if you have an iPhone 2G or 3G yes, it has to be jailbroken in order to record video and upload to YouTube but if it is a 3Gs then no, it already had video recording and it is already capable of uploading directly to YouTube.

are you on 3.1.2...the same thing happened with the 3.0 update but then a week or two later it got fixed so the issue might be the same, just a compatibility issue

you dnt have the correct iphone video recorder when you go to cydia if you have a 2generation iphone make sure you get the one tht say iphone video recorder for 2g

what version of video recorder do you have? if you click the video response above it's my tutorial on how to get it for free and everyone who tries it has done so with success (just read the comments lol). So maybe you should try uninstalling it then following my tutorial on how to get it for free, then restart your phone and try it again

are you sure you're doing everything correctly? It shouldn't matter what firmware you have since this has to do with your email and YouTube more than it does with the iPhone

thats interesting....what firmware are you running, I haven't tried to install it on 3.1, 3.1.1, or 3.1.2 yet so there may be an issue there. It may take a few days for it to work, thats what happened when 3.0 was released, a lot of people were having issues but then a few days later they tried again and it was fine

you might have to reinstall VR3G...if you do, make sure you reset your phone before opening the app (this should be done after anything is downloaded from cydia in my opinion to make sure everything works right)
