  • How did you managed to shoot 3 pics with different exposures every 5sec(for example) via EOS Utility?I tried and it shoots -3 at 5sec,0 at 10sec and +3 at 15sec.Thanks!

  • hehehe, you've been there, Khoasarn road.

  • Photomatix 4.1 lets you batch process Canon RAW files and outputs at 16bit

  • the eos utility sees the 350d, but says "To use this function, set the [Communication] of the camera to [PC connection] and reconnect."

Camera menu offers no such option nor is there any other buttons on the body. any ideas? much much appreciated. love your videos sir. awesome. thanks. new zealand

  • GREAT VIDEO!, how to make it move during the time lapse, was there a tracker or something?

  • Cool tutorial, I love it. Unfortunately, the problem of the BatchTM in the 2.0.2 was I big mistake I made! We fixed that in the 2.1.0 and we have now a new BatchHDR in the 2.2.0, which will make your life much easier in this kind of postprocessing!

    Best,

  • @rockerD82 Wow, thanks a lot! I will soon try it out as my new project is completely made of Luminance HDR Timelapses! Can't wait to show you the final.

  • @killerwalcom Looking forward to see the result, I am really curious!

BTW, I featured this video on the Facebook page: I hope you don't mind.

  • Hi there, I have a canon T3i 600D and I would like to know the best settings for indoor video shooting. I really like the quality and sharpness of your video. What sort of settings are you using on the camera and also what type of lighting are you using?

  • @sonicwebaustralia Hi, do you mean for normal video shooting or HDR Timelapses? For video use always the manual exposure mode, lock your shutter speed to 50 and set your ISO to the lowest possible. For outdoor start using 100 or 160, indoor may require 640 and up.

The aperture you use depends on your lens.Check the 50mm f1.8 so maybe you don't need a an external light source. If you need one, search a LED Video light at ebay

  • @fagerstrandaren I made this with the Pan&Crop menu of Sony Vegas. This effect is called "Ken Burns"

  • How did you accomplish the timelapase pan on the video at the end of the tutorial?

  • excellent!

  • @nufto thx

  • overlight on background dude,

  • @wonjuninlondon yip^^

  • Which canon software did u use.whats the application?

  • @101magician1 It's called "Canon Utility" and it's part of every Canon DSLR

  • More realistic than reality itself:)LOL....But nice video anyways.

  • @phillozoph50 Thx!

  • Cool Vid Man. Hey I got a netbook , how do you load the Canon Software on the netbook that dosnt have a cd-drive. And what operating system do you need , currently i have Linux OS.

  • @ClatteredTorso I copied the whole canon-cd onto my SD-Card on another pc with a cddrive. So I can install the canon software on every netbook without any drive. I'm using Windows so I can't give you any advice about Linux. :)

  • I opened lightroom, imported photos in it and now.....I can't find that selection 25fps timelapse video etc. please help :( I have just 30 days to make some time lapse videos... :/

  • @KrabbyOne1 Hi! Please visit: gwegner.de/lightroom-video-export-vorlagen/ There you'll find some presents which provide you export options as a 25fps slide show. Sorry, thie page is in german, but use google translator to install the files. Works great for me!

  • @killerwalcom Thanks a lot ! :)) Helped me so much good job !

  • @KrabbyOne1 hi there, there are templates you can import into the template folder in Lightroom look after timelapse , Lightroom in google…you will find the page soon! good luck

  • Realy good tutorial thanks

  • Thats a nice tutorial. I will try this soon.

  • Thank you for informing me about some good software and hardware. You really helped out.

    -MyVlogger

  • @MyVlogger Hi, it's the Tamron 10-24mm UW lens. Very affordable and good lens! It's my favorite on citytrips.

  • @killerwalcom Thanks :)

  • This is awesome. Thanks.

  • ich komme aus holland aber ich lebbe in san francisco. noch eine frage. do you shoot everything in manual including manual focus??? help are you on facebook

  • Help i want to do this on my ti2. How many shots should I take.? If they are raw how many? I got an 8mp pro card. So you bracket and if i time for 5 secs then I would get 3 shots every 3 sec?

  • Damn nice vid, really like it! But have a question, though. I'm using the 550D with EOS Utility where I set the time interval between the shots to 6s. AEB is set to -2/0/2 and rest is configured manually but my cam shots all 6s a pic instead of shooting all 6s 3 times (-2/0/2). How did you do that?

  • Ah that German sense of humor... Priceless... xD

  • cool vid

  • Hey, warte kommst du aus Deutschland? Dein Englisch klingt so :D

  • @killerwalcom One of the few things I remember from Deutsch Klasse, Wie Geht's! Ich komme aus de USA!

  • how did you make it in a motion timelapes could you explain how you made that smooth motion

  • @amirborhani For this effect I used the "Pan/Crop" menu in my NLE "Sony Vegas". So it's possible to lower the video size and move the frame from left to right. As DSLR picture have a great resolution, much larger than 1080p, you won't loose any quality by panning.

  • nice... I've just begun doing some simple HDR's and some even more simple time lapse, HDR time lapse sounds really crazy :I

  • how do you get lightroom to allow 25 fps in a slideshow, the view time only allows for maximum of 10 frames a second

  • @nickillerocks Go to this website gwegner.de/allgemein/zeitraffer-lightroom and download the lightroom templates. These are modified for a 15/25/29,97 fps slideshow, so you get a ready-to-publish video after saving in LR

  • You look like a pro HDR Timelapse Video producer.

Thanks for to share this remarkable video.

  • How did you create the HDR photos? Did you have to do them one by one in Photoshop?

    Very nice video!

  • @elmer3288 I use Luminance HDR to create the HDR files. It's a free software, simply google the name. And yes: You have to edit every single image in a program of your choice. Luminance HDR _has_ a batch mode, but it's very buggy. On my computer it always fails after rendering four images and it's limited to a width of 400px. No a useful tool right now.

  • Great! Nice and simple :)

  • does this wear out the mirror drive motor?

  • @picaticatara I never lost a mirror motor or a shutter during my shots :) My 400D survived by now ~40k shot, so I dont think timelapsing will shorten your camera's lifetime. On my 60D I always shoot in the LiveView-Mode, so the mirror will swing up and stay there for the whole cycle. This will drain out your battery faster, but it's a lot more silent shooting.

  • This was made with the "pan & crop"-Tool of Sony Vegas. You can specify two keyframes and crop the image and move it a little bit, which realizes a pan-effect in the final product.

  • @killerwalcom Hey man thanks. But can u tell me more bout using a shutter remote to do time lapse? How much space do i need? How to set that function on the cable? etc. Kindly appreciated

  • @RadicalEditing The shutter remote is very easy to use: Simply start the EOS Utility and hit the button in the middle with a little stopwatch on it. If you have an external Canon timer and no laptop, hit the "Mode" Button and switch to the intervall-mode.

Then select the intervall in seconds and start the countdown.

  • @killerwalcom Oh thank you soo much. Also. how many interleave would you recommend?

  • Hey, how did you pan the final edit?
