I got past level 6 once, but I did not feel like doing the game again, because this is the hardest game I have ever played, and I only passed level 6 on normal mode. I can't imagine how hard it would be on realistic mode.

@williambrodd wiki the game and learn its plot, its in a universe were WW1 never ended and continued up to 1970s thats why trench tactics are still in use but computers and choppers co-exist.

The basis of this game is: What would it be like if WW1 lasted until the 1960's? There's a problem though, there are tanks, which alone made trench warfare obsolete, as well frikkin HELICOPTERS. So the first level makes no sense.

The problem with making World War One games is that world war one was largely fought in trenches. which wouldn't make for very good level design, however an interesting fact about WW1 is that in many places even the civillians fought, like farmers killing other farmers with pitchforks. If done right, it COULD be done, but I agree the WW2 concept has been done to death by call of duty and medal of honor games alike. (Even though I am a big medal of honor fan =P )

@Panzrcommander COD WW1 That would be great!!! one stage would be about 6 hours sitting in a mud, piss, and shit filled trench getting gassed with mustard gas all day. and then after 6 hours of just sitting there, you and your whole platoon jump out of the trench and run headlong into machine gun fire that kills everyone.... Then the next day... you do it all over again.

World War I never ended. The boxed copy of this game has a nice bundle of fake newspapers and journals that tell you all about the war from 1914 to 1964 (present time in the game).

There was no Hitler, but arguably something worse has taken his place in this game.

I don't get it man. Great old game, but... Your video seems kinda useless. Why even bother doing a walkthru of such an old game, you're not revealing any special techniques or speedthru tricks, just a walkthru. Maybe its just me, but I don't see the point. I rated it with 5 stars anyway cause' its so damn cool despite its nebulous reasons for being made.
