the reason he probably doesn't wear shoes is it helps him keep tempo and rhythm, and feel more in vibe with stuff. Chris isn't the only one that does it though.. so does Craig Owens, and a lot of other artists.. it's fairly common for musicians to be honest. It's just more comfortable :)
