Sorry I must disagree with some of your statements in this video..
If a student asks to fly the 44... let them.. it will build confidence, when they have mastered the basics... then take them back to the manual flight controls of the 22
This vid just got me psyched up!!!! I can't wait, i'm starting school in Prescott az this january and the r22 is what i'll be learning in. The q/a after the flight was great info.
I really want to know how you started to fly Michael. Were you in the military? Is there a way to soften the blow of flight school? I'm very interested in flying... Any info/help is greatly appreciated.
Nice video. Congratulations on flight school. I've tried for 20 years to get into W.O.F.T. at Rucker, but my 20/400 vision kept me out. So, I got my commercial helicopter license August 2nd 2011. I had laser surgery, but turned 40 on Labor Day so I'd need a miracle to get an age waiver. Keep up the good work. I am a Sergeant stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Take care and fly safe! SGT V
Still counting down the days until I finish school and can start my flight lessons like I have been for the last 5 years. Only one more year to go. :)
Had a similar feeling after I completed my instrument. I had been out of the 22 for 3 months. It felt like a plastic toy helicopter when cabot back in it. But I felt it out and everything came flooding back. Working on commercial now and I love doing my 180* autos over straight ins.
I miss your videos. I wish we could get some of you in the Ranger. You're one lucky guy. I wish I could FLY for a living. Keep up the good work and please try to post more videos.
Yes... just like I remember when I was in flight school back in late 1998 in Ft. Lauderdale. Good advice to Deb... but you'd know better than me of course since you're a licensed helicopter pilot... I just fly r/c helis now. ;)
