i was just wondering when you have the netted cap with the sew in is it still possible to wash and condition and do everything showed us how to with the cap on? and still keeping are real hair healthy?
i just wanted to know if you use the net on the hair before the sew in do you just put the shampoo and stuff on top of the net so it gets unto your own hair which is braided? and do you do the same also when moisturizing it daily?
@ProudMomOfIsaiah Thanks!! Glad you liked it! Most of the time I air dry just because I usuaully wash on days I am around the house. If I am in a rush, I use a hand blow dryer. Really depends on your preference.
@yobiwolrd07 honestly luv it won't blend well. a number 1 is jet black and and number 2 is more of a brown tint. There is going to be a clear difference between the weave and ur hair because they are two completely different colors. if you had a 1b- off black you could get by with blending that with a 1-jet black. Hope this is helpful.
I don't know if i just missed you say it but .. with this maintainence and everything , how long do you keep the weave in before taking it out to fully wash it (as you mentioned), before re-installing.
I heard 2 months is a good time so i assume then the weave would be taken out completely and then re-installed after a week or so for another 2 months. But I've only had weave once and it was for a week so I dont know
Im sorry, I musy ask where are you from, meaning state, because that is not expensive at all. I wish the weave here were that cheap. Even though I dont wear MilkyWay Dreamweaver, if it were that cheap here in chicago, more people would probably buy it. But you should try Indi Remy by Bobby Boss, it is around $100 a pack, but it is so worth it! You can wash it and condition it just like real hair, and it turns out nice everytime. It can last up about 6-8 months with good maintenance; an Hollywood
I just got a sew in and I like this hair its called Dream Weaver its nice but expensive. Its $22.00 a pack for 10".I also got 12' and that was $29.00.I know if u don't wash it properly it can mildue.I was told this makes sense.I wash my hair every week.I washed it days before my sew in.I use oils also but haven't yet its only been 3 days I will though.I was told not to get it on the hair.I won't.Thnks for the tips. The person who did my hair was rough on my hair and used a small comb.Any advice?
No prob. I'm glad you found it helpful! I suggest finding a protein product to help strengthen your hair. I use Mega-Tek but I Mane n Tail also has a protein spray. Hopefully, this can prevent your hair from breakage.
I buy the castor oil from a local health store. You might be able to get it from Vitamin Shop or similar store. Right now I am using Hello Hydration shampoo by Herbal Essence. Its ok. I am porbably going to switch to a new shampoo. I haven't found a shampoo I really like yet.
Yes ma'am....it makes it so much easier to apply to my scalp. I currently mix meg-tek with castor oil. I plan to use these products together for the next three months and then evaluate my results.
Wait, so when you so when you wear a netted cap, are you sewing the hair just on the cap or threw the cap onto your hair too? I know this sounds dumb lol but I'm trying to do something different to my hair and I'm doin a lil research
THis is actually not a dumb question at all......I sew majority of the tracks to the cap (about 80%). I also sew through the cap in different places just to make sure the tracks secured in place.
Can I mosturize my hair underneath the sew in with olive oil to keep in mosturize because that's all I use to mosturize it with..

Very good video! Very informative! Loved it! One question: After you wash your hair, how do you dry it? air dry, blow dry, or hooded dryer?

Hey, i just wanted to know how you keep natural hair within the plaits of weave moisturized?

im thinking about getting sewn-in hair extentions but i cant balance the pros and cons out.
my hair is shoulder length and soft curls but doesnt grow much =/
do sewn-ins help hair grow and would it damage it?
iv also heard you have to keep going back to the salon every so often to 'maintain' it .... is that true?
