What's left for Health Care Reforms ?
Do it in small steps. First, write (a short) bill that does not sideline all Republicans, include Tort Reforms and Consumer Protection: "No private insurer shall deny or drop coverage".
If it was up to Obama, we'd have some kind of non-profit - or Govt. option exchange that would be able to cross state lines with the same rules for everybody. So don't say it's his fault it doesn't lower costs. As far as the drug companies go, I don't know where he stands on that. He cut a deal with the drug companies for senior citizens, but it didn't really help us. By the way all those Dems killed that bill, I think he knew from the start he didn't have his party on-board, or the Republicans.
You're right, the bill is a watered down piece of shit. But it didn't start out that way. And the Republicans - and some Democrats too, wouldn't go for it because the insurance companies couldn't compete. Maybe if they gave up their 20 million dollar bonuses they could fucking compete. And you think Obama has all this power when he doesn't have shit. He's left accepting table scraps to get something passed because he knows both sides don't give a flying fuck about the people.
The only reason why people voted for Brown was because the Republicans pushed months of propaganda and people were scared. And they got away with it because Obama fucked up by doing all these back-room deals when the people wanted to know what as going on.
Sure Mr McCain, the Dems will come over and adopt the Republicans healthcare - when hell fuckin freezes over. Obama already tried working with you shit-bags and it was your way or the highway. And the first thing out of McCain's mouth today was capping malpractice lawsuits. Another free-ride for some shit-bag insurance company. Whatever cost it saves us will be back in 6 months.
