i've ridden a ski doo. it was a long time ago so i'm not sure what it was but it was x-eptionally good better than the polarisi have also ridden but i also like yahama before 2004 (their 2 strokes) expeccially the black widdow

Ski doos rule. The first snowmobile was invented in Canada and all others are just following tring to copy Skidoo. Just too many americans tring to be loyal to machines made in their own country even if they are crap !!!

I blew up my MXZ 440 x last season. Kinda got sick of two strokes because all it takes is a clogged carb to fry a cylinder......but now if they are making injected two strokes, it makes two strokes a lot more appealing.

I'm just not a fan of all this rider forward crap..I like to stretch out when I'm riding not be riding on my balls..I'm sure its fine for aggresive riding though

theyre talking about the chassis, and using physics models and the program the engineers design them in Solid works runs strength and flex simulations, etc, etc.

By the way, I had a phazer and it was an under powered POS. It did sound cool, and have good throttle response though.. But that's about it.

@jleblanc69 They probably meant lightest in it's class, like the 1200 4 stroke ski doo is lighter than the yamaha nytro by 50 lbs and lighter than the apex by like 100 lol Them Apex's are heavy as hell, though they do have good top end, im guessing the phazer is a 500 so the ski doo 600 e tec 4 stroke is probably ocmparable weight.

its sad because there videos on there home page used to brag about how 2-stroke motors were better and now they are switching to 4-stroke, I own a ski-doo and i love it but its funny on how they realized that 4-stroke motors are better

lol 4 stroke motors arent very much better.... there a straight up pain in the ass!!! i work as a fishing guide n ontario , 10 hours a day aabout 70 days a year, yeah thats 700 hours on a motor A YEAR!!!! so we have been using mercury 25 hp 2 stroke outboards for like 5 years, and they are amazing!!! then we get a demo of a 25 hp 4 stroke merc.... expctations were high and mighty but in the end we sent it back. there just Way the fuck to heavy we jumped from a 114 lb motor to a 212 lb motor

@BLUEPHAN7OM They aren't necessarily saying 4 strokes are better now, they are just offering choices, which is very smart because you can have the best of both world's for instants the 1200 ski doo 4 stroke has 130hp compared to 160+ hp of the 800 2 stroke but 4 strokes cost less to operate due to better mileage and no oil consumption and usually last twice as long. on the other hand if all you want is to haul ass there's the good ol 2 stroke.

Yeah, you are right, everything today ios faster than skidoo, but skidoo got the lightest. Ive heard the MXZ 800R on the XP chassis only tops at about 100-110 mph.
