Looks comfortable, but still embarrassingly ugly! And for <$10,000 I can get sleek lines, 50mpg, go 200 mph, keep the insurance under 200/yr, and have more fun than Disney.
Seriously, this might be the worst review of any kind that I have ever read. Change the name, now that is the beginning of a great review. Can't find a gear, CVT doesn't have gears. I guess you people probably ride crotch rockets and of course this bike is not going to compare to them. I had a 1400 cruiser before this and I would ride the 650 every day compared to the cruiser. I think it's handling is great, the balance is low and it corners easier than any bike I have had.
"The clutch is always slipping and it can't find a gear" Really!? A vehicle with no gears not being able to find a gear? Something is seriously wrong here. Quick! Send it back for repairs. F.Y.I. the only available scooter on the market right now with gears is the Genuine Stella (you know, the P50 equivalent). I've ridden it and a bunch others. I assure you, all other scooters "can't find a gear" for a good reason.
Suzi Burger! I've got a 400. I went from a 150cc chinese scoot to this 400 loafer. The difference was crazy. The 150cc was agile, and I could throw it around a lot. The 400 is like riding a cow. It loafs down the road. But, yes, it seems a lot of them do slippage or don't have immediate power. When I'm down the road at 75ph, if I want to pass someone, I give it the gas, but it's not an immediate take-off. And if you're gonna 2-up, def go with the 650.
I came off a harley 1200 sporty on to a burgman and I swear and it's way more "sporty" mr beardy guy has his head up his ass once you get to know the tranny it's awesome and i've scraped the center stand while cornering and never felt unstable on turns crank up the preload and front tire 41psi over 1000 km in one day and never even blinked!!! these guys suck!!
@Loveya1038 Totally agree with you, however I want to point out that the Integra isn't out yet. They couldn't have tested it. Sadly. I'm really excited for it though too! Also, it is not a scooter in the usual sense because the engine is not mounted to the swingarm. It has a motorcycle style suspension/drivetrain but just a scooter style transmission and seating position. It should be an awesome crossover. Let me know if you find a review of it.
I got my 650 Burgman in April and it is a great scooter- motorcycle. I went to the Scooting the Ozarks rally in Sept in Eureka Springs Ar and handled all the rides with ease. In full auto the power button can be used to slow down into the turns with out having to use a lot of brake. I also used the manual side to shift in and out of the turns. After watching this reveiw I know these people did not spent alot of time in the saddle. I also ride with a group of HD riders and keep up just fine.
Hahaha clutch constantly slipping...that was the funniest comment in the whole video. This guy obviously has NO CLUE about transmissions and what a slipping clutch feels like.
What a FAIL. Weights on the Burgman? Not too bright... Hitting the power for more? Trying to be snarky? Ignorant. The power button keeps the motor at a higher RPM band. These guys are amateurs at best. I appreciate an objective review and don't disagree with the findings or liking the T-Max more, but you failed on research. NOT renewing my MotoUSA subscription. FAIL.
Man I SCREAM through corners on my Burgman, grinding my lower plastic body on the asphalt, my friends couldn't even keep up with me when we went through the canyons in S. California, sooooooooo easy to ride. Are these guys epileptics riding a scooter or something?
by their own test ... T-Max , while under acceleration it only trailed the 150cc-larger Suzuki Burgman by fractions of a second, it’s best being a 8.83. And though it also trails the Suzuki on sheer top speed (115 mph vs. 104 mph),
..... I think what they are saying is that they are short as f&*(), and not able to handle a real man size, state of the arts scooter. Soo let's blame the FERRARI of scooters instead of or own inefficiencies!
Who paid these fuckers to give a shit review? The 650 Burgman is the best maxi scooter out there!! And giving a negative rating on the name?!?!?! Come on!!! What a weak ass review
what makes this review even more pathetic is that they are complaining about the automatic transmissions when it comes with a manual option. Every single male in this video is stupid as hell.
You should really check the levels on your vocals, or maybe do a dry run with headphones before you post cause the drastic volume changes really is obtrusive with my enjoyment of your usually very good videos. A little more post Production will go a long way, Great Job otherwise keep up the good work and thanx.

Okay, I've had 3 Burgies, and have loved them. Thought they were amazingly quick (kept up with Goldwings), and that they handled very well.
I'll be getting another one soon, and will KEEP this one! :)

I do not know much English, but if these people comparing a burgman650 with a Kymco, I think they do not understand anything about motorbikes.

CVT-continuously variable transmission. Congratulations on not knowing what it is and what all scooters have.

Nothing wrong with scooters, but I think its kinda funny to talk about cornering aggressively...scooters are more or less commuters.
