Anyone who think this is fake is complete and utter idiot. A laser is a device that can emit a collimated beam of light. Light travels at c and doesn't stop unless it hits something. The composition of our atmosphere is not dense enough to stop such lasers, hence the beam and believe me they can go way farther than 1.5 miles. I own a green laser who's beam is visible up to 5 miles away.

The only problem with these laser is that kids/teenagers shouldn't be allowed to use them because they just don't know the potential dangers of these devices.
