@InstantMix A few Underworld sounds are still in the final, but only a few. Underworld didn't give them permission, so they had to remove their songs from the game.
Hm. Interesting. I like the particle effects if the boss's exploding projectiles better than in the final, and also the end animation thing. I like the final's sounds better though.
Can you tell me which version of the beta do you have? I got a copy, but it seems to have the old samples and the new(retail)BPM, screwing things up completely(need to re-adjust it with debug controls all the time). And check out the options btw, it's really creepy.
By the way, looking by the preview tracks in training mode, I could hear other ones - for example Chemical Beats by Chemical Brothers in area 4 (or was it 3?)
The official story about Underworld's lack of involvement is that they didn't want to be in a game where you shoot things; apparently they were under the impression Rez was going to turn out violent?
Yeah, Underworld seems to promote some kind of good feeling and flow in their music... It's really sad because I think they would have been a very good team !
I guess it depends how they attempted to explain the plot of the game to Underworld. It's kind of unfortunate that they didn't agree to continue to work with Rez over a shooting game issue (that's a non-violent network sim.).
Nevertheless, Rez found really good music anyway ! I'm glad it turned out well despite the disagreements hehe.
I think that music fitted more in the game than the one that is actually in it, but both songs are awesome ! I guess by hearing the same song over and over again in every stage, it bores you really fast lol
woaw the bass when you push the button to target is great and the music too, is underworld or something like that isn't it? I appreciated heard better the music, how you found this version?
How come Underworld's music seemed like it was pretty present in the beta but was completely nonexistant in the retail version?
Despite how much I love buggie running beeps , I would've loved to play away to some underworld

Does anyone know any solid way to get rid of debug menus during gameplay, as seen here?
-Thanks in advance!

@M1XART Use a second controller, press B, and press Console. Or use a Dreamcast keyboard, and press F12.

If you turn off the Music in the original and keep in the sound effeckts you hear that born slippy Synth when you fight the boss of area 1

But couldn't get them working ingame.

Hey, could you tell me over PM about those preview tracks? I've been researching and hacking the game you see, and this information may be useful.

I like the soundtrack in the game better, if your talking about the layers, but this soundtrack rocks on the boss.

what is the name of the music used in this version?

It's a mix of Cowgirl and Born Slippy, both by Underworld.

have you got any other stage in this version?
sbkodama 4 years ago
Yes, but (excluding area 5) the music is the same in every level and cosmetic differences become few and far inbetween from area 2 on out.
It wouldn't really be worth the effort.
