I was about 8 or 9 when I saw them, that's why I only remember one of them. And the one I do remember is only fragments. But I remember a lot of balloons and beach balls being tossed around, thumping drums, wild solos, and Jerry's crazy white hair. heh heh.
when i was 2 in 95 my dad showed me the grateful dead movie, and i ve loved the opening sequence since then also in the car we always listended to the dead it was so fun.
My fav dead song (of course it needs >I know your ride to be complete ) , Great version too, also dont knock rap until you've tasted around, try immortal technique or what i like to call 'consciensciouse hip hop', you'd be suprised
....wtf is with all the rock band or guitar hero or whatever talk about? its a game. just listen to the goddamn song, and stop arguing about what song u want to push colored buttons to...
I've heard the Dead in all kinds of frames of mind, and they always make my trip better, even if my trip is on nothing at all. The complex, unrehearsed blues and jazz with the fun lyrics make them what they are.
I actually like the Grateful Dead. However, I do think that they could easily have a six song pack as well. For Guns N' Roses, I would go with Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child O' Mine, Civil War, Patience, Paradise City, & You Could Be Mine. For Iron Maiden, I'd go with Fear of the Dark, The Trooper, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Wasted Years, Aces High, & Flight of Icarus.
I still think Guns N' Roses could happen for two reasons. First, they have already worked with Harmonix before to put Sweet Child O' Mine in Guitar Hero 2. Finally, Harmonix had originally planned to put Welcome to the Jungle in Rock Band but the deal never got officially settled. There is actually a video of the Harmonix team playing the song in their office on YouTube. They may have decided to remove it because Activision announced the song in their game before they did.

man, I am so jealous. Jerry Garcia died when I was 7, so I will never be able to see them live. :(

The thing that always amazes me about the
Dead is how timeless they are.
A song about seemingly nothing that has connotations to classical literature. Still the greatest band in the history of music!

I'm terribly sorry that the world doesn't revolve around you.
Also, I never want an Iron Maiden or GnR song in Rock Band again, the covers suck.
