....except that this program is absolutely WORTHLESS. When it works, it is AWESOME, I enjoy practicing on my Ipad with it. The only thing that is guaranteed is that it will CRASH 100% of the time, I am not even kidding. Or it will give you the Low Memory error for no reason and then it will act very glitchy.

It's a complete shame bc when it works, it is AMAZING, but since it doesn't..... SAVE YOUR MONEY. You've been warned!

The only bad thing about the app is the music stops when you spin the record. Other than that, it's fun to use.

While I'm here... cueing requires you to mono the output through a crappy breakable adaptor? Jesus, that's embarrassing. Not even two stereo outs? No split cues? No kills? Only two channels? You are going to need a mixer for any slot that requires a microphone, in which case you may as well use a more flexible, robust system (digital, laptop, dual CD or vinyl).

This stuff is fun for the bedroom. Some commenters, however, seem to be under the impression that it might be usable by actual DJs.

This is a cool toy to play around at home, but it is evident, by the specs and by the video that "real" competitive DJing that people pay to see would be difficult to pull off with this app and the ipad. Give it a few years though (and a bigger touch surface?)

djay allows me to experience my music like I never before! It's a great tool to my existing equipment. Since I recieved djay for iPad I now scratch at night in my bed instead of in my studio. My wife feels safer at night cause I'm in bed with her. And I can now help my kids with their homework and go to school plays while scratching and mixing. Technics! but heres the catch... panasonic pulled the plug on making technics so if you dont get a pair b4 then its gonna be hard to get them now... that is why i said cd turntables.. plus i have both a pair of technics 1200 and denon dn-s3700 and the denon feels as close as wax that any other cd will ever get.
