A truly brilliant song, although I've never seen The Cure capture the sheer brutality of the recorded version in a live performance. This, and the Pippbrook Manor versions are pretty good though. i think I've worn the grooves out on my original vinyl copy of Pornography, especially this song. Surely one of the darkest and best cure songs. Robert's head must have been in a dark place when he wrote this. Starkly beautiful. Uncompromisingly brutal and yet so fragile too.
