  • see Blue Angeles

  • @bnitu00 blues have nothing on the snowbirds

  • The great thing about living in Moose Jaw, SK is that these guys practice every day when they're not away for shows. It doesn't matter how many times I see them, though. It still makes me proud to be Canadian every time they pass overhead.

  • They are so cool.

  • If you want the full Snowbirds experience, bring a radio scanner with you. Frequency is 272.1 MHz, signal type AM.

  • i like how the snowbirds always leave in flying in a striaght horizontal line, i guess its just a thing they have.

  • I agree that the Snowbirds are the best, at what they do yes, but that's no reason to diss other performer's qualities, right? And I'm Canadian btw.

  • My dad is the corparal cheif :) he fly in number one .. Hes name is Jean- marc Brien :) im hes son :D

  • I Love Snowbird They are the best

  • only joke here is you. and talk about arrogant asshole you're talikn like opinion means absolutely anything. i bet you couldn't fly a fuckin kite let alone any sort of aircraft you fuckin flake.

  • my point just another butthead from canada . i get sick of hearing how good canada is .

  • go invade some poor defenseless country why dont ya.

  • your just jealous cause you can't be canadian...

  • Then fucking except it

  • most Canadians can spell arrogant properly also, what does that tell you.

  • You havent met a friendly canadian because Canadians Hate most Americans for their sense of arrogance and pride

  • I'm from America and I gotta admit, these guys can't be topped.

  • man, our snowbirds own y'all, like the blueangels or anything

  • we own the blue angels and friggen thunderbirds, we use 9 they use 6 and we have way more skill

  • Plus compare the planes that are used. Im not sure of the Avionic differences but the Snow Birds use much older training planes compared to the Blue Angles f-15. Snowbirds are the best.

  • blue angel f 18, they are much closer than canadian in their formation, but their programm never change, and look le double tonneau croise a t 2.30...just fucking amazing

  • Comment removed

  • Uh where did u get the f-15 from??? they use the f-18 !!!

  • lol wtf..

I mean come on.. the number doesn't make the difference.. they all got equal skills..

  • Man those guys are tight :)

  • makes me SO proud to be Canadian! Thanks to everyone who worked to create this, including 007

  • They are flying around outside my house right now. Penticton BC Sweetness

    I Am Canadian!

    ~ty Wyse

  • lol they just flew over my house as i was watching this @ 1:20, and twice a little earlier today

  • what kind of aircraft do the snowbirds use? It doesn't look anything like something built for dogfighting. So does anyone know?

  • CT-144 Tutor

  • ones that crash on training missions

  • All Planes crash on training missions NUMBSKULL, more so then actual combat missions even moron.

  • you do know how idiotic that statement is.

    quoting that

"All" plane crashes are on training missions.

proceeding to define hypocrisy, by calling me stupid after such a dumbshit statement.

    then you say

that it's more so than actual combat missions.

meaning that not all plane crashes are on training missions.

    You are a moron.

  • Know your the dumbfuck that needs to learn enlgish and so called "TENSES" That was past tense you fucking idiot, Planes crash MORE ON training missions then combat missions and the #'s are staggering when combined, if I am so dumb I wouldnt have flown in the AF for 9 years in a F18. Dumb little fucking kids who think they are smart,

  • I love how full of shit you are.

do you know how many kids on youtube start arguments basing all of their facts on wikipedia, and google.

and to make things even better.

you talk like you are a know it all. definitely not an adult.

you definitely have NOT flown in the air force.

unless you can prove it, you fall in the category of all the other kids who say that they are

Ex: Swat team, SAS, U.S. Marine, Delta force, Fighter Pilot. JTF 2.

    GTFO

    you are an idiot.

stop arguing online and grow up

  • @MetaliCanuck youtube fights are like the special olympics......... no one gives a fuck so screw off

  • coming from some moron with a handle like yours you know how stupid and ironic your comment just was right, yep your better then your left hand spanky, give me a break lol

  • when I say ALL planes crash on training missions, that simply means when put into proper "tense" you will NOT find one plane that HAS NOT CRASHED ON A TRAINING MISSION, can you understand that child? fucking retards

  • who do i need to prove it to? Definately not you mr. good guy, im sorry your just as jealous now get the fuck over it dude, you obviously felt good enough to comment on it, sorry you lack the knowledge to be able to prove it, but check out my one vid, youll see a demo I put on in 2007 in Abbottsford, later.

  • I love the snowbirds they were at my city today and it was amazing

  • lets go come to quebec city...this amazong cty

  • 2:28 - 2:48 is called the lagback cross. Gives me chills everytime I see it. My manouver by far.

  • Intence

  • Great vid keep 'em coming

  • my uncles cousin in law is number 8 opposing solo capt. LaVerdiere im going to see them this summer and see him

  • Very cool formations. the star move was very cool to watch.

  • Aren't the snowbirds and the blue angels teams that regularly take eachother for rides when they meet at shows? Simply because both respected eachother

One of these days the snowbirds will get F/18's.. Then you can truly compare. It's not even close right now

  • Aren't the snowbirds and the blue angels teams that regularly take eachother for rides when they meet at shows? Simply because both respected eachother

One of these days the snowbirds will get F/18's.. Then you can truly compare. It's not even close right now

  • yes i agreed

  • 2:30 - 2:45 was sick, Ive seen the Snowbirds perform in North Bay, but I haven't seen that particular demonstration

  • They've been doing that for years, it's always been one of my favourites

  • Oh come on people. Both teams are great. The Blue Angels are amazing because of their formations and solo displays of their high performance F-18. But the Snowbirds are also spectacular with their 9-ship demonstration, solo passes, and creative formations. I am a Canadian resdient who loves all North American demo teams. Maybe other people should give respect to the pilots who defend their continent as well.

  • The Snowbirds have a different mandate then the Angels/or T-Birds. The Angels and T-Birds are there not only for recruiting but to sell the FA18 and F16. This is why there showes feature the capibilities of there AC, where the Snowbirds are a recruitng tool.

  • I saw these guy crash in Trenton Ontario at the airshow at CFB Trenton, many years ago when two wingtips clipped. One man lived via parachute and the other died hitting the ground not far from me. It was horrifying.

  • I want one! Okay, then just the pilot ;)

  • im canadian and i personally think the italian team is by far the best and our airforce is terrible i was going to apply for pilots training but after i saw the site i figured i'd be better off moving to the states and applying to thier airforce or navy

  • Wasn't it the Italian team that managed to kill 72 people at an airshow in Rammstien, Germany? Yeah, it was.

  • accidents happen and they know how to put on a show...

  • sorry to tell you you cant just apply to become a pilot in the airforce like you apply at your local grocery store. It takes a number of tests before you are even considered to be accepted into training.

  • very true i had to apply 3 different times just to get into the school but im on my way the only unfortunate part was the cost

  • you applied to a military flight training school and there was a cost? what school? or are u talking a college to do your flight training?

  • yes but the schooling is primarily for other requirements just to enter into the airforce basics such as a second language and math skills if i fail from anything it will be math dear god im terrible at it

  • yah i knew that you need proficiency tests in second language and something similar to a university diploma and/or you write some tests, so im assuming this schooling is to prepare you to pass the tests then? kinda crappy that the military makes u pay for it though

  • ya i thought so too yet if i wanted to apply for infantry theres pretty much no schooling required

  • I just boggles me that you see all of the commercials for the military and what not and then they make you pay to go to school. However, if you were already in, they would basically pay for you to get a university education.. just odd i find.

  • no i can understand that... i have my Private Pilot License and am currently completing my Commercial, Multi- Engine and IFR ratings at Sault College, and for our air force's sake i am defninetly glad there is schooling. There is definetly a ceratin amount of proficiency required to be a pilot.

  • you must be from quebec. First off your only going to go to the USA to try out because your too stupid too make it here, the chance of you making it here is 1000 times harder, its simple math moron, your probably never going to be in the armed forces lettle lone a pilot with that talk,

  • also it will takes you 2-3 years to get your green card and citizenship, that was the route i was going to take, and judging by the 82 in your handle, your TOO OLD too make it now in Canada, they won't even look at you, I know bud so stop with all the nonsense BS

  • i just saw a show of them today at charlo new brunswick canada, theyr really good

  • Kudos. I tried to watch from Dalhousie mountain but it was far too foggy to see anything from there.

This is the most extreme sport I have ever seen. Cpt. Boudreau had a dream and fulfilled it well. WTG Dave!

    Dad103

  • u tried to wactch it from dalousie really? Who are u maybe i know u...im from campbellton

  • Blue angels are better. they do a 7.5 G turn in formation. at higher speeds theyn the snowbirds. becuase their planes are military planes. with military fighter pilots.

  • The snowbirds are military pilots as well, and the reason they don't fly as fast is because they fly older, lower performance aircraft that are much slower compared to the Blue Angel's F/A-18 Hornet. It's the Blue Angel's planes that are better.

  • that's right, the snowbird pilots are better

  • i'm not so sure about that, and i'm not sure the snowbirds fly tighter formations either, the blue angels fly formations where they get within 18 inches of each other, i think that's about as close as all teams get. i personally like the blue angels more but it's all a matter of taste.

  • well actually the snowbirds use ex military planes and they are military pilots

  • i saw the snowbirds today (internation air show) in toronto and the snowbirds also do a fly by at 4 feet wingtip to wingtip. and there were 9 planes flying in most of the formations

  • The Red Arrows are the best in the world. Closest formation they do is 3-4 feet from the wingtip.

    :)

  • blue angels get within 18 inches from the wingtip

  • Wow, merci :)

    RIP Shawn McCaughey

  • The snowbirds only fly a trainer aircraft while the blue angles fly high performance fighters and the snowbirds are still better plus the snowbirds have nine aircraft instead of six.

  • RED ARROWS fly a GOSHAWK type trainer

    jet as well.

  • Oh sure, I guess you can't compare the two, I had never even heard of these teams ie: Snowbirds, The Red Arrows. I get defensive when someone says that one particulat team is 'better than' the Blue Angels. That's like slamming a worldknown legend. All of these mentioned teams are excellent in their own right. The Blue Angels are my favorite and I deem them the best in the world however.

  • The Blue Angels are THE BEST IN THE WORLD; they started aerobatics, they are the originals, the Snowbirds, the Red Arrows are all wannabes. The Blue Angels at least use modern jets...try to beat an F-18 Hornet....The Blue Angels rule the skies!!!

  • The russian knight and swift team from russia fly whit the su-27 and mig-29..100 better than the f-18..but whit less budget sure....and blue angels... maybe the best team but..there are just 4 planes in the air and snowbirs 9..and you know what?..frecce tricolorie from italia fly whit exactly 10 planes so...it`s just a little bit easy to fly whit 4 planes..so..yea...a little bit slower whit the snowbirds but..nice to watch.

  • The Blue Angels use six jets, not four. and their stunts are much much harder to perform, than just flying in formation like many of these copycat teams do.

  • but...the snowbirds go a bit slower, so they can get in way tighter, so there really is no comparison...both teams are amazing

  • six jets :S:S:S i've seen them many times and every time they're using 4 planes.

  • it looks like this was shot in comox, or at least some of it. Am I right?

  • No way could the blue angels or the thunderbirds ever best the snowbirds. this vid makes me proud to be Canadian.

  • Red arrows are the best display team. Rule Britannia

  • damn. im american and i love this team. i watch this video like everday

  • waaaaaaw

  • their technique is nice but they need new planes and a cooler design, i think

  • agreaed

  • yea.. there very old crafts... they keep breaking down and killing them. i live in moosejaw myself and they arent very nice... and you only could get a ride in the snowbirds if your trained. or an exception of a family memeber

  • You should see the inside of the planes...looks like they came from 1950. Seriously very OLD aircraft.

  • u can ride in the jets of any airshow team if you aren't a part of the air force (thunderbirds, red arrows, blue angels, these guys, etc.) but u just have to be really famous lol

  • God this video makes me proud!

  • I would do, allmost, anything to get to ride the jet that follows them like that,,,, I allways have to sit on the ground and watch

  • it is like 80,000 dallors to get a ride i think

  • saskdevil you are right

canada's snowbrids beat the thunder brids in some ways

    same with the blue angles

but they can beat us too

  • yea we can get rides in the the us air force thunderbirds and the us navy blue angels and unlike your guys team we use super sonic jets and do crazy ass shit i dint know how good the snowbirds are but if your a real airplane fanatic you should see the thunderbirds and blue angels their amazing

  • thier ok but the tricks are not nearly as good they just go faster

  • if they go faster then you couldn't see them; they'd pass u before you could see the trick

  • my dads a snowbird pilot snowbird 9 lead solo

  • I know its possible for Americans to get rides with the Blue Angels..oh which I didn't see video clips to the left of this comment lol, Dale Earnhardt handles it with ease, but yeah I honestly wouldn't mind taking a ride with either aerial team, under conditions of not going over 6G's lol,

  • does anyone know if you can get a ride in a snowbird?

    if its possible

  • who-hoo

    lets watch those planes!

  • 9 seems like too many to fly. Like, at that point, you start to take them for granted.

  • the reason they are the best is in part to do with the older aircraft allowing much easier manovers at much slower speeds.

    plus there canada's best!!

  • And the fact that they fly with 9 aircraft at a time! very few aerobatic squadrons fly with so many planes at once!

  • I'm going up flying with them in 2 days so I will try and get some video while we are doing some aerobatics!

  • ITs amazing the grace they fly with, I wish I was a pilot with them.

  • These guys really are the best

  • I especially like the double barrel cross. Freakin sick!

  • Its insane. It blows my mind. But I love the sheer beautiful simplicity of the maple burst. From the ground, looking up, it brings a tear to my eye everytime.

  • Sad news today, as #2 plane crashed in Montana killing Pilot.

  • Awesome video - The snowbirds truly are the best in the world!
