That's right, there's never a guarantee that a short sale will close and there's only so much that can be done to expedite the process. Making sure that nothing falls through the cracks, as you say, is the most important thing. Problem is, for those who don't know what they're doing, there's an awful lot that can fall through those oh so many cracks!

Truth is, there are several steps and you have to prepare yourself for a long process and make sure nothing falls thru the cracks along the way.
