  • amazing song! check out my cover which was made using everyday objects?

  • the mics are misplaced, the crowd can cheer of course.

they just didn't get it. neither do You, also the band made a mistake : (

  • can the crowd shut the fuck up? THanks

  • Lucky motherfuckers got to touch thom's hand!

  • Was I the only one who tought this was filmed on 1993?

  • @Taladroxx89 the album this song was on was released like a year or 2 ago

  • 10/4 time sig

  • @kalsikum 3/3 you piece of crap

  • @comedyman94the2nd you cocksucking gay motherfucker.

  • @comedyman94the2nd

sorry to break it to u mate but its 5/4 not 3/3... now your the piece of crap

  • @Allanbxr oh didnt mean 3/3 haha meant 5/4

  • I love Radiohead. In Rainbows all the way baby!

  • you listen to my cover of 15 step. i'm going to upload a video showing how to play it in a couple days.

  • jjaajajajaj

  • how was this filmed? static webcams? I'd like to know the method. It was streamed live too. Anyone shed any light on the technique?

  • he he he good save, Thom

    (3:36)

  • @fuzzvid This was one of the first times they've played this live wasn't it? hah I love how jammy this is. It would be so cool to be able to see radiohead like this in a small club.

  • Valla señor temazo. La cancion mas hermosa q yo he oido en años

  • And I owe it all to this video

  • hahahahaha

  • an*

  • MatthewCarsonIsALoser*

  • Does anybody know the name of the song played in the first 3 seconds? I know its a long shot, but recognize it from somewhere.

  • sounds like a song from the madness lol

  • bob marley - concrete jungle

  • weird time signatures, use of other chords then G, Em, C and D (like G#maj7 and D#) and unusual instruments...a few more reasons why i love radiohead!!

  • it's also in a weird time signature, 5/4

  • Ahh that would be right. I was trying to use a sample of it in a song that i was working on and I just couldn't get it to fit. Barsteds. Bloody good song though

  • try using a 5/4 time sig. :)

  • Naa doesn't work for techno. You really need to use a 4/4 or else all the drugged up clubbers get lost.

  • you are so lucky!!!

    i haven't seen them yet...

  • this is the first video of them i've seen where thom goes off a little... :_(

  • If anyone out there is named Ben. Please come foreward. There's a girl trying to find you.

  • It is 5/4 but it almost sounds like 4/4 but a longer first beat. Gives the music a swinging sensation.

  • it's not like they don't mess with the time signature fairly often, Pyramid Song is very weird time signature wise, morning bell is in a weird one too. Think let down has a guitar but that's deliberately not in time iirc

  • Plus the first section of 2+2=5 is in 7/8, and in Paranoid Android they keep going into that 7/8 riff when Johnny solos.

  • He has truly amazing vocal skills

  • The best song I have ever heard...

  • I'm wondering if they woke up a morning thinking 'hey, let's write a 5/4 signature song' or they just wrote this song and then said 'WTF ? it's 5/4 !" ...

  • what does that mean

  • it's most likely that they wrote it then they went like oh look it's 5/4. They're not really a math rock band.

  • i really dont think so

  • i love radiohead!!!

  • Comment removed

  • This is in 5/4, not 4/4. They make it flow well enough to where it sounds like a regular time signature.

  • yeh mistake, but far out how well did thom go, man i would have stopped singing. He recovered so well he actually started singing something different - thats awesome.

  • i LOVE that little bass lick

  • what the hell time signature is this beautiful shit

  • It's in 5/4.

    Relatively straightforward.

  • No it's not.

  • quite clearly 5/4

  • definitivamente 5/4

  • desculpem minha ignorância, mas o que vem a ser 5/4 ?

    obrigado ;)

I'm sorry, but can anyone explain me what is 5/4

    Thanks ;)

  • it's a time signature. 5 beats per bar. Each beat is worth a quarter note. THing is pretty much 80% of music is 4/4 so anything outside of it seems unusual and i think u can hear that off beat tone in the song.

  • oh yeah!!!!!!! sick song~~~~!

  • "15 Step" is such a melodic wonder. "In Rainbows" is yet another masterpiece from the Oxford Quintet.

  • really good live presence, they look like they're having fun

  • i wish i was there

  • A big mistake :D

    Nobody is perfect x)

  • anybody notice a mistake at around 3:36, in which the outro comes out too early?

    good performance

  • why the thumbs down.. it's true ppl! shit, even radiohead makes mistakes.

  • where the fuck is ed! great band.

  • thom is picasso

  • holy shit

first album i ever heard was in rainbows.

then i got the bends, then ok computer, then kid a, then amnesiac. i have never seen them live till now and i feel copmpletely in love with anything to do with this group of musicians.

  • yeah ha that's what it was like with me, i had ok computer for a bit...then eventually i heard theyre were releasing in rainbows for free pretty much, so i downloaded it (may as well, it was free), I got hooked on that. Listened to ok computer, then I pretty much grabbed all of their other albums and got completely addicted. Big inspiration to me, especially as far as playing intruments. They're my favourited artist now.

  • I WANT TO BE THERE RIGHT NOW

  • paaaaaaaaaaaaauraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • lol @ thisonetimeshutup

    GO RADIOHEAD

  • i like the small stage..i love this perfomance.

  • great song.... the stage looks a little small

  • shake it thom!!!

  • thom yorke is the best dancer in the world...haha i love him

  • The song is a lot better on the album version. The drums don't sound too great live. Still an amazing song though!

  • That's just because of the sound here.

If you go and see them live, the drums sound incredible.

Or watch the performance in the basement or on Jools.

  • they sound perfect live way better than the albums especially the percussion and thoms voice, this is just a video.

  • uno por uno

  • up the republic

  • I saw them 9 days ago in Montreal..They also opened with 15 Step, Thom was all over the place and Jonny was crazy that night.

  • O yes I was there at Montreal in the second row, my God the best night of my life

  • is by any chance

johnny grenwood sampling himself during the chorus of the song so in the end the warped part is his guitar backwards and through a lot of effects?

  • Just saw them last night. So amazing!!!!Especially this song!!!

  • a performance by musical God's? why confused?

  • They opened with this in Cleveland the other day,and Thom was going crazy just dancing all over the stage. Energy was amazing.

  • i could listen to this song on repeat forever.

  • seeing them tonight at lola

  • man i'm psyched! I get to see these guys in 6 days!!!

  • I envy you! But have a great gig! :)

  • best fucking band in the whole fucking world XD

  • damn I hope they play the whole In Rainbows album plus the good old classics at lollapalooza

  • my GOd he doe a PERFECT JOB LIVE!!!! most of the artists really suck when they sing live...but this man its amazing!!

  • RADIOHEAD!!!! FUCK YEAH!!!!!

    Fuking LOVE EM!!!!

  • amazing. if ever the world gets you down for any reason, music such as this is enough to make you realise there is beauty in the world.

  • grandiiiiiiiiiiii

  • Makes my head think

  • i LOVE this song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nothing is better than radiohead

  • you're right about that mate

  • indeed

ill be fortunate enough to see them live tomorrow in barcelona

  • didnt realize but this is actually a good song live

  • Is this in London then?

  • such a solid drum beat.

one of the most danceble radiohead songs.

  • I thought the improv modulation worked. Sounded awesome.

  • gods...

  • yeah yeah yeah! allez vivement le 9 juin a Paris!! hihihi

  • little amazing perform of a band who is really renewed, big and still growing.. insane and addictive to me :O

  • cool band, absolute !!

  • I love Johnny, he is an amazing musician and doesn't get enough credit.

  • plasmashaft123: I love Johnny, he is an amazing musician and doesn't get enough credit.

Maybe not like Hedrix, but it's cool that he's still king of the underground.

Amazing tremolo solo at the end, and lovely distorted bass by Collin.

    Fuck, so good.

  • he is a fucking good guitar player

  • guys, I dont know why people just dont say johnny is the most amazing guitar composer ever in pop music.

  • Johnny is the most amazing guitar composer ever in rock music.

  • no doubt radiohead's the best group in the world

  • putain ouai!

  • putain ça déchire ça c'est d'la musique! des vrais artistes comme je les aime

  • Wow. Thom scatted a lot. That is really awesome.

  • This is an amazing track, my 2nd favourite opener of all Radiohead albums. Airbag being number 1 of course.

  • I agree 100%!

  • this is better than airbag but paranoid android is better than bodysnatchers as much as i luv body

  • completely agree

  • That bass sounds fucking sexy

  • hahaha

  • Yes, it's amazing because it's Thom!! :)

  • amazing bass. amazing song.

  • wow. amazing

  • The best live band, great intensity, great songs...hope they play "airbag" on europe festivals this summer!!!

    wait...wait...wait =)

  • excelente

  • haha fuck ringtones

  • Concrete Jungle!!!

  • where is 93 east

  • i love how they slightly screw up at the end then thom just puts it right back on track :D

  • By far...the coolest band working today.

  • Merci pr cette superbe vidéo!

  • im a very big radiohead fan, and i dont say this in an attempt to disarm arcade fire fans, but im sorry, arcade fire just seem like background music compared to these guys, but each to there own i suppose.

and that song from the Lakia skate vid is the only song worth listening to from arcade fire.

hey just expressing my feelings giggity

  • I am a big fan of arcade fire and radiohead, But i don't think they are at competition with each other for fans, let alone any band, its not like they are brand names.

  • Yeh there not really in the same category of music...The Arcade Fire seem to produce very different music...

  • Thanks for reminding us all that music is a big contest...

  • insightful.

  • no cars go is not the only good arcade fire song the whole funeral album is pretty good

  • all of their songs are really good.

  • I also realized the irony of spelling genius wrong twice

  • Arcade Fire are genious. And big radiohead fans by the way. No Cars go is actually my least favorite song by them, both their albums are genious though... as is Radiohead

  • Radiohead's finaly playing in Toronto ive been waiting so long, as soon as there on sale im buyng em

  • !son unos genios!

  • maybe good song for fucking

  • yeeeeeaah hhaha! thats rite mate

  • They did actually say that most of the songs on the album were seduction songs.

  • venezuela los espera...!

  • ojala que puedan venir a Argentina. Algún día se tiene que dar

  • I love them in live so much!!

Would they play in Japan this year? If so, and if I could buy one of the remaining tickets luckily, I MUST be in the FIRST ROW in the Tokyo's or Osaka's show! Yeah!!!

I am a die-hard radiohead fan! Really, I live for radiohead.

  • Come on man, Colin has to be the greatest bass player ever. His bass just sings through every radiohead's songs.

  • especially this song has a very fine bass line

  • Phils drumming compliments the songs perfectly. Thom and Johnny are very experimental with electronic sounds and drum beats, this is evident in Thoms solo work, but Phil is a solid force in Radiohead. You have Johnny and Thom giving Radiohead such an experimental edge I feel Phil and also Colin help gel their creative experiments together and contibute to an excellent rhythm section live.

  • I WAS THERE!!!!

    Experience of a lifetime

  • So jealous. I've seen them live 3 X's but it's been awhile

  • I'm seeing them in June. Could you tell me what to expect?!

In rainbows is pretty hot damn good.

  • They're the best live show I have ever seen. The music and lighting is great. Make sure you listen to the bonus disc with In Rainbows. I have a feeling they'll play some of those too. ie: Last Flowers, Down is the New Up, Up On a Ladder

  • cool...cheers! But I didn't get a bonus disk in my copy of in rainbows!

Looks like i'll have to download...thanks anyway - looking forward to it! Who knows, maybe it will compare with arcade fire?!

  • You can listen to them here on You Tube

  • mate your a legend, arcade fire and radiohead, my 2 favourite bands, seen arcade fire live twice in glasgow, absolutely amazing, seein radiohead for the 1st time in june can't wait !!!! how good are arcade fire live?? although radiohead are in a different league as a band, so amazing, it's like listening in to something you shouldn't really be hearing !

  • arcade fire are fuckin amazing live! really wanna see them again, but their taking a break out at the mo. My first time for radiohead too in june in london, gonna be mental. I actually prefer AF to radiohead, but it probs just needs time...

    cheers

  • good stuff, any idea when Arcade Fire are bringing out their next album? you're right radiohead does need time, listening to Arcade Fire it clicks right away, feels like the band i've been waiting on all my life lol !

  • tru,

we shouldn't really see anything from arcade fire till at least like 2009 or 2010 - i think they're taking a well deserved rest. Hope they play some gigs again this summer - maybe they'll even do secret gigs, or gigs 'radiohead' style, such as this one.

radiohead will probs play reading too tbh lol

  • can anyone tell me, PLEASE, the order of the tracks in this concert????

  • look at the tracklisting of in rainbows mate :D

  • lucky people, wish i was there!

  • This song is fucking amazing!

  • I don't feel phil gets enough praise for the crazy beats etc in radiohead songs, some songs are a mind feild of time signatures. can't wait for friday on later

  • Maybe that's because Jonny and Thom do the majority of the drum programming. If it's electronic 9 times out of 10, it's not Phil.

  • But it isn't electronic 9 times out of 10.

  • Take In Rainbows for example, the drum machine is used only at the very beginning of 15 Step and at the end of Videotape. The rest is all Phil's drumming.
