Firstly it's pronounced "ARK-ives" not "ARCH-ives". Secondly, this game was terrible. It was glitchy (I noclipped through the scenery a bunch of times) the voice acting was hilarious and the whole idea of looking through other people's eyes was useless because you only knew what they could see, not where they were. I was lucky I rented this, all the terror was drained out of the game with the god-awful acting, muddy graphics, boring characters and unoriginal storyline.
It was playing this game that I discovered I can't play horror games. Lol. They freak me out too much. Things I learned from this game: 1) Zombies can open doors 2) They can also run after you and shoot guns. Lol!
I wish blood curse on ps3 wasn't so dumb down, it's fun but way too easy to kill shibito so don't need to run from em really there. This game was more fun.

Well actually, the Archives, as said by Linshao, will in fact allow you to follow and understand the story better but not only that but they'll give you a spiffy little internet link on one of them and if you get ALL of them, well you get to see an uber awesome video at the end. :D

When i played this game for the first time, i really was scared about that cop in the beginning... hey, he had a gun, and i a flashlight?? It took like hours for me to find that key in that room XD it was fun to runover the cop with the car
i disagree mainly for nostalgia reasons i think that when siren came out games were a heart racing experience that kept me on the edge of my seat (or couch) the new siren isn't nearly as difficult that being the main flaw in the game but other then that there very similar except graphics wise i find a game more horrific the less obvious things are that's just me and there is a limit i don't find a dot scary cause it could be anything of course.
Its about the 10 single people that did'nt became zombies... The Zombies are trying to kill the survivors and you must kill them before they kill you ^^ The people became Zombies when a loud siren made them walk into the water, and somehow the water made them into zombies...^^ do you understand now!? So, the game is about killing zombies ^^
I guess the water has always been there, its just som kind of red poison or something that transformed the people... maybe you get to now more if you play the game ^^

If I am remembering correctly the shibito are supposed to have night vision, so I don't think the flashlight will alert them, it's more over of whether or not you walk or crouch.

Well, I do own a copy of Forbidden Siren 2 from the UK but the only way I could play it would be to buy a bunch of stuff that I am not sure will even make the game work.
Or I could learn Japanese, but that would take too long. lol

quality isn't bad, good position of camera, but can barely hear your voice (not saying your quiet, just the sound coming from the T,V. was louder)

The sucky part about having no weapons is that you cannot even fight with your fists in Siren. XD
You have to rely on ninja stealthiness!!! 8D

In my opinion this is a good and scary game, it's similar to Silent Hill and Resident Evil.
As for Siren 2, it looks good, I've never played it.
Siren 2 was never released in America so you can only get it in the U.K. and Japan.

Nah, they're just the smart kind of Zombie.
These zombies know what they are doing and can use weapons.
They're similar to the Zombies in Resident Evil 4.
