Nicely done! Played this on the PC and this boss pissed me off so much. I bought a PC-360 controller for this game and I just couldn't beat this bastard. After losing it a few times I switched to my keyboard and mouse. To my surprise I beat him on my first attempt! I don't like using the controller when it come to accurately selecting the most damaging stuff to throw at him also doing the cannon ball attack is really easy to screw up.

my tactic was to grab a helicopter then shoot the fuck out of him worked well with following missiles do a fair amount of damage especially if its stunned

This is the hardest boss ever...

I was happy being a loser and hitting him with my tentacles from long range but those military jackasses had to launch their friggin nukes and start a timer...

This boss is currently pissin' me off on Hard.I actually like his approach.Actually,I wait until he does that ground spike thingy and with a timed jump I come down with my Blade then do silly combos.If I have energy I do my dumb devastator attack.Maybe that's why I'm stuck :(He loses energy,just not enough.I shall beat this Spreme Hunter Turd.Like right NOW!

Your definately taking a more dangerous approach to this boss then i did , the way i did this i ran around dodging the hunter while consuming a military unit every chance , used my devastator hopped on his back , rinse and repeat , only problem with this is near the end you have a time limit to kill him then i just used muscle mass , and threw anything i could find on the ship at him while following the original strategy i had. both ways seem to work but ur way leaves alot less room for error

Thanks for the tips... I actually used Musclemass and threw helicopters at him until the rest of the crew ran away then went toe-to-toe with him using blades and armor.

I use the whipfist for big guys because I can get 'em from a long distance. Once the time limit came up I just use it to grab things I could throw at him.

I find that using the musclemass fully upgraded with everything works very well. If you can pick up one of the hawks, not destroyed, and hurl it out him with a charged throw it will do alot of damage. Im not the type to go in and try to do hand to hand combat to that nut sucker.

i find that i good strategy for this 1 is run around and just throw stuff at him itll spare ur health but you might not be able to get him killed before the bomb goes off

In my opinion, just dodge his attacks with air dodge and do the Blade moving attack over and over combined with jumping on his back.

He is riddicously easy

this boss was a huge pain in the ass. maybe it's because i didn't try wearing the armor. i used the whipfist and shield at first; used the fist to grab and absorb marines to keep the devastators rolling out until i got him to the 3 minute mark, at which point i pulled out the blade and just melee'd him down.

i failed a few times, dude kept catching me in his consume and if a helicopter missile didn't knock me out of it with a missile it was usually death.

This was easy once I learned his pattern. I didn't bother too much with Devestators. Using teh Blade arm made this a lot easier if you ask me. Just chop chop chop till hes stunned, back off for his Dev. While He is charging it and preforming I chuncked bombs and shit at him, rinse repeat. Easy boss. Elizabeth Greene was harder, but that isnt saying much either. I was dissapoineted with this as the "final boss". Good game over all, very fun.

blissfulmisery: actually, the tendril barrage devastator does stun him. it happened a few times when i faced him. On a different note, I found this boss to be a bit of a joke. Since I had already faced a Supreme Hunter beforehand, I already knew how to face it. I found fighting Elizabeth Greene a bit more of a challenge

Anyone playing this on ps3 be aware that the devastator doesn't stun the beast. It's best to just run around and throw helicopters and bombs at him.

I tried the same tactic on normal on ps3 and died every time I released the devastator, because he keeps attacking while you are doing and just after as well. The only way to make sure he doesn't kill you is to diveroll away from him then quickly jump and double airdash.

Liked the narrative aspect of this game, how you develop the story through your own interest rather than being fored to watch endless cutscenes.

A little bit dissapointed overall,however, and just just felt that it doesn't give enough to keep me fully interested. Half of the powers I never used or needed to use (Infected vision for example). It isn't terrible but it isn't epic or groundbreaking.

Dude its not hard at all, heres a tip :) well not a tip just how i did it its pretty easy. Throw Helicopters until hes like at the last little bit of health, when hes stunne dof course get on him and punch him, then use your blade and finish him. Its how i did it. I beat the game, my goal is now to get all upgrades.

the massive mutant boss was in the middle of the game but fairly close to the end. the boss is so big that it takes up times square and it has a couple one hit kill attacks along with a horde of infected minions. I was really expecting it to be the final boss but the game just kept on going after it was dead

You're talking about when you fight Greene. I died like once against her. Once you learn how to dodge her, it isn't hard. And for this boss, (I haven't gotten to him yet, but I watched my brother) all you have to do is keep shooting rockets or grenades at him, or use this strategy.

The best way to defeat him is to use the Y(special attack) with claws, and the Power AOE, after 2 special attacks with claws and a big AOE he usually goes down stunned. Also remember to consume soldiers on the way. gd luck.

the way i beaten was spam it with blade fury to stun it and when its about half it's heatlh heal up near max because there's a time limit next. Just jump high up and use the blade to to cut it down it it's dead

i have a muchhh easier and faster way, beat him down untill the choppers take to the air, then use whip grap with the whip fist to get in one, unload missles on him and dodge his sad attempts to throw stuff at you. very easy, hardly took a single hit.

Have u maxed out your health, regen etc etc yet? You need to....Max level devastator stuns him IF he get the FULL devastator impact. If not, he will proceed to stomp you...so make sure your timing is correct...

Well I just beat him, it was really f***ing hard, but I got it done. I used the blade, no need for Devastator. SO long as you stay close, and spam square and triangle (Or X and Y if you have an X-Box), he will be stunned. Don't forget he does his tendrils after each time, good time to hunt health. It was fairly easy once I tried it like that.

I am also as full devastator capacity but this is irrelevant when you have | | much health left and he stomps on you... you're dead. There's no two ways about it. A stomp from him does more damage than that. I also wear the full armor like you. I study tactics as well - but this is the first game to make me feel like a n00b in many years.

Also, when you get hit are you using the armour or are you without the armour? Reason why this works is that when you innitiate the devastator you get about 4 seconds of invulnerability, so he CANT hit you if you activate it in time but since he is so close he will get the full force of it. Hope that explains it

I'm not talking about when you initiate the Devastator, I'm talking about immediately after the tendrils withdraw back into you completely and you can move.  5ms later he stomps you. Armor or not... at that level of health.. done deal.

Ah, I see. Your Devastator is not quite finished when he stomps you, giving you about 2 seconds of slicing.

Yeah man.....it is pretty long so it gives a burst that hits him...I went through this a few times to make sure and it works. When he is running to you it the time to initiate the devastator so that when he gets to you and tries to swipe, you are already in the 3 - 4 seconds of invulnerability.......

So if I time it correctly after using that Devastator and his stomp does nothing, I hope my 2 seconds of slice and dice is enough to stun him.

If I can repeat that 3 times I might actually beat him.

I purposely have not watched the ending movie because I do not want to spoil that.

Buddy, I don't know what you're doing but when the Hunter smacks with his right arm like that... I go flying.

Also you got EXTREMELY lucky with Stunning him the first time because he stomps on you immediately after the devastator with like 5 mass left. Unless you managed to hit him 1ms before he got you... that's not practical all the time.

I see you're also playing it on a console as opposed to the PC like I am.

Hi, it wasnt luck at all. IF you activate a devastator, always remember you have 3 - 4 seconds of invulnerability so he cant hit me if i activate in that window. Also, since he was so close I was at full devastator power so his stomp action actually opened him to get hit and thats what actually stunned him.
