Alamo was harbored by people turning their backs on what was happening. They were either scared or did not want to get involved because it did not affect them. People in Fouke have to some day admit that the mayor and city council at the time allowed this to happened.
As far as the pronounsing of Fouke , you have to understand not all that knew of Alamo were not from the Fouke area. Some were from as far away as Canada.
