bla bla bla bla bla ......Sorry but I see so many people doing what he does , it is NOT extreordinary. I see horses playing with their owners each day , some even fetching sticks , rescued horses who trust again. That guy makes it sounds like he is the God to Horses or something .... please ...... taking advantage of naive middle aged women most often with their rescied stories ......
I suggest you go see some more videos of what he can do with horses and then come back to speak. I might not be the one to talk and yes I know there are million of good trainers out there but he has something special with horses...He understands them as if he was a horse too. That might sound crazy but that's what I believe.
@Horseriding4life i so agree :) i am using his methods and they really do work . i have got to know a lot of natural horseman and trying there ways, but i just cant seem to do it ,but with Klaus he has got me back down to earth with my horse and simply just getting to know my horse. i am so happy now and so is my boy :)
I read his books and saw the two videos years ago. They are definitely very appealing. I do use his leading methods and they do work. However, most people do not have 24/7 to spend with their horses to cultivate a relationship such as this. It is his means of living. He has become a clinician as the rest. He condemned using his information on horses for personal gain at the end of his second book, but does he himself not do this?
I was lucky experiencing Klaus and Janosch together several times. It was incredible to see such a pure and natural togetherness with a horse, even though Janosch was still not easy for others. Nobody else but Klaus could lead him, so the people helping in the stable had to lead the other horses and just let Janosch run free. Klaus on the other hand could direct him from far away just by talking to him. It was obviously neither the breed, nor the treats that made their relationship possible.
If an animal is truely well trained, it should be manageble for anyone under any circumstances. Thats called "solid training". Afcourse you can choose to train a horse on personal choosen specific cues (like Janosh), but it's discussable if that will contribute to the benifit of the horse... Only if the trainer can guarantee 100% to be the only one handling that horse, he might consider training a horse on specific personal cues. KH is abviously not the only one handling that horse....
What you perceive as "personal cues" couldn't be less personal. How can it be anything but beneficial for the horse if we build our communication on the language he was born with? And as far as "solid training" goes, what does manageable really mean? It is a lot to ask of a horse to blindly trust any human being with his life. It is against his nature. And if you demand this kind of obedience, some things will also be lost... These are horses, not dogs.
Janosch has a history as to why he wouldn't trust others then Klaus. Perhaps you might like to read his book Dancing with Horses to learn more about their relationship. ;)

now how do u use this on a blind horse??? lol I guess that is a little different, but really he can't see.

if a horse is blind , their other senses become more intuned and sensative.
A friend of mine has a blind arabian she does liberty with , all with her voice ( words and sounds )
It is possible , under the right circumstances and training.

Our quarter horses do this with my daughter-it is NOT the breed! It is the language of communication and a love for horses.

I just started "What Horses Reveal" and I already love it! Janosch is so cute! Another beautiful example of what can be achieved, thank you.
