I wanna check this out for sure. All the reviews Iv seen on it have been positive so far. And it just looks like a fun flick. 5/5 awesome review as usual guys!
Don't forget Tony Scott's penchant for zooming in and out of things for no apparent reason. You see that technique being deployed in every action movie and cop TV show now, but I'm pretty sure it was Scott that started that.
i thought the first half of this movie was terrible. very dry and dull. once denzel and pine encounter the train and start chasing it backwards is when it started to get really good.
@schmoesknow finally saw the last air bender via download - "flying shitbox" is a compliment for this movie. Shayamanalan ruined this beloved series - I hoped he gets hit by a train.
Always fun when you two start going off. Looks like an okay film and I think it will do okay in the boxoffice, even up against Skyline (which looks like a one-weekend wonder).
@VoteOnWalkthroughs They changed the setting becuase Pennsylvania because Staton in Pennsylvania is one of the Train capitols in the country, I think it was also because of the deadly curve to make it more suspenseful
schmoes please dont see skyline, please, hey i love your reviews like everybody else and want as many as i can get but it is beyond awful and kristian save your money spend it on your wife
@mrhammer1777 Well we appreciate the warning but to be honest, I am up for a shitty movie. It has been a while. BUT who knows, maybe I will be the one guy who likes it, you never know..(Ps my wife agrees with you)
Just saw the movie! Truly I was just in the theater 30 min. ago. I thought it was a good film. It wasn't trying to be anything it wasn't and the chemistry between Pine and Washington was very good. I am glad I saw this than Skyline. :)
I was actually really interested in this one, and I still am. :) It looks great, especially thanks to the great casting. Thanks so much for the review, gentlemen. Funny as always.
@McGoiter Ha, great Simpsons reference, the movie isn't ridiculous, it isn't terrific but it is entertaining for sure and only an hour and a half or so.
@BlazeTheMovieFan If you like predictable movies and repetitive effects, unstoppable would be a great choice. If these things make you bash your head into a wall, best throw your money at one of the others. I haven't seen the other two, but if you like laughing at bad action movies, Skyline just might be good. If you like cutesie movies, Due Date might be good. If you can't remember how any other action movie went and need to refresh your memory, see Unstoppable.
@evilassaultweapon I won't see Skyline, at least not in theaters. BlackBusterCRITIC didn't just give me a reason why it sucked, he gave me the perfect reason.
As for Due Date, I'm more fan of action movies than comedy movies, so I probably won't see Due Date in theaters.
@evilassaultweapon Well we didn't hate Unstoppable as much as you did but out of those three choices that Blaze wants to see, it is by the far the one on the list to be entertained by, agree?
@schmoesknow Considering I haven't seen the other two, I cannot say for sure. Personally, I think I might have liked Skyline more, but not enough to call it a good movie. I don't think any of them would be good enough to spend the money to see in theaters. Perhaps I'm just saying this because I've come to expect that a movie do something that hasn't been done several times before and that a supposedly realistic movie based on a true story maintains some semblance of realism.
@schmoesknow And what do I mean by realism? Well, there were several unrealistic scenes in the movie, but the most glaring insult to the audience's intelligence was in my opinion the purveyance of the idea that diesel fuel is explosive. As a matter of fact, it burns about as well as kerosene, which some people still use in home heaters.

If you have to choose between Due Date, Skyline and Unstoppable which one would you choose? I have to make that decision shortly.
BlazeTheMovieFan 1 year ago
@BlazeTheMovieFan In this order (Kristian)
1. Unstoppable
2. Due Date
3. Havent seen Skyline yet but can tell you that NO ONE should pay for this.
