I got to say this, i like Arin very much but one thing he and Portnoy couldnt do as well as the Rev is the fills or whatever drummers call them to quiet parts so that other bandmembers know when to start playing again. For example in this video the fill that the Rev plays at 04:25 is just fucking awesome, it suits so well into the song. A similar cool fill is in the live in the LBC version of Afterlife. Arin and Portnoy just aren't so smooth in the quiet parts

My opinion is that he screams in waking of Fallen just not to be a big shock from music styles. They went softly from Metalcore to Heavy Metal.
