Well Ghost was shot in the SHOULDER and then NO GASOLINE was pored on Ghost just Roach. And during the level that you and Ghost are shot in, you were covered by a sniper team that probably would come get the survivors. So my theory is Ghost is not dead but not in the game which is a proven fact because i have just finished the campaign for MW3.

If Ghost is dead, someone is taking up his name, however it could actually be Ghost. I have been lead to believe that Ghost was perhaps wearing fireproof garments, considering he was a spec ops commando along with roach. If you will go to CallofDuty's Youtube and watch the full MW3 preview, at the end you'll see a character come from around a derailed subway car, the character can be made out as Ghost's height and build and is wearing the legendary skull ski mask. Once again, only a theory.

Ghost is not coming back to life, they are showcasing events BEFORE mw2 and mw1 and typing up lose ends in mw2. He is still dead, but flash backs of him will be in mw3. Hope this cleared some things up

Gaz was shot in the head at the end of the CoD4. Infinity Ward just used the same voice actor for both characters. Hope this helps...
