I really wish that I could have seen this live. I was at Rothbury too....this reminds me of a much better version of a piece my dance troupe performed at Bella Madre loast year. This was terrific and awe inspiring. THANK YOU!

PS - Does anyone know what those "firefly fans" that Shakti (I think it's her) uses in the middle and at the end of the act are called? I saw them once before as a fire tool but I am wondering if anyone know where I could purchase glow or fire "firefly fans"

I'm with you, I really want a paid of those! From what I understand they're just LEDs on the end of long springs with the battery packs in their hands, a performance artist that goes by "Sage" also has a pair. The construction sounds simple, but I would def love to purchase some. If you find any leads let me know!

Wow. Beautiful, girlies! Bordering on *sacred,* with your white costumes and your otherworldly movements and props. Noticed a Hoop Convergence influence (Boston Hoop Troop square and Alley 'Oop multiples class eagle thang). Fun to see it all come together. Good work. :)

This performance was really new ground for us. I felt the hoop community there with me as we explored sacred geometry, the exploding square, and storytelling with the hoop (very inspired by Lunar Fire as well). Thanks team HoopCon 09 for all the inspiration!! We had FUN with this!

Oh my GOSh!!! <3 I am welling up in tears this is soo beautiful! I can barely even handle this. I had to pause it to catch my breath. Twice. This is the most amazing, heart warming, thoughtfully and beautifully choreographed performance I've ever seen! Seriously. All the different elements, the beautiful dancing between transitions!
