@vergilheartnet It's convoluted. But in the continuum, Banner became the Grey Hulk to begin with, at night only. It was treated in a somewhat similar way to the werewolf myth. But then he began to suffer a split personality syndrome due to his issues surrounding his abusive father and the childlike green hulk persona gradually came into being and then became the dominant hulk. That's the reason certain lady characters like the green hulk - because it reminds them of a little kid.
