  • Phillips 66 the most trusted wings in aviation?

  • How much if my premium went into that POS? They should sell the blimp and get back to selling insurance.

  • @TheTopBloke It wasn't built by and isn't owned by Farmers. They just painted their name on it as a giant billboard. It's owned and operated by Airship Ventures in California, who sell sightseeing in it rides over San Francisco.

  • @SmokyMtnSteam Right.

  • It may be the biggest airship around now, but historically it's dwarfed by Hindenburg which was over 800 feet long. There were many airships of the 1930s over three times longer than this one. They were rigid frameworks with gas bags within, and passenger accommodation within the cigar-shaped body (apart from the control cabin under the nose, and external engines).

  • If you like airships and are in need of a laugh try Gasbags: 3w dot airship dot me for the worlds only lighter than comedy web site. Regards JB (Airship & Blimp Consultant)
