  • Noam Chomsky himself currently has doubts about associating with her. He hasnt done all his research about her and currently is. So soon you will see his withdrawal of her support. Just watch.

  • very interesting comments wize1. as a non afghan i am ignorant to the details and inner politics. but you gotta admit, she sells a great story. however i did suspect that there is much more going on then she would like most people to know. admittedly there are many questions about her and her opinions. and yes many of her opinions are controversial and to be honest...

  • She does sell a good speech, she obviously has some people who know how charasmatic style of speech sways crowds vulnerable for a solution so easily. Sheis coming across intentionally as Messia-nic, Charasmatic, and saying everything we want to hear, however, how many times have we had leaders that did that but then deceived us?? Many, so lets not be so quick to jump on this wagon and not give it some critical though, second thought as well as lets not take it at face value. We cant afford it.

  • i dont think she actually believes what she is saying. if she were the president (theoretically) i doubt she would ask NATO to leave or to charge every one associated with corruption. to do so would be suicide for her country

  • This is very interesting because corrupt political Pakistanis hated Ahmad Shah because it was him that fought against the Taliban. I wouldnt be surprised if she was a Pakistan agent. This is the ACTUAL truth!

  • Its very interesting that she is going around the world talking to foreigners who dont know one thing about Afghanistan and collecting money from them! Why doesnt she say her "solutions" in Afghanistan. The answer is because shes useless there, everyone knows that shes actually a puppet herself. She does not speak for all Afghans when she calls Ahmad Shah Massoud, the CHOSEN national hero of Afghanistan, a criminal.

  • There are many things unknown but one truth we know is that she does NOT represent Afghanistan and never will because we know she has another agenda and those people behind her who are paying her.

  • Also, there is a lot of unknown history about her and what she actually wants for Afghanistan. She supports RAWA, she supports a communist (chinese styte) political party called Forever Flame, these two things are shady groups to be associated with. As well, where is this funding for her WORLD TOUR coming from? Who taught her english so quick and so well? Who is she working for?

  • @facpass You are very right, Osama was once called the 'bravest man' too in the 1980s. These non-Afghans, who dont even know much about Afghan history are so quick to accept every word of Malalai. Afghanistan has a history of deception and lies - why be so quick to accept this woman as representing all Afghans?! She does not represent all Afghans actually most intellectual Afghans are critical and suspicious of her because of how much she ONLY puts Afghans and Afghanistan down.

  • You are mistaken krissbacon. She has personal rivalries with a few members of the Afghan parliement. She is not fighting for the rights of the Afghan people. Afghan people are joining hands to build their country. She destroys all their efforts. Yes, the world knows the warlords and drug lords are powerful. However, the most important institutions such as Afghan Army is an institution supported by the people and for the people, not for drug lords. You are mistaken...

  • When Malalai calls for a withdrawal of International Force and tell the world to "leave Afghan people alone", she adds her voice to that of the Taliban and the warlords. She even opposes the Afghan Army and the Police by calling them "a dollar Army". By calling the International Security Assistance Force an occupying army, Malalai fuels insurgency and suicide bombing in Afghanistan. She makes Afghans lose hope in their law enforcement agencies and encourages them to revolt.

  • Afghans are sick and tired of revolutions. They want gradual change, but no more revolutions. People are happy that the Afghan Army and the Police are getting their strength. Afghans know the importance of the Army and the Police and that is why they (the wise ones) support the International Force in helping their country build these important institutions. Every Afghan has suffered and finds the Taliban, the warlords and the previous regimes their enemies.

  • She fools people with limited knowledge of Afghanistan. She probably knows that withdrawal of the International Force would take Afghanistan back to a stage of anarchy, but she does not want to mention it because then she would not be called a Revolutionary. (continued in the next comment)

  • interesting perspective facpass and i can see the logic in your argument. however, this woman seems to be one who does not compromise her morals for anyone. not for the drug and war lords that corrupt her country, not for the government officials who are in collusion with such people and the Taliban, and not for the NATO forces that have with callous disregard killed many Afghan civilians.

  • To have such moral certainty and uncompromising morals in the face of a country that seems to be doing just the opposite is nothing but brave.

  • Osama Bin Laden was called the bravest man in 1980s when he was fighting Russians in Afghanistan. He was using words like "invasion" and Islam as tools to motivate Afghans to fight Russians. Today Malalai uses the same words to motivate AFghans to fight the west. I hope you can see where I am going with this... Exploiting the emtions of an Afghan civilian who has lost family members, would make him a suicide bomber. Let's heal the wounds, not to exploit emotions to fight the west.

  • for sure i can see that her message is a potentially diistructive one for nation building in Afghanistan. i just got the impression she has very high standards for her country, which may be unrealistic and as you said damaging overall.
