  • Why don't they sniff the CO2 outgassing from the oceans?

  • @JonThm is plants took in all of mans co2 emmisions, then that would mean that if we stopped producing co2, about a quarter of the earths plants would die. plants take in co2 during photosyntesis, and emit an EQUAL amount during respiratiom and decay. anyway the mauna lowa researce station has measured the increase of co2 livels, look it up

  • Computer models cannot accurately predict these things, the earth and it climate are too complex for all the computers on earth to model accurately. Fuck off you dumb eggheads, I'm a high school drop-out and I know this.

  • If is teh free CO2 in the air that matters - green plants ahve taken in all man's CO2

  • great video. a soundtrack and professional narrator would make it even better. consider using a multimedia production company for professional quality.

  • That's too funny! Seems that a KMZ file isn't offered on Purdue's website...and ONLY from the flyby, even visually, you can see errors...like the opening seconds...look at the northern tip of Maine! Aroostook county only has like, 35,000 people for a population, yet it is colored like it's Phoenix-of course, since you can't get hold of the KMZ to inspect the data closer, I guess you can claim anything you want. Let's not forget about classified Loring AFB there! US Govt got a big footprint!

  • By the way...how DOES Purdue handle classified locations? Like Nellis AFB? Loring AFB (which has been formally 'closed' since 1995...yet guaranteed, burns up more JP5 & JP8 Fuel than the QE2 at full steam, even today!) So...if you aren't TOLD about the millions of gallons of jet fuel used, how do you KNOW you are correct? How about the lies from industry...when they are burning fuels double-time 'off-the-clock' (non-prime-time-hours), often not reporting it?

  • AND...on third-thought...if a plane takes on 100,000 pounds of fuel...but only burns 1,000 of it at the airport it taxis at...and the rest is evenly distributed across the US, with Jet Stream Effect causing lateral drifts of CO2 and SO2, etc. to states otherwise not impacted by the launch...how does any of this data really mean anything? Did San Diego really have that big of a CO2 footprint? Calif. polution actually polutes Arizona, etc.

  • Thank God that I did my Masters in Oklahoma...where they taught us to piss downstream, so it is your NEIGHBORS problem and not YOUR drinking water (should you try to piss upstream). LOL ... TOO MUCH!

  • @mountaindweller44 Not to mention of course how much CO2 is being consumed by local plant life and converted to oxygen....

OOPS! the "Green" movement seems to have forgotten that plants can't produce oxygen without consuming CO2. Way to go guys!

  • "Estimates"

    That word is so....so...Unscientific...lol

  • - '"what about the oxygen footprints?

  • How do you get to dis map?

  • good job peeps at purdue!

  • Yeah, cool, but please get a new speaker. His breathing and apathy make me want to cry.

  • This is a marvelous tool. I wish Canada will get the same evaluation technology.

  • agreed
