Rather weird track, but like it a lot! Typically a song you need to hear more than once to form an opinion. I like the combination of the groovy piano-riff with the moody synth-part floating on top of it, with trippy bass- & drumfills thrown in for good measure. Excellent!
@STEVEL361 Lol i feel the same way myself! Thanks for subscription just started to post my own stuff on Youtube its good to hear like minded peoples work. Listened to some of your other stuff sounds good. Keep it up :)
@markyb19714 Thanks. Look forward to hearing more of your music soon. You should check out Synthsound1 ( see my subs ). He does fantastic covers and great original music too. He uses a Korg M50 as you do. I had one briefly but unfortunately it went wrong after a couple of weeks.
A Different sound for you here, has an Ultravox sort of feel to it, i said that before reading your description ,that can only be a good thing.Nice work.
@Synthsound1 Thanks. I started going back through some old ideas I'd done on the JW 50. If I found a riff, bassline or drumbeat I liked I saved it on disc for a later date as something to work on. This was the first thing I found this morning and in a short while I'd built up something I was pretty pleased with.
@STEVEL361 Funny ive been finding some old stuff too.And some of that is giving me new ideas,i even found an old tape i did over 10 years ago very rough with old weak synths, but some of the melodys are catchy,i might use them for new ideas.
@Synthsound1 I've actually got some old audio cassettes of stuff I did probably twenty to twenty five years ago when I had a Moog Prodigy, Boss Dr Rhythm and ARP Solus ( all mono synths..chord.. whats a chord ?..hahaha ).It's really basic stuff before my "career" got in the way for far, far too many years. Thankfully that's( the career ) now history..
@STEVEL361 Wow drool A moog Prodigy and Arp,hahaha yeah but with synths like that who needs chords,i mean all of the synths used on The pleasure principle didnt do chords but the fat sounds dont need them.I been into synths on and off for a lot of years too, the last few years i got back into it did a few years piano lessons etc,but these days im addicted lol.
@Synthsound1 I know...I wish I'd kept them now. Just checked one of the tapes...looks like my first attempt was actually 1981 !!! If I can get a decent recording I might upload it...although I had no real idea what I was doing, I wish I had piano lessons....my sister got that one. On a positive note, my daughter's decided she wants piano lessons...maybe she can teach me..hahaha.

Very interesting and unique piece here Steve....Nice pace to it really makes it work well. The dropped in arps are a nice touch.
