  • Happy belated 10th (I mean big 4-0) pedro...rip

  • BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL SOUL ONLY TO REACH UP ABOVE YOUR HEAD TO TOUCH HIM ANY TIME YOU NEED SUPPORT: HE IS THERE

  • Happy Birthday PEDRO ZAMORA. Our nation's foremost AIDS Educator of Youth, turned MTV Real World heartthrob would have turned 40 years old today. He was born on Leap Year 1972 and died at 22 years of age on November 11, 1994. As we celebrate his life and reflect on his accomplishments, let us rededicate ourselves to people and diseases that are still too often treated with silence. Thank You Pedro for your inspiration.

  • I am currently watching The Real World San Francisco because of all the great things I heard and because of the milestones it achieved for TV. I knew that Pedro Zamora had passed away but I wasn't aware that it was so shortly after the show. It's strange because watching it I go to see him as an everyday person. When you hear about amazing people who have achieved great things it is hard to see them as everyday people who are just like us because you put them on a pedestal. <3 Pedro

  • It’s strange to think there was a time when this show, and this season in particular, featured young people who were ambitious, intelligent, and deeply thoughtful. This was “The Real World” at its peak, no question.

  • WOW! I can't believe it's been 17 years today since pedro died. I was only 14 in 94 when I statred watching the real world san francisco. I loved tlhis show and it really touched my heart. I always wonder what he would be doing if he was still here today:)

  • pedro will always be in every heart of us, gone but not forgetten the fight is gonna be won, love u pedro rest in peace my friend, i pray a lot for u with deepest love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Gone but never forgotten.

With love to Pedro Zamora for inspiring us with your words and kindness.

  • thanx dude. i appreci8 it.

  • God bless you Pedro. You were such a special person even before the national attention you got. Back when I knew you I was a bit of a pain in the ass. But I always admired you and knew you had a lot of guts being an individual in Hialeah Jr. High. When you won that price from Disney, I was so in awe. GOD BLESS YOU! You were ahead of your time and I am still learning from you. -HFW

  • @ gtcbm; I shouldn't have responded 2 him comment! Better yet mark him a spam!!!

  • @citizenfitz: u r a fucking homophobe! Somebody oughta delete yer comment! Oh wait ur not only homophobic, ur also a spineless coward!!

  • What was the name of the song in the opening credits? It was hauntingly beautiful!

  • Why didn't anybody on MTV talk about puck disability ?

  • 05:57

Is it just me, or Pam is/was really self-absorbed? She was giving a eulogy and she still managed to talk about HER qualities!

Who cares if she was an athlete, honor student or good kid?

  • @EverEvolvingApe yea she sounded like one of those asian girls that are dealing with diversity.

  • Damn...hard to imagine this was over 15 year s ago.

  • Happy Birthday My Friend. It's hard to believe you would be 39 years old today. Thanks for making me a better person. Your work continues!

  • Pedro was an angel sent to us by God.

"Puck" Rainey - his housemate on Real World - mocked Pedro's Cuban accent, and denigrated his career as an AIDS educator, and made anti-gay jokes to Pedro. Pedro should be made a Saint for never punching Puck out.

  • Agreed.Puck was an asshole.RIP Pedro.Your work continues.

  • What a beautiful person. The world needs more Pedros.

  • wow this really made me cry. it makes me really want to live my life to the fullest. no fear. no holding back. its been 16 years and im glad to hear about pedros story and to take something with me from this.

  • As a Cuban-American I'm so proud of what Pedro accomplished in his short life, he will live in all of us for ever and ever, thank you for been such a great communicator and a great educator, RIP now Pedro you were a grand man "YOU DID IT" good bye.

  • "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Matthew 7:1

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." John 8:7

  • @brianquintana7 As a black man and a conservative who supports traditional marriage, I feel sorry for Pedro's family. Puck was wrong for attacking Pedro. BTW, on 3/24/10, (23 days after what would've been Pedro's 38th birthday) David "Puck" Rainey, who ridiculed Pedro during RWSF was badly injured in a car accident. No matter if you're white, black, straight, gay, conservative or liberal, please pray for Pedro and Puck.

  • @citizenfitz No one deserves to die young and how dare you spew your homophobic talking points on here. At least this guy was brave enough to talk about HIV/AIDS. What good have you done in your life? You're sick!!

  • @RealTime88 "No one deserves to die young"? Says who? I'm not "homophobic", just sick of their twisted addictions masquerading as civil rights. Anyway, when you're looking at the reaper - and he's looking back... recall how you were warned.

  • @citizenfitz How the hell do you know he wanted to die young? What you just said if that isn't hateful and homophobic I don't know what is. A twisted addiction? How do you think gay people would be treated if people didn't adovcate for gay rights? What do you think would happen if people with HIV/AIDS did not talk about their disease and did nothing to raise awareness to stop this. At least Pedro was an advocate for a cause. You're a loser!!

  • @RealTime88 Calm down daffodill! All I'm asking is that when you go to be with Pedro, say to him that if he (and you) had the brains to listen to Citizeniftz, you wouldn't have died so early. And what's so "gay" about dying at an average age of 44 with poop on your pee-pee?

  • @citizenfitz I am not gay you little pinhead. A lot of straight people support gay rights. Seth Macfarlane of Family Guy, Tom Hanks, Sean Penn, Brad Pitt, and the talented director Steven Spieldberg. Not that you care but since you are so keen on the truth there is some truth to you.

  • @RealTime88 You may not be gay... yet. But with your limp wristed typing style it's a strong bet. And so what if the people you mentioned are pro-homo? I need only trot out Pedro's (and many other's) early grave to put the lie to it. Also, you shouldn't say foolish things like, "No one deserves to die young...." You might as well say, "No one deserves a crappy car." Or, "No one deserves to go to prison." Or, "No one deserves an inadequate quiche."

  • RIP Pedro.God bless you.

  • @BobReidy Thank you. I am glad some people in here said Pedro was a brave man to talk about HIV and how we all have to be aware of what it is and how someone can get it and to avoid it. God Bless Pedro. We will miss you.

  • Sitting here watching these videos have brought back a flood of memories. Even though I have sat here and cried while watching it, it has also brought a smile to my face. A smile because of all the good that Pedro did while he was here with us. For me as I am sure with many others, Pedro was the face of a person living with AIDS. Just by watching him on The Real World I came to understand that there are good people with the disease. I wish he was still with us. Pedro u are loved and missed

  • @jobiec420 @jobiec420 dude i fuken cried too cuz i been knowing about pedro since i wus a freshman in high skoo and know i find cumfort in watching him and his videos cuz i feel like im positive and its been so stressful for me to wakeup thinking that i have hiv and ive been soo scared to get tested cuz i have all these fears and watching pedro makes me stronger that i should get tested cuz even if i do end up being positive i could still have a future and accomplish what i whant cuz pedro did

  • Wow...I share a birthday with Pedro, I wish I could've met him...

  • At the beginning of this video, what Enya song was it?

  • Thanks. Pedro was truly amazing. Real World was just 20 weeks of his life, and perhaps the least noteworthy. It's not that he went on The Real World that matters, but rather why he chose to do it in the first place. He did 538 speaking engagements in the 5 years that I had the privilege of knowing him.

  • @brianquintana7 Wow that is a lot. Pedro really wanted to make a difference and stop HIV/AIDS. He wanted to alert us all of how someone can get it and how to avoid HIV/AIDS.

  • @brianquintana7 It may have been a small part of his life, but it was a huge part of mine and so many other people's lives back then and today. I obviously didn't know him personally, but he made a huge impact on my life. Thanks for posting.
