I can respect that - but Google is much faster on PC. The Mac experience pretty much demands you marry Safari, but I find myself using Firefox on Macs.
I use Chrome for fast surfing (it really is recognizably faster), Firefox for dev and work (because of all the plugins), IE to see how IE users view the world (rarely) and Safari sometimes on the Mac.
google chrome sucks its ok overall except you cant log into any account on any page. when i try to log into my youtube account it just brings me back a page and same with myspace twitter and ustream.
I don't know what problem you're having. But, I'm using Google Chrome right now, and do most of the day. I've not had this log in failure problem you speak of.
Bakes, I don't know if TheOneMitallica1 did or didn't but I did.
And, I believe my security settings were set to medium level. I'll check that out. This is likely a tad behind since they've released newer versions of Chrome.
I think you've missed out on two excellent exclusive features.
The ability to create standalone apps from web apps is very useful. Now, things like mail and streaming audio are not affected by the browser hanging or by accidental tab deletion.
The Incognito mode offers a browser window that doesn't not create any history in your caches. If you regularly clean your private history, for whatever reasons, this is a very slick solution.
I've had two folks report to me that it doesn't function well in a virtual machine (Windows running in Linux). But, my experience with it is that it's fast and clean. I've had another guy tell me that Firefox3 runs slow on his PC and my experience is that Firefox3 is screaming fast. So, obviously there are lots of environmental effects that can change its behavior. I'd saw a good program hits the CPU hard and maxes out memory for short bursts. An overwhelmed PC won't like that.
no it wasn't that they thought that the browser was bad. it was more of some guy saying "o look you can put an icon on the desktop or start menu with google chrome" and it's like we all know that, why the hell are you tell us that??
i sware i will g crazy if i see another vid on chrome that says that the tab runs as a seprate process, well it does but it isan't exactly new, IE8 beta 1 has the same feature and was released before chrome.
