Funny you should say that, back then Bandai actually gave Takara some flak cause they believed that Predaking's lion chest was copied off of Daltanious, apparently there was a lawsuit too, no one knows what happened though, so it's just like, a rumor.
@Devilbat74 Also I was referring to things like Macross-Robotech (which I like) and Gatchaman (the American version is not good). This Is not real its just an audio edit? But the idea was good and it was horrible. In your country has ever seen Daltanias?

Toei was supposed to send WEP this to make into Voltron, but Toei screwed up and sent WEP GoLion instead. But WEP decided GoLion was better than Daltanius so they didn't complain and made GoLion into Voltron.

they made the 3rd voltron.it was called the lion force.in the U.S. THEY WENT WITH THE LION FORCE FORCE 1ST then vehicle force a few yrs. later but they never released the gladitor force 1 in the U.S.

@Devilbat74 Not at all. WEP wanted this version, Toei got their translations crossed and shipped GoLion instead. Instead of getting ticked, WEP decided that GoLion was the better fit for American Audiences and accepted that instead. But, thanks to YouTube, we can see how this one looks, even if it's in bits and pieces.
There were three voltrons. The DVD's explain the story. One Voltron for the different areas of space. The Vehicle Voltron was defender of earth, and was actually Voltron I, the Lion Voltron was farthest from earth, and was Voltron III, and the other was in between, and was Voltron II.
