@kaya119 The answer to that is two-fold: First, there are many different types of witches... each has their own innate mechanism for using magic. Second, certain spells have certain requirements attached to them. For example: Samantha has to say some spells AND twitch her nose.... and Tabitha has to physically force her nose to twitch. This isn't something I made up: this is explained throughout multiple episodes.

Well , well, BeWitched, does indee, bring back so many good memories. Yes, I too, concur, that Aunt Clara, played by ( Marion Lorne Mac Dougall ) is one of my favorite people from this TV show. I can not believe she was born in Aug. 12, 1883, wow to think she was 81 years old when she started this TV show, until the age of 85 She was born in West Pittston, Pennsylvania. She being of both Scottish and English descent. She won an Emmy in 1968 and was even in the movie The Graduate in 1967.
