hahaha.... I love how defensive all the chevy guys get, no need to make excuses bow ties. there is no shame in getting beat heads up by one of Mopar's finest
lets see this again, but both cars need slicks. or at least actual traction, if you listen to the annoucer, the E.T. wasnt very far behind the Mopar who obviously had better traction. Both very badass cars tho, nicely done.
@ramblnman24 the mismatched wheels on the Bee was an intentional "look" the owner was striving for. tires on the back were L60x15's bias ply street tires. although in the chevelle's defense, the chevy had street radials which didn't hook nearly as well.
you guys need to do a search on pure stock muscle car drags. There is quite a few "certifid stock" LS6's and 6 pak's going in the 12's. My LS5 Car ran a 13.94 / 101mph. It's the 365 horse 454 4 speed with 3.31 gears. And that's on factory sized radials. It's all about the tuning. Mine is stock from the carb to the exhaust pipe. It's just been properly tuned.
@xlr8chevelle Those cars were all said to be so fast when in reality they werent that quick.I have a c6 z06 now but i use to have a 2001 4.6 mustang with 3.73 s and a cold air intake and ran 13.82 at 102.9 thats with 260 h.pThe new cars are so much faster and overall better performers ,there is no replacing technology.A/c ,handling and great braking make for lots more fun.
Looks like the mopars on slicks, they do recon stock muscle on slicks will go a whole second faster which may explain the difference...both beautiful cars!
@hedgecockt The M code A12 Dodge Super Bee's and the Plymouth Road Runners were the fastest *production* full bodied muscle cars, running 12.9 stock from the factory on thats polyglass tires back in the day. These cars can run in the 10's today with nice wheels and tuning and gears. These were stripped down, fiberglass hoods and more then the rated 375hp cars. The LS6 Chevelles were usually fully loaded. The fastest production muscle car that wasnt full body was the 68 SS Cuda - Dart SS 426 Hemi
again that chevelle was roasting tires and only went 13 flat, not even close to a good time for a ls6 dodge boy.

@hedgecockt No way that's an LS-6, if it was, the guy would be doing 12.9 passes with over 500 hp.
