do you feed him? He just eats ants dont he? Where do you get so many Ants every day, he must eat 1000 of ants

  • @MyStrangeAnimals The ants are mostly given as treats. The diet is beef based and specially formulated to meet their nutritional needs.

  • what a wild looking creature

  • am I the only one who's going to say it? fine

OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NoM NOM NOM NOM

  • What if gets angry and attacks you one day? They are way to wild to be kept as a house pet.

  • @constipatedclown They are very nonaggressive. Pua is especially sweet. They wont harm anyone except in self defense.

  • do they eat fire ants?

  • @gg2000gg2000 Fire ants are from the same area they are originally. They are a regular part of the wild diet. They don't stay long at a nest though so wont wipe them out.

  • Are they hard to domesticate? Do they mind if you stroke/cuddle them?

  • @LemonZeppelin They are hard to take care of but personality wise they are great. Pua plays and snuggles with me. The only one that doesn't like to be touched is the rescue, Aurora.

  • What on earth is my fat sister doing in the background???

She's such a piece of crap

  • Wow, fast!

  • oh anteater is cute, look like pola bears

  • Firin' tonge

  • leave no survivors

  • I feel like Pua and I really made a connection in this video.

  • Took off

  • Why the long face?

  • do they keep ur house free of bugs?

  • @LIKEballsINmyMOUTH69 Not really, they don't eat spiders. We don't usually have ants but will let her lick them up if some show up and they stop coming after awhile. Bear in mind if you were infested with ants or termites they would tear the walls apart to get to them.

  • I see a huge piece of crap in the backround

  • @KlondikeBar86 That's her food.

  • @TamanduaGirl Oh, Sorry it just looked that way : )

  • @TamanduaGirl you shouldnt feed her huge pieces of crap

  • @TamanduaGirl It sure looks like crap

  • @KlondikeBar86

That's not crap. It's actually a clump of Pua's specially formulated, beef-based food mix you see.

  • It's a wild animal. You took it out of its niche. I hope your house is at the same humidity and temperature as its natural environment.

I also hope you have proper veterinary care for it.

  • @SnazzyArcade Yes I did years of research before getting her so she is well taken care of.

  • aw how adorable btw how is this animal torture-psh that anteater has more freedom than many other captive animals most of u hav! including my own hamster. i mean, get real. this owner treats this anteater with all the love, attention, and respect and ur tellin that its animal torture? wow, truely pathetic.

  • I could watch these critters all day! they're so fascinating. Thanks for sharing the video

  • i like the sound it makes in the glass when it eats lol

  • If only new jersey wasn't such a faggot state I'd get one...

  • i would love to have one

  • lol thats hilarious

  • that is so cool but think you should pick up that mountain poop haha

  • you should put some ants between your toes!

if it is safe of course.

  • @ontariobuds It looks like that would tickle more than anything.

  • @KamuntKurush THAT'S THE POINT.

  • soo if he were to go to a resturaunt it'd be like "glass of ants please, and thank you"

  • so cute

  • Awsome!!! How/ Where did u get that anteater, i rlly want 1. But do they have any dangers? like chimpanzees can get angry and rib your jaw/eyes/nose/hands/ears etc. thanks!!

  • @shortwanker A giant anteater could kill you but it would be a real freak accident if a tamandua killed you. Though they do still have the potential to do some damage with their claws.

  • @shortwanker it's stupid to have an animal like that as a pet.... You can't just go arround the world and buy animals for your amusement.

  • @drederprops Of course you can if you care for it right and follow the laws. I mean say someone bought a zoo but kept the animals and cared for them all the same as when the zoo was open but closed it and only kept them for themselves, it wouldn't suddenly be wrong just because they are now pets instead of a business venture.

  • What state do you live in? Did you have to get a permit to own your anteater? Too cute!

  • @ssinclair07 I'm on Oregon. They do not require a permit here aside from the import permit into the state but some counties and cities have stricter laws.

  • An anteater, an aardvark and a horse went into a bar. "Why the long faces?" asked the barman.

  • @happyninslave omg you are being serious aren't you? i know who i am taking to my dinner for winners! (dinner for schmucks joke)

  • @happyninslave

Its interesting how those of idiotic descent tend to act high and mighty.

Get the fuck of the internet, you uneducated brat. Go take a class on biology.

  • soooooo cute its like your very own ant exterminator

  • @happyninslave And another thing..... wtf does a pretzel have to do with anything? Upset because QWERTY made a good point and you didn't have a real adult arguement towards it "little baby??"

  • @happyninslave Um. Yeah. If you own a domestic dog or cat or goldfish you also condone the "animal slave trade" you speak of. They were created breeding wild animals as if they were toys, like lego blocks, that you could "create" other things with, and then they're bred and kept where they don't belong and unpurchased babies are killed. By the way, you COULD have given the cockatiel to an aviary to PROPERLY care for it and possibly release it somewhere, correct? So there, shut up.

  • Wow look at that tongue go.

  • he's quick!

  • @happyninslave Your cockatoo is no more domesticated than my anteater. Why have an exotic yourself if you think keeping them is torture?

  • Why the long face?

  • that anteater must be great in bed

  • VACCUM!

  • its tongue looks hilarious

  • where do yu live and how did yu get the anteater as a pet?

  • holy fuck that thing can slurp

  • not to be nasty or anything but how big is the anteaters poop? and how bad does it smell on a scale from 1-10 10 being worst

  • @thepimpinman02 A healthy poop is similar to dog poop. It smells different but I don't know if I'd say it's worse or not. It was really horrible before she was healthy though.

  • are those ants live?

  • @winston23456789 No I freeze them so they don't escape and get all over.

  • do they have sharp claws that hurt??????

  • @eaglegymgirl1228 Yes they can be filed but they can still pinch hard.

  • damn thats hella sick i wish i had an anteater

  • That waz suck

  • Are they hard to manage + and is it expensive to keep

    ??

  • @JustJeddeh They can be tricky to keep healthy. Google "anteater FAQ" and "Anteater care sheet" those are mine.

  • Is that shit in the top left corner?

  • It's food.

  • @ghostfase That's what I thought! I'm like, "Damn! That's a lot of shit!" LOL! I don't think it's food! The food is what they brought to it in a glass... ANTS!

  • Look at that fucker go...

  • BAD ASS SHIT!

There is nothing more awesome than an animal specifically designed to EXTERMINATE another animal.

    plus it's cute :3

  • Wait.."specifically designed"?? By who?

  • can i have one is australia? can you get them from ebay? ;/

  • No to both. You can't sell anything live on ebay.

  • Ants? What ants?

  • I Would give everything to get an anteater

  • omg that is so... asume

  • is it legal to adopt anteater?i didnt know dat

  • It depends on your local laws.

  • CHOW DOWN YOSHI!

  • wow you have one at home?! Can I get one as well?

  • I don't know the laws in Finland but one might not survive a trip there. They are very temperature sensitive and stress easy.

  • sooo cute

  • Please don't tell me that is his poop in the background.

  • her*

  • No that's her food.

  • Oh... Okay.

  • @AsianandBuddies it is.

    >.<

  • @AsianandBuddies That's actually food.

  • Ha ha, well i'd prefer a glass off wine but each to their own pmsl ++++

  • LOL I wasn't expecting that quick lick

  • She gobbled those up really quick.

  • Pua is just gorgeous. :) Anteaters sure are fascinating looking animals.

  • Love the look on her face at the end as if she's telling you, "Thanks for the appetizer now where's the entree?"

  • quickly eating

  • she wasted no time eating those ants! LOL

  • It's so cute :3
