  • @reivenlocke I don't appreciate you calling me a "douchebag" that was pretty rude and mean and really uncalled for since I was only getting a good laugh from the lead singers vocals nothing more nothing less.

  • I really do miss you, B.

  • I LOVED this song in the mid 90s. Best song on the album.

  • this song always has me dying of laughter!!!!!

  • @MsMeowBaby

    Because you're a douchebag, maybe?

  • 1 person thinks the world is 6000 years old.

  • @jamjar1314

How old is it? Please let me know. I am assuming you are at least 6K years old. If not then you must be one of those "evolutionist religion" freaks that act as if you were there and know. No disrespect but you believe that all this is by chance? It just happened? Evolution is a religion that holds no water - just mans desire to be his own god. Read Genesis.

  • @Starbackermec bwahahahahahahahahahaha.....back to bed sunshine :D

  • @Starbackermec read genesis? is that on the fiction shelf?

  • @Starbackermec The same scientific method which led to the creation of the computer you're writing this on is also the same method they used to work out the age of the Earth. Ie, SCIENCE. Sticking your fingers in your ears whilst singing LALALALALA doesn't invalidate the scientific method. It just proves you're a closed-minded sheep willing to believe in superstition over observable fact. Your loss, not mine.

Oh, and the Earth is about 4.5 billion years old. That is a tested scientific fact.

  • YELLOW IS HARDEST ON THE EYES

  • @rockerduff1231 but CTD is easy on the ears. balance in the universe.

  • @hackajim thumbs up

  • You know, I was 12 when I got this CD as my first owned album. After MMMM MMMM MMMM MMM, and God Shuffled His Feet, this song was the first one to strike me and always takes me back to that Christmas in 1993 :)

  • @fuckweed I was 11 when I got this cassette!! When I go back and listen to these songs I think wow I had quite mature musical tastes for an 11 year old lol. Then I remember that I liked Weird Al at that age too lol.

  • @Goobian u and me both

  • @fuckweed This was not my first album, but it was the first CD that I purchased.

  • @drmilhouse yeah, something along the same lines... was the first cd I owned but i didn't pay for it myself, unfortunately :( I had albums on tape and such, like recorded, but this was my first cd album. very nostalgic for me

  • this is some magical music that happened back when Nirvana and Snoop Doggy Dogg were squatting all over everything, blocking out the light.....don't get me wrong, I like them both, but they had '93 in a stranglehold....My favorite thing about this band was the blonde lady who played keyboards and sang backups....her harmonies make this song for me.....she had some 'angel pipes', for REAL!!.....

  • @fooberdoobs Yeah, and she was bloody hot. I'd like to swim in her ocean!

  • @fooberdoobs Her name is Ellen Reid. She has an album that she put out recently that was a solo project for her. She does sound beautiful AND she's even more beautiful in person than her pictures/videos. The album is good.

  • Never heard this before. Instantly pleased.

  • one word.... Evolution

  • non-belivers can be narrow minded too just look at the communist

  • @ufotruth100 Oh how true you are. Lord only knows how many times I've tried to discuss this with non-believers & show them that there is a middle ground upon which you can accept both science & belief in salvation. But alas they can just as hard headed as those who refuse to accept anything outside of Scripture itself. It's actually a rather sad commentary on how divided man can be, no wonder we can't live together in peace & harmony & remain divided by war & contention.

  • @ufotruth100 What has non-belief got to do with commmunism? And what has communism got to do with being narrow minded ?

  • Aaahhhh, the chords, the harmonies, the bassline... masterpiece. Still gives me goosebumps :)

  • @Gynie75 Yeah, Robert's bass always WAS amazing - and worked so well with Dorge's briliant drumming.

  • One of the best albums of the 90s!

Love it and I love the bass lines of this song!!! Fantastic!

  • I'm a Christian and I LOVE this song. Do I believe we come from apes or whatever it is? No. I do believe in evolution they are Christian Scientist that believe the same. But why ruin a really awesome and cool song debating something like this?!

  • @Lanivity "apes or whatever it is?" maybe you should try reading about the theory before you discredit it.

  • @raymond837 It's ok. I learned all about in public school. I think it's crap.

  • @pax80a The ones I know are, believe me

  • the crash test Dummies afre the shit!

  • I miss the crash test dummies. They did not sound like anyone on anything out there. This is the first song I heard from the on the 106.7 the Zepher in New Orleans. Glad they played them and I am glad I found them.

  • Charles darwin became a christian days before his death, it seems he was not totally convinced of his own theory, i,m not a christian myself as its too dogmatic and extreme 4 me, but contemplating darwins deathbed predicament , we can seehis doubts and dilemmas, i,m sure that god knows his own people and will undertake 4 them regardless of creed and dogmatics.

  • @oktobercat that claim has been debunked time and time again. its a very tired old claim.

  • "bugs and trees were your food then; no pyjamas or doctors" - this is effing random hey, i lolled. i actually didn't lol but i smiled. out loud.

  • i love this song, this album is perfect

  • Laci Peterson's alive being fed inside a zoo cage. The Martians got her.

  • geez I cant quit comming back to this song

  • Comment removed

  • the crash test dummies have peaceful music

  • "3158 West Buckeye Road, Phoenix Arizona" anagram-ciphers "Ape-dinosaur neck ray bewitched 4 doze & hoax".

  • I love how Crash Test Dummies combined the two "seperate" ideas of creationism and evolution and saw that they are not mutually exclusive and that they do fit together. I wish some of these die-hard christians who bash evolution could get that through their damned unchangable minds.

  • @OHWISEONE1996 Like they did between this song and God Shuffled His Feet

  • @OHWISEONE1996 Totally agree. I am religious and believe in evolution. Darwin was religious. At some point, you have to trust in blind faith when it comes to religion. Science cannot disprove religion if you actually believe. And religion should not need to be 100% in scientific proof. The Bible was written down by man. Maybe the translation is bad. Great post, ohwiseone1996.

  • @schupy81 I am so glad someone out there agrees with me!

  • @OHWISEONE1996 Wish granted, I have managed to reconcile the 2 into 1, though it took me a while to do so. I started on the scientific side though & when I came to believe I had MANY questions to contend with. But in time by much prayer & silent meditiation with God, he gave me satiafactory answers that I could personally accept & believe in, though only a few others share my opinion & I've often been held in contempt or judgement by those who don't. I simply say judge not unless ye be judged.

  • @OHWISEONE1996 you dont really have to worry about the Christians anymore its the Muslims you have to worry about now

  • @ufotruth100 I don't have to worry about any of them :)

  • @OHWISEONE1996 that's actually not uncommon in recent days. lots of christians just say that god was more ingenious than we ever thought since he built in evolution.

  • @redryan20000 But doesn't completly contradict the bible?

  • @OHWISEONE1996 I just love CTD... done. Brilliance, distilled. ;^)

  • @OHWISEONE1996 Im a christian and I have no problem with evolution. Science is still God's property. No reason why the garden of Eden wasnt another dimension, or a metaphor, for example.

  • I always get this album stuck in my head.

  • boooooo

  • great song!!!!!!!

  • yeah this song is too cool :)

  • One of my favorite songs from the All-Time Smart-Asses of rock. Who else would dare have a first line like, "When you go on camping trips..."? Answer: nobody is that brilliant or insidious.

  • we havent a clue. not me, not you, nor the ones that claims to see truth , not a picture nor a book, will provide of cosy nook, of the truth in which we all desire, the purpose, big, small, lower, or higher, but despair not of the absence of knowledge, rather cheer up for the presence of curiosity, however form you take that to be. - Stefan Scholick

  • it is a good song i do belive in evolution but there could be a god too i dont think that just because evolution is true that there is no god or some kind of intelligent design behind evolution.

  • 5 stars from me... it's a very beautiful song... it's from 93 or 94, i think... anyway, i love it... And, it's a good one for those who believe in priests, chirsts and other deads :) ... SEE IN THE SHAPES OF MY BODY, LEFTOVER PARTS FROM THE APES AND MONKEYS.... very sweet...
