i think the mysterious figure is a new person to kingdom hearts.
but if you want to beat him then you should have 2 union rush and 2 curags in your deck. i beat him like 4 times with terra and 2 times eith ventus. I didin't beat him with aqua yet because she's kinda on a low level right now and i'm to lazy to level her up.
@themysteriousfigure1 the easiest way i saw was some guy had 4 thunder/fire surges with 4 curagas and with aqua an ven it worked out awesome i defeated him in critical with ventus level 55-60 i dont exactly remember and hey when u up the difficulty from say standard to crit. when starting a new game u get less health than u do say on the standard file right?cause if not i dont see how the hell my standard files are all so high
@Dravos22 use ven or aqua and hit up 4 thunder/fire surges and 4 curagas and spam that friggin dodge roll/cartwheel and hope for the best it also helps to have all abilities or just the boosting abilities for elements and attack magic hastes with the screen abilities(i.e. dark screen) with second chance+once more cause not having even one of those makes the fight have no point in playing

@Dravos22 yeah once you get the hang of it, the mysterious figure becomes kind of easy i hate how with vanitas i pretty much had to use ice creams to beat him it was annoying
You have to do a lot of dodging and keep heals prepped, but he's a lot less... sudden. I like that fight because it feels so even-- not like you're against sixteen health bars a'la Sephiroth, it's almost like a clean one-on-one.
Save for the ridiculous amounts of damage he does. I haven't beaten Mysterious Figure yet though.
Man, I have Ventus at level 50, Void Gear, 5x Thunder Surge, Curaga, 2x Mega Potion...I still can't beat this guy...and this Ventus is one BEGINNER MODE. I can't beat this guy on BEGINNER MODE! Proof that even on the easiest difficulty this guy can still kick your sorry ass.
@SuperMissile Leaf Bracer, Once More, Second Chance all there? You really want to remove the mega potions and replace them with cure. The potions are useless because anything the MF hits you with is likely to drops your hp from full to zilch if both Once More and Second Chance are not equiped. Not to mention, there's a bunch of abilities you can choose to disable, because they really don't help.
@SpamExtraSpamandSpam I'll have to make Leaf Bracer but yes I do have OM and SC plus 5x Thunder Boost. I shut off all the unecessary abilities like HP Boost (like it matters) and the best ways I can damage him are with Counter Rush, Reversal Slash and Stratosphere (when its built up).
@SuperMissile You wanna remove all those as well, all you really need in the fight is a good thumb to mash square because you're using Ventus, and your Surges and Cures. I rarely bother blocking his stuff, so I just roll around and look for openings to Surge into him. In desperate situations, you can use Surge as a dodge roll of sorts, but try not to.
@RemembranceBlade I wouldn't be if it weren't for that rewind move of his. But I seem to mess up alot when he starts his invisible phase and starts attacking with everything he has, including Mega Flare (which he shot 5 times in a row one round), Meteor and Doom.
@SuperMissile ONLY hit him with thundersurge. He hardly ever does the rewind move actually..... He did it a couple time's to me. AND CONSTANTLY dodge when he does that. Don't stop pressing it as fast as you can. Take some chance's, like when he's running at you. That's what I did.
@RemembranceBlade he only does the time reversal when you use normal "attack" on him, but never when using commands. as for actually damaging him, set up your deck however you wish, but include Union Rush. it takes a while to reload, but if you know how to use it, it can really lay a damn good hurt on him. i can take out several bars of health from the beginning of the battle with it. i can beat him rather easilly now, but with Union Rush, i can take him down countless times in a row pretty easy

Am i the only one who thinks that maybe MF is just the first Organization 13 member? It probably contradicts so many things but, to me, it has some sense to it. I mean, Nobodies must have been around for a while so maybe the possibility of a very strong nobody isn't entirely impossible.
Maybe not Organization 13 leader but just like the origin of the Organization. that is just my own opinion but i cant find anything on this guy so i can only assume my own and others assumptions on him.
@Nadesico360 Mysterious Figure and Vanitas Sentiment are the results of all the over reactive KH fans complaining the secret bosses were "to easy". That's why in Proud and Critical Mode in BBS those two can kill you in one blow without Once More and Second Chance. So really, don't blame Square for those two, blame the fans. =/
Well Ventus exists as a beeing... he was the apreantice of Master Xehanort; he wanted that Ventus used darkness and made him fight Neoshadows, since Ventus was incapable of doing so as was beaten by the heartless, Master Xehanort split Ventus heart into 2. Therefore tere were two beeing, Ventus, the boy with Ventus' pure light heart, and Vanitas, the boy with Ventus' pure darkness heart...
...Master Xehanort thought that Ventus could not survive only with the light since Vanitas had taken a lot of his heart. In the beginning of the game, Ventus' heart links with another newborn heart, Sora's. Xehanort want that Vanitas and Ventus fight each other so that the X-Blade can be forged.
@razorflame45 Ventus and Vanitas emerge with each other but, altought the body's are reunited, the hearts are not, and Ventus and Vanitas fight. Ventus destroyed Vanitas and the X-blade, and since this x-blade was made on Ventus and Vanitas heart, Ventus heart would be destroyed as well... As this would happen, after the battle, he emerged into Sora's heart light again, and Sora have putten Ventus heart inside him...
On KH1 when Sora sttabed himself with the keyblade, Sora's nobody was created, but since Sora had Ventus heart, that heart give the appearence to Roxas... If Ventus heart was not inside Sora, Roxas was identical to Sora and not to Ventus... the question now is, were was Ventus heart after the creation of Roxas? Sora, Roxas, Naminé or Ventus?

As to my guess to who he is, I think he's Ventus's Nobody. He acts like a player from the game, he has 2 laser blades that he holds back hand and if Ventus lost his heart to sora, why wouldnt a Nobody be made?
Secret boss in Birth by Sleep. Right now we don't know anything about him (or her, lol) except that he wears the Organization outfit and wields weapons similar to Xemnas's, using a reverse grip like Ven's. And that he can teleport, split himself into a bunch of copies, turn invisible, etc.
we call him Mysterious Figure for a reason. look at the initials. "MF" for MOTHER FUCKER!! if the dude has that much *ahem* time to master his skills to that degree, he really needs to get laid >.>

Erauqs is aqua, and this guy is similar to ventus. My guess is that this guy is more of an observer and is tracking everyone minus Micky (due to his all around abilities). The awnser to his various movements is because as I said overachiever. He created so many tecniques that he annoyed everyone. As for the eternal blade things. I have a theory that they are sort of like keyblades for most opponents. Notice that a keyblade reveals what kind of fighter a person is. Hence look at aqua, ven, terra

Let me tell you about this one time I was walking down the street. I was happily looking around when I saw a Shadow... I kicked it. Then 1000 Shadow appeared, covered by 200 Large Body, 100 Green Requiem, 10 Invisible and 5 Behemoths. This song started playing and I found myself wielding Oathkeeper. A stupid Shadow kicks me. "Stop it" Again. "Stop it!" A large body tackles me "STOP IT!" An Invisible screws me. I somehow go Final and get ahold of my dear Ultima. ¿Figure what happened next?
I want to know who's bright idea it was to make this boss over powered. The only attacks I can dodge are the flame attack, the clones, sometimes the whip, sometimes the death counter, and the tornado. The lasers I can only avoid as aqua because of her sheild barrier. And why can't we have aeral recovery in this game, it would have really helped with this fight.
now that u mention it, his attacks are similar. like those things that shoot lasers out of them and those hook things, those are terra's moves from when in KH2 u have to fight his armor or his "mind" and he holds his blades or ""etheral blades as some call it" are held backhand like ventus. and his thing where he flys around with fire around him, thats one of aqua's commands.. wow.
I am seriously considering worshiping he Mysterious Figure. He's got so many instant kill moves, looks freakin' awesome when fighting, AND he has the best theme song ever!
I finally just beat him!!! I did a victory dance too, and I don't care if I looked retarded doing it, CUZ I FINALLY BEAT THAT MF!!!! Yeah, it was on standard mode, but this is coming from a girl who hasn't done secret bosses before.

Also to confirm to you all that the mysterious figure is the 3rd Master. notice every place you battle final Bosses in Kingdom Hearts. Where you fight the secret boss is usually related to the boss himself. 3rd Chair during the Mark Of Mastery Test has no one in it and 3 has always been a special number in KH. Yen Sid taught Eraqus and Xehanort and the chair doesnt belong to him. It belongs to the 3rd Master , who is either the protagonist or antagonist in next KH Saga
@k99y77 Read the comment I sent you. He is most likely the person that Xehanort was talking about. IF you remember in the past games , when you fight against someone who is a nobody or heartless, they usually have ethereal blades as weapons.
@GlobalPSPower That's a new way for me to look at it...probably, it's an antagonist or to-be antagonist (KH1 : Xemnas, KH2 : Terra, whose body became Xehanort's new vessel, although he was a protaginist in the prequel).
Now assuming that the area has something related AND that the character is known or has a link to known characters already, and the fight falls out of canon, it perhaps is Aqua('s nobody) or a new Xehanort out of a new type of creatures who miss a part.
To any one else who commensts: You all do know that Nomura has us in lock down mode pretty much. IF you guys remember in the past. A Secret Boss = New Kingdom Hearts Game. Their were 4 Secret Bosses if I am correct.
No Heart = Xehanort. Master Sentiment = Eraqus. Vanitas Sentiment = Vanitas / Ven Emotions left over and Mysterious Figure = ???. Mysterious Figure maybe the other person Xehanort talked about or is in the next KH Saga. We have 4 antagonist now. Guess how many keybladers their were
it must be eraqus's nobody because in kingdom hearts 2 it says that when one with a strong heart dies and becomes a heartless the body starts acting on its own and becomes a nobody and its his world and it kind of makes sense because its like he wants to see if they are strong enough for an upcoming force maybe in kingdom hearts 3?
@mariofan010 That does not really make sense, although we don't know what happens with the body after dying, we can probably be pretty sure Eraqus's body faded, instead of staying behind - also, he had no heartless made, and from some sources i've read, apparently the appearance of a nobody means a corresponding heartless - and Eraqus's heart did not spawn a heartless, nor inhabit enough darkness to do that later on.
ahhh yes, mysterious figure, the very reason on why my square button broke (and ironically, when i gave my psp up for service, the other players who came to get their psps fixed had the same reasons XD)

Three new secret bosses in KH:BBS-FM. No Heart (Xehanort's original armor/Xemnas' armor), Armor of the Master (Eraqus Sentiment), and Monstro (whale from Pinnochio). The Japanese are freaking lucky.
Actually, i dont give a damn about who the Unknown guy is, but i always think he is not Xemnas. You can fight a hooded Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix

I dont know, but to me, since the background is where all Birth By Sleeps begin, I believe that this person is Sora as an adult. I know that he isn't in the story of this game but Sora still belongs to the world of kingdom hearts...where it could be easy to not see the light.

Beated this guy withouth any cheat, neither potions/curaga/any other skill, just normal attacks and heal block, with Aqua.

As to my guess to who he is, I think he's Ventus's Nobody. He acts like a player from the game, he has 2 laser blades that he holds back hand and if Ventus lost his heart to sora, why wouldnt a Nobody be made?

Secret boss in Birth by Sleep. Right now we don't know anything about him (or her, lol) except that he wears the Organization outfit and wields weapons similar to Xemnas's, using a reverse grip like Ven's. And that he can teleport, split himself into a bunch of copies, turn invisible, etc.

Erauqs is aqua, and this guy is similar to ventus. My guess is that this guy is more of an observer and is tracking everyone minus Micky (due to his all around abilities). The awnser to his various movements is because as I said overachiever. He created so many tecniques that he annoyed everyone. As for the eternal blade things. I have a theory that they are sort of like keyblades for most opponents. Notice that a keyblade reveals what kind of fighter a person is. Hence look at aqua, ven, terra

I belive this guy is neither good or bad. Similar to xemnas in kh1 fm. It was a test. I want to know who's bright idea it was to make this boss over powered. The only attacks I can dodge are the flame attack, the clones, sometimes the whip, sometimes the death counter, and the tornado. The lasers I can only avoid as aqua because of her sheild barrier. And why can't we have aeral recovery in this game, it would have really helped with this fight.

now that u mention it, his attacks are similar. like those things that shoot lasers out of them and those hook things, those are terra's moves from when in KH2 u have to fight his armor or his "mind" and he holds his blades or ""etheral blades as some call it" are held backhand like ventus. and his thing where he flys around with fire around him, thats one of aqua's commands.. wow.

Just beat him with Terra on Standard Mode and wow that battle was intense and I won it with just pure luck. Hopefully it's easier with Ven and Aqua

Also to confirm to you all that the mysterious figure is the 3rd Master. notice every place you battle final Bosses in Kingdom Hearts. Where you fight the secret boss is usually related to the boss himself. 3rd Chair during the Mark Of Mastery Test has no one in it and 3 has always been a special number in KH. Yen Sid taught Eraqus and Xehanort and the chair doesnt belong to him. It belongs to the 3rd Master , who is either the protagonist or antagonist in next KH Saga

@k99y77 Read the comment I sent you. He is most likely the person that Xehanort was talking about. IF you remember in the past games , when you fight against someone who is a nobody or heartless, they usually have ethereal blades as weapons.

@GlobalPSPower That's a new way for me to look at it...probably, it's an antagonist or to-be antagonist (KH1 : Xemnas, KH2 : Terra, whose body became Xehanort's new vessel, although he was a protaginist in the prequel).
Now assuming that the area has something related AND that the character is known or has a link to known characters already, and the fight falls out of canon, it perhaps is Aqua('s nobody) or a new Xehanort out of a new type of creatures who miss a part.

To any one else who commensts: You all do know that Nomura has us in lock down mode pretty much. IF you guys remember in the past. A Secret Boss = New Kingdom Hearts Game. Their were 4 Secret Bosses if I am correct.
No Heart = Xehanort. Master Sentiment = Eraqus. Vanitas Sentiment = Vanitas / Ven Emotions left over and Mysterious Figure = ???. Mysterious Figure maybe the other person Xehanort talked about or is in the next KH Saga. We have 4 antagonist now. Guess how many keybladers their were

Definitely has that "sinister" feel, yet with a feeling of "elegance" and "rogue-ness", so to speak. It's a strange, yet epic song of struggle.
And from what I assume, the dude is totally a time traveler or something, y'know, because of the clock motif. I like it.

it must be eraqus's nobody because in kingdom hearts 2 it says that when one with a strong heart dies and becomes a heartless the body starts acting on its own and becomes a nobody and its his world and it kind of makes sense because its like he wants to see if they are strong enough for an upcoming force maybe in kingdom hearts 3?

@mariofan010 That does not really make sense, although we don't know what happens with the body after dying, we can probably be pretty sure Eraqus's body faded, instead of staying behind - also, he had no heartless made, and from some sources i've read, apparently the appearance of a nobody means a corresponding heartless - and Eraqus's heart did not spawn a heartless, nor inhabit enough darkness to do that later on.

I dont know, but to me, since the background is where all Birth By Sleeps begin, I believe that this person is Sora as an adult. I know that he isn't in the story of this game but Sora still belongs to the world of kingdom hearts...where it could be easy to not see the light.
